This product is of good quality just like most things bearing the Roush name. Installation was a breeze and I believe it is far superior to the factory setup. Some say it is expensive, but that is for you to determine. I bought it, I like it, no regrets.

Well, twice the price, but a good investment. Looks great. More throttle response. Good quality, however it leaves the coolant hose hanging with no attachment. I made a short support off the intake hose to securely fasten the hose where the factory mount was located. I am challenging the use of the factory air intake box, still a restriction in air flow.

Easy install,and perfect fit. The only issue was with why the Roush decal was attached to the plastic bag and rendered useless and couldn't apply to the intake. Other than that great product.

Installation was very simple further I installed the tune from Ford Co. Gain Some horse power as well torque .Only issues I have, when open the box go through the stuffs . I found the ROUSH sticker been stick on of the bag unable to take it off. So Now I don't have no ROUSH sticker on Cold Air-box.

This intake seems to be built relatively well. The plastic welds used to secure the clear plastic window to the enclosure top were messy. There were many plastic melt threads hanging off the welds and sticking to the clear plastic window. It wasn't that difficult to remove them but still... sloppy for a CAI that costs $430. The lack of a mount for the coolant reservoir line was a design miss, not sure how this CAI was released without a mount? Anyhow, I used electrical tape to protect the line, and the hoses I secured it to with zip ties. I should not have had to do this and it makes the install look unprofessional. I might fabricate something in the future which looks more professional but I really shouldn't have to... Why I gave it 4 stars versus 3: It does improve throttle response as well as acceleration. I have the Ford Motorsports (Roush) tune installed and this CAI is the perfect compliment to it. I have a popup camper installed on my truck. I am close to the payload limit when the truck is fully loaded for a trip so need every bit of CARB legal power I can get out of the engine. This CAI and the FOMOCO/Roush tune seems to get me into normally aspirated V8 power territory so I'm happy with it.

Great product, perfect fit, easy installation. The Stage3 instructional video is clear and easy to follow and makes the install cake even for a total amateur driveway wrencher. The only reason i deducted a star is because there is a small hose that attaches to the factory airbox with a simple plastic clip, but the new kit has no accommodation for that hose whatsoever, leaving it just sort of flopping around after install. I have seen some others have come up with a few different DIY solutions - i simply zip tied it to the new intake snorkel (see pic). But this is an extrememly minor gripe, and if it weren't for the Roush kit being at the very top end of the price range for these CAI kits i wouldn't even mention it. But i love the performance (most important!) and would def rec to a friend.

Really easy install. Shout to Noah for the instal video. I have now BOUGHT all of my parts from Stage 3 and I can’t speak highly enough of the staff and the ease of purchase. With the addition of this CAI, I also have the ford performance tuner and awe exhaust. I can’t really tell a difference to be honest but oh well. It looks cool and the fact that I can clean and reuse it is a plus.

Very well built and does what it supposed to I really like the look and ease of install and it seems to be helping the airflow. Only thing I'm not happy about is the fact it was missing the logo and there isn't any paperwork or info to but extra filters

When you spend $400 on a cai for your truck it should come with all parts. Roush did send a kit out but still disappointed in unit being shipped without parts and no instructions.

Customer Question I just purchased this and there is about a 2 mm gap on bottom connection where the snorkel meets the top section of the box (bottom 2 bolts) Is this a manufacturer defect, air is escaping?

Customer Answer In general, you'll want to start by taking the filter out of the truck, blowing out any large debris with compressed air, then using warm water and light soap (Dawn or Simple Green) to clean the media, then let it air dry.

Customer Question How much will this help with fuel economy?

Customer Answer Likely not much at all. An intake alone may get you .5mpg if you drive like you're trying to get good fuel economy. In general, your much better bet would be aftermarket tuning if you want more noticeable gains in fuel economy. Even then, you still need to drive like you want good economy.

Customer Question How much of an improvement is this compared to the factory intake? The big new cylindrical filter in the Rousch assembly still can only suck in air from the opening at the front grille, through the factory size intake duct into the compartment holding the filter. Or am I missing something?

Customer Question Does this void vehicle warranty?

Customer Answer In general, a basic bolt-on like the Roush intake will not have an effect on your Ranger's powertrain warranty. That being said, all warranty decisions are up to individual Service Centers, and your best bet would be to talk to your service advisor about what kind of leeway they're willing to provide.

Customer Answer There's no reason why you can't use a cold air intake with the Ford Performance Tune, though it's tough to say exactly what you'll get out of it. You'll likely pick up at least some peak horsepower and torque.

Customer Answer There's no reason why it wouldn't. You'd just have to be a little careful during re-oiling in that you let the filter oil fully wick out and dry before running it in extremely cold climates.
