High-Performance AIRAID Cold Air Intake Kit

This intake bolts on quickly and easily using common tools and includes a SynthaMax Non-Oiled Filter made with individual layers of specialized filtration media that work together to filter out contaminants while still breathing in a larger volume of cooler charge air to your engine than stock to keep it running at its best. AIRAID's patented Roto-Molded Black Plastic Tubing replaces your factory stock unit and gives a much smoother channel (free of obstructions) for a greater amount of cooler charge air to to make it's way to your intake. In order to keep out the heat generated from your engine compartment and to ensure your intake is breathing in the coolest air possible, the walls of the heat shield create a protective box which seals with weatherstripping at the top when your hood is shut.

2011 Mustang 3.7 V6

I chose this because the manufacture assured me I would see the gains without a re-tune on stay with 87 octane. I was fairly quick before and noticeable quicker now. So far I still get the same outstanding fuel mileage as I had before. I have Magnaflows and the sound remains about the same except when I get on it and the growl factors goes up noticeably. Installation took about an hour and a half. Most of that went to wrestling a couple slip on parts into place. Stronger hands and a little more skill could do it in 30 minutes. It looks good and instructions where very clear and understandable. Better yet, it's made in USA and in my home state, Arizona.

What is the different between non-oiled and oiled air intake?

That's really the only difference. According to Airaid, both their oiled SynthaFlow filters and their dry SynthaMax filters have the same flow/filtration efficiencies. The only real difference is that one is oiled and one is dry. We generally recommend the dry filters, given that they're much easier to clean.

Any pros/cons between getting the oiled vs non oiled models?

According to Airaid, both the oiled and dry filters have the same flow efficiencies. The oiled filters arguably offer better filtration, but the dry filters are much easier to clean and reuse. It's really about personal preference. Personally, I'd choose the dry filter, because of the dust here in Arizona, we have to clean things fairly often.

Will this part void my warranty on my 2014 mustang v6?

In general, a very basic bolt-on performance part like this won't cause any warranty issues, much less cause your Mustang's overall Powertrain Warranty to be voided. Still, warranty decisions are up to each individual dealership and the safe bet is to talk to your service advisor directly and ask them about basic bolt-on performance parts.
