2014 Ford Explorer Sport 3.5Ltt
Feels like a strong increase in lower rpm throttle response and adds a nice growling sound to the intake whenever heavy on the throttle. I wasn't expecting as much improvement as it is providing. It's really packing a much nicer power-punch on excelleration too (any speed)! The engine intake cover had to be slightly modified to fit it back on.

2014 Exolorer Sport
Install a breeze. Just study how the original components come apart. Performance: immediate notice of improved throttle response. Later notice disappearance of black carbon deposits on exhaust tips (clean weekly). Can't comment on fuel economy but have to think it would improve.

2015 Ford Explorer Sport
Review is for product and also Stage 3. Both are incredibly awesome. Simplest mod, took 20 minutes. I'm not sure how much I gained but the low end acceleration is so much smoother. Feels like it actually has s little punch now. Stage 3 was great too! Price was the best, shipped it for free, and they didn't mess around with processing my order. Had it on my doorstep, cross country, the next day...a Saturday no less. Will always be looking to Stage 3 first for any future needs.

2018 Ford Explorer Sport
Professional design; very easy installation. I installed this along with a new CAI. Noticeable torque increase in Drive; very noticeable increase in Sport mode. Subtle 'wind' sound under the hood upon starting off the line, but only if you don't have the radio on. Really smoothed out acceleration and could feel a steady pull through all the gears.

This spacer made a huge pick up combined with the k&n intake. This is how the trucks should come from ford. It definitely gets rid of some of the lag of the line. It now performs like a sport model should. Totally worth the investment.

2018 Explorer Sport
Very easy install, Maybe 30 minutes tops. 8mm socket with small extender for the removal, 10mm for the re-install. I cant tell you the feel or MPG difference yet, but i will update after a week or so. Stage 1 mods complete. Injen Air intake, New thermostat, Throttle body spacer, Oil catch can. All from Stage 3, They are the best.

Very noticeable throttle response. If you benignly tapped your foot on your gas pedal to the beat of a song like I did on occasion before, you'll really feel the increased throttle response when your head simultaneously starts knocking off the head rest!

2018 Explorer Sport
Easy installation took me about 30 min. Low range ok. The midrange and high range excellent. I already have the high performance chip in and a K&N cold filter system. This spacer added a mid and high range advance I didn’t have. The low range is questionable I’m getting slow response time that I was not getting before hand. Maybe need the performance chip to gather information and do adjustments. However glad I put it in.

Customer Question Our 2017 Sport has an annoying issue and I'm wondering if anyone had the noticed the same, and whether this part cured it. During highway cruising 50-75mph roughly, when applying light throttle the engine feels like it is mis-firing. I called on some connections within Ford Powertrain and they told me there is no fix, just a characteristic of the engine. I'm wondering if getting a better air/fuel mix would help with combustion and solve the issue.

Customer Answer You may be getting spark blowout caused by plugs with too much gap, you may have a coilpack issue, or you may be ingesting fluid from the intercooler. I'd start with the spark plugs and make sure they're gapped to a maximum of .030" to .032".

Customer Answer As long as your Explorer is equipped with a 3.5L EcoBoost V6, this spacer will fit. aFe's throttle body space does not require tuning for proper operation.
