The big Ford 9.75" rear differential is definitely up to most tasks you put your F150 up to but isn't the prettiest thing in the world. Our friends over at aFe have a stylish solution to that fix that issue while improving differential function and strength for off-road use. This cover is made from ultra-strong die-cast aluminum and features functional cooling fins that lower temperatures to keep your rear differential functioning at it's best, even when towing and hauling all of your gear or blazing new trails off-road. The aFe F150 Rear Differential Cover comes loaded with tons of awesome features that will make maintenance easier while improving your truck's looks.

Fits Ford 9.75" Rear Ends And Makes Maintenance Easy

These covers were designed to fit Ford 12-bolt, 9.75" rear ends on Ford's F150 Ford trucks. aFe's Rear Differential Cover features a high-capacity, 5-quart design with internal and external cooling fins that keep your oil cooler even under extreme load. The Cover comes with a magnetic drain plug and an oil level sight glass so that you can easily check up on your differential oil as a way to keep your entire axle in tip-top shape. The diff cover comes with a slick black-machined look with the aFe logo emblazoned near the bottom for an aggressive, custom look.

Due to a recent design change, this differential cover no longer comes with a built-in seal, and requires gasket-making compound for installation.

Fitment: 1997-2022 Ford F150 -- all models with 12-bolt, 9.75" rear ends.

Matching Transmission Pan: aFe also makes a matching black-machined Transmission Pan that will add extra strength to your F150.

Swaybar Note: this differential cover will not clear the factory sway bars on SVT Lightnings or other aftermarket sway bars.

Will not fit PowerBoost: this differential cover will not fit 2021-2023 F150 PowerBoost models due to their frame bracing behind the differential.

What is the difference between the aFe differential cover and the covers from G2 and Mag-Hytec? The aFe is more expensive than the other two. Does it have greater oil capacity than the other two? (The owner's manual indicates stock oil capacity to be 5.5 pints.)

They each hold more or less the same amount of fluid. The real difference is that the aFe kit is slightly thicker, has much larger and a higher number of fins, and uses a sight glass level check, instead of a dipstick or plug.

This cover does not require a gasket or gasket maker for installation. The cover features a built-in seal that does not require an additional gasket.

I have a 2013 F150 4wd with a Rough Country 6" lift. The AFe instructions says if the truck as been modified or lifted you will have to establish the correct fluid level. How exactly is this done? Thanks for the help!

When you lift a truck, you can throw off your pinion or rear axle angle, which means the sight glass won't sit level and you may need slightly more or slightly less fluid than aFe recommends. Really, all they're saying is you should use the site glass as your guide and not a set amount of fluid.

I have a 2014 F150 3.5 E/B, supercrew with a 9.75 RE. Will this cover fit / work? What is the total fluid capacity? What's included with the cover, gasket, bolts, etc?

The cover will fit your truck. It has a 5-quart fluid capacity and comes with new bolts. Instead of a gasket, the cover has an o-ring that tucks into a groove built into the cover, which is included with the cover kit. For more details, you can check out aFe's Install Instructions.

Will the spare tire be OK with this cover?

As long as it's the factory spare and not an oversized spare, the differential cover will fit without issue.

On this page it says this rear diff will NOT fit 2015/16 F150s. But on some of these questions it says it does. I'm confused. I have 2015 F150 Ecoboost 3.31 electronic locking axle. L3. Mine has 12 bolts on the differential. So this would fit mine then? It says above the holes are bigger on 2015/16. That's why I'm confused.

Hi I have my first truck and it's a 2013 Ford F-150 fx4, it has a 3.5 eco boost engine, I don't know what kind or type of differential cover it has in term on number, I can provide my vin so you can help me figure out if this fit my truck, or do you know if this work for my truck?

If you have a 2013 F150 Fx4 with a 3.5L EcoBoost, then you have a 9.75" rear end, and this differential cover will fit your truck.
