With its factory tune, 5 Star's test truck put down peak numbers of 220 horsepower and and 218lb-ft of torque. With 5 Star's 93 octane Performance/Tow tune, their truck managed to throw down 233 horsepower and 229lb-ft of torque, a gain of 13 horsepower and 11lb-ft of torque. While the peak gains aren't overly dramatic, 5 Star's 93 octane Performance Tune provided a whopping 210lb-ft of torque at 2500rpm, while the factory tune barely managed to crank out 170lb-ft, and not flattening back out until 2700 rpm. That's a 40lb-ft difference in low-end torque that now comes in earlier than stock, meaning you can still get improved low-end grunt, even if you stick with lower-tier fuel.
