This setup gives you adjustable front lift from stock up to about 1.75 inches using a snap ring system, so you can fine tune the height before installation based on how you want the truck to sit. It is a great way to take some of the rake out of the front end while still keeping things practical for daily use. More Control, Better Feel, and Real Off-Road Capability

2013 Ford F-150

I installed the 6112s and 5160s together. What a difference the ride is. Very complaint over rough pavement and gravel, washboard roads. Very comfortable ride on smooth paved streets. There is no jarring or wallowing ride, and there is no excessive body roll going into corners. I was planning on getting a set of Fox leveling coil over for the front, until I read how stiff they rode. I was concerned about the ride quality with the 6112s. After reading how stiff the ride was, until I learned that when installed if set at the highest ride height on the shock the spring was compressed making the ride stiff. I added a set of Rough Country strut spacers and set the snap ring at the second setting, or .6" of lift. It worked perfectly. The front end is firm with out being harsh. It soaks up large bumps without tossing everyone around in the truck. I cant say enough how smooth the ride is on the highway. Before when hitting expansion joints the truck would feel unsettled. It still feels soft, however, there is no extra movements the truck makes. It feels planted when entering a turn. I am extremely happy with the set up. One word of warning. I rented a set of spring compressor from O'Reilly's and stripped out the compressor. I ended up paying a local shop to disassemble and reassemble the struts. That is my only complaint. I really like how everything turned out. I ended up with 2.6" of lift in the front giving me a slight rearward rake. The front sits from the ground to the fender at 40.25" and the rear is at 40.15". You wont go wrong with these.

I have a set of pretty new Eibach 2" lift springs on my Bilstein 5100. I want to upgrade to the 6112s but I was wondering will the Eibach springs work? Also is the Eibach springs better than the spring that comes with the 6112 or pretty much equivalent springs? Thanks!

No, the Eibach springs will not work on the 6112 strut set unfortunately. The springs Bilstein includes with the 6112 kit have been developed to provide a better ride quality at the lift heights so I would not suggest attempting to use a different spring than the one included in the kit.

I have a 2013 ecoboost supercrew, any idea why the 6112 top notch setting is generally not recommended for my year and body style? Poorer Ride quality on the highest setting or possibly UCA issues? I would like to get as much lift out of the 6112 as possible and would like to pair with icon delta joint UCA’s or other aftermarket UCA’s if the only reason the top notch should be avoided is a conflict with the factory units.

Bilstein has always been pretty conservative when it comes to ride heights, but in theory, the higher you set ride height, the stiffer your ride height becomes, since the ride heights are based on spring preload. Frankly, as long as you're not above 2.5" of total front ride height, you should not have issues with UCA contact or angles. At worst, you try it, have issues, and then drop it down to the 1.75" ride height setting.

Will these work with the eibach pro lift springs?

We can't guarantee it. The issue is that the Eibach Springs are designed as stock replacements. Since the 6112s come with their own spring and their lower spring perch is different from a factory perch, the Eibach Pro Lift Springs may not work.

You might, but we haven't tried it ourselves. The stiffness would likely have less to do with the right height and more with the spring rate, which is tuned for the heavier 4WD trucks.

Unfortunately, Bilstein does not offer a RWD-specific version of this kit for the 2009-2012 F150s. That being said, you can install this 4WD-specific kit on your truck, you'll just get slightly more ride height out of it than what it's rated for on the 4WD F150s.

These look like shocks designed for a 2014 LCA not 09-13. There’s no eyelet on the bottom, but rather the bracket for ‘14. Are these for sure for 09-13?

This particular part number is for a 2009-2013 F150 with 4WD and will come with a single bushing for the standard clevis mounts on the 2009-2013 F150s. The version in the images has a bar-pin mount for the 2014-2018 F150s because we do not currently have a good image for the 2009-2013 specific 6112 part number.

The Bilstein 6112s do not necessarily require an aftermarket upper control arm. That being said, if you are planning on using your truck and these coilover assemblies off-road in a fairly aggressive fashion, you should probably look into getting a new UCA.
