2017 Ford F250 crew cab 4x4
The Icon dual steering stabilizer kit was a perfect addition to my 2017 Ford F250 6.7L with the Icon 4" lift kit. The dual stabilizers took the shake in the wheel out that you get over large expansion joints or potholes at speed while also keeping better control on pot holed dirt roads. The kit is high quality and goes on in less than an hour with basic hand tools. We use our truck a lot for towing our boat and toy hauler. It has definitely improved the experience. We live in the PNW = wet and rainy. The finish on the shocks and lift parts are holding up well to the elements. Much better than some high-cost name brands I have had in the past that the shocks rusted out in a couple of years (Fox, FabTec).

Purchased to resolve the dreaded death wobble. Problem 100% solved. Truck has been leveled, not lifted. Bumpers are not required, if thr truck has been leveled. Customer service was fantastic. Shipping was fast. Installation took approximately 1 hour. It all bolted up with zero modifications. I would highly recommend.

Got the icon stabilizer kit because truck had bad death wobble had it installed truck rides amazing problem solved. Definitely worth the money.

After experiencing the "Death Wobble" on numerous occasions I bought this kit and installed it easily within 1 hour. If I had to do it again it would take me about 30 minutes. My steering wheel does not track back to center as well after turning however, after several weeks of driving the death wobble has not happened again. This is a great kit and I highly recommend it.

Great item, looks killer and although I've never experienced death wobble I know it exists and I think this would work well to prevent it from happening. Not difficult to install if you have the correct sockets etc..

Customer Question How will this kit affect the driving? I've driven a truck with dual rancho's and it wanders like a lost soul. I know that is cheap and this is expensive so the experience may be different

Customer Answer This kit does a good job of tightening up the front steering, though you do have to keep in mind that other components can be responsible for adverse handling (tie rod, track bar, sway bar, front springs, front shocks, etc.). The only potential downside of this kit is if you have a later 2017-2022 Super Duty at stock ride height and you need the bump stop spacers, your ride can get pretty rough. However, if your truck is leveled and doesn't require the spacer, your ride stays pretty clean.

Customer Question Will the dual stabilizer fit our 2019 F-350 with stock ride height? No off-road, just a small amount of plowing with regular towing of 14,000 equipment trailer.

Customer Answer This dual stabilizer kit will fit a 2019 Super Duty at stock ride height. However, ICON does highly recommend using their bump stop spacer on the 2017-2022 Super Dutys in order to clear the radiator during articulation, though the bump stops can cause a bit rougher of ride. Granted, that may not matter on a dedicated plow truck.

Customer Answer Unfortunately, we can't guarantee it since the ICON bracket uses two of the stock differential cover bolts, and the increased depth of the Mag Hytec diff cover would probably cause issues.

Customer Answer The bump stop spacer is only recommended for 2017-2021 Super Dutys that are going to see heavy articulation of the front end. The 2017-2021 Super Dutys have a different front suspension geometry and a lower radiator mount than the older trucks and at full articulation, the ICON steering stabilizers can come into contact with the radiator, which can ruin your day pretty quickly off-road.

Customer Answer In general, bolt-on upgrades like the ICON Stabilizer Kit will not have an effect on your truck's Powertrain or Bumper-to-Bumper Warranties. However, all warranty decisions are made by individual dealerships and service centers, and your best bet would be to talk to your service advisor directly about what kind of leeway they give.

Customer Answer According to ICON, this kit will not work out of the box on an F450. The F450s have a larger tie rod diameter, and ICON's tie rod clamps won't fit without modifications. ICON does not currently have a kit that's specific to and F450 as of this time.

Customer Answer According to ICON, this kit will likely fit a F350 chassis cab at stock ride height without issues. That being said, ICON has found that some F350s have clearance issues with this kit at full articulation and you may need ICON's extended bump stop kit part# 64037 to prevent contact.

Customer Question Is it recommended that there be a lift of any kind in the truck before installing? Would like to just get better stability out of my stock steering.

Customer Answer According to ICON, this kit does not have a minimum ride height requirement, though they do recommend keeping the factory bump stops at 2.5" of leveling or lower. That being said, at stock ride height with 35" tires or lower, you may want to consider doing a single stock-replacement stabilizer rather than a full dual kit, depending on how bad your death wobble and stability issues are.
