2011 Ford F-150 RWD
I installed these shocks front and back and they really give the truck an aggressive level stance. I can actually feel a difference in the rear shocks. When ever I drive over a rail road crossing or hit a bump, the back wheels would sort of lose control for a second but since the install it handles way better. I didn't order the front shocks from this site but since I'm already reviewing the product I'll go ahead and talk about it too. I chose the 1.95" setting to make the truck as level as possible and it did give a bit more of a rough ride but that is expected when raising your vehicle. It's not horrible but I only notice because this truck drove like a cloud before. Overall I am very satisfied with the purchase of this product.

Customer Question I have a 2014 XLT supercrew cab short bed 4x2...I need to bring up the front 1.5"-2" to level the stance..how would you recommend I do this? Front spacer? with which shock?

Asked by: SilverSleeper - 8/8/2020
Customer Answer What leveling kit you should go with will depend on what you're doing with your truck, what kind of ride quality you're looking for, and what your budget is. Your best bet would be to give us a call directly at 623-434-5277 so we can get more specific about what you're looking for.

Customer Question I am looking to replace the stock shocks on my 2014 Ford Tremor 2WD, would these be a good replacement? Also if i decide to level out the truck by lowering the rear end via shackle, would these still work? Thank you!

Asked by: Braum Orphan - 4/26/2019
Customer Answer This shock would be a good choice for a Tremor at stock ride height. However, it would not be suitable for a lowered application.

Customer Question I have a 2WD 2014 F150 3.7L with a 6” lift kit. I see these won’t fit, does Bilstein make a 5100 series for my specs or will the 4WD 5100 work on my 2WD?

Asked by: Kennon - 4/2/2018
Customer Answer Unfortunately, Bilstein does not have a shock that will work as a standalone for a 6" lift kit on your truck. Your best bet would be to use the BDS Fox 2.0 Rear Shock for 6" Lift Kits.

Customer Question Will these rear shocks fit my 2015 Ford F-150 XLT Supercrew 2 Wheel drive Ecco Boost 3.5 liter?

Asked by: Eric - 4/6/2016
Customer Answer This shock will technically bolt up to your truck. However, Bilstein is currently working on 5100 Series Struts for the 2015-2016 F150s, though we're not certain yet if they're going to release a set of rear shocks specific to the 2015-2016 F150s, or just carry over the fitment of the 2009-2014 shocks. You may want to wait until more we hear more from Bilstein about their upcoming releases.

Customer Question I am between these and the Rancho xl9000s. I have the Rancho Quicklift up front which gives me a .5" rake. Would getting these add a full inch to the rear? Which rear shock would you recommend? I liked the adjustability feature of the Ranchos but I honestly don't feel much difference when I turn the dial on my QuickLifts.

Asked by: Nicholas Galmin - 9/15/2015
Customer Answer Rear shocks alone don't add lift, but these shocks can generally handle an additional 1.5" of lift without issues. If you're predominantly driving on the street or doing fairly light-duty off-roading, these shocks will work fine. If you tend to go off-road fairly often on medium or moderate forest roads or trails, you may want to look at the Fox 2.0 Rear Shock Package.

Customer Question If i wanted to get a 1.5" rear block for my 2wd should I get these 2wd Bilsteins or the 4wd bilsteins since they are built to fit with a rear block?

Asked by: Nicholas Galmin - 9/15/2015
Customer Answer You can really do either. These 2WD-specific shocks can reasonably handle up to 1.5" of additional rear lift. The 4WD shocks are built for the taller block on those trucks, and would also work, while also giving you the option of going with a larger block in the future.
