The fitment was perfect. The sound is very nice under WOT but yet NO drone cruising at 70. I also love the use of the band clamps provided with the kit.

Very nice quality exhaust, was packed very well, no issues. Instructions were very clear, no problems with removal of old system.Take your time on the install, fiddle around carefully getting everything in place before tightening. Now, that is the one place where I think this kit could do better.....the band clamps. I was unable to tighten the tailpipe clamp enough to keep it from rotating, so I ended up replacing both band clamps with regular muffler clamps....not a big issue. When done, you will like the sound, and it has NO drone in cab. DEF pulls harder thru the gears, has a mellow rumble without being obnoxious. Next for me is a tuner!

Quality of the kit was excellent. Easiest exhaust kit to instal that I have done. Completed in under 90 mins. Drove my truck up on some high blocks, removed stock exhaust without cutting, and installed this kit. Best sound you will get out of an Ecoboost and the power gains a great. First thing I did was a nice burnout after installation.

Easy Installation after figuring the best way to install. Removing old system takes longer than Installing new one if you are working on the floor with just the rear axle on jack stands. Sounds GREAT! no drone or not too loud when cruising. When you open the throttle it comes to life. You can feel the Increase in Torque and HP. Quality of system and hardware appears to be premium. Only a few hand tools needed. Recommend lubing stock rubber hangers with grease or spray lube. Makes the installation Much Much Easier!

I bought the AFE Mach Force exhaust looking for performance and a little growl to the truck. I am happy with the product. It is built really well and sounds good. I did add a resonator to keep any drone noise under control. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to boost their Ecoboost. ~Casey

When I ordered this exhaust it was a Saturday night, and it showed up Thursday. On top of the fast shipping the exhaust was the most easiest things i have ever installed. The hardest part was getting the old exhaust off which all together took about 45 minutes so thats not bad at all. If you are looking for an exhaust that is loud but worried about disturbing your neighborhood this exhaust is honestly perfect. It has a low tone when you start it up which you can hear but it isn't extremely loud. However when you put the throttle down it roars like a sob, so you'll definitely be noticed. As far a performance goes, i honeslty think it added about 1.5 more to my mpg which is great. Not only that but you can actually feel the difference between the stock and this exhaust, the truck rides more smoothly between gear shifts and you can feel how much power it has with this exhaust. I would honestly buy this exhaust over just about any other exhaust. Between the performance, quality, sound, and installation this is now a no brainer. I'd buy this exhaust over again.

This exhaust is not too good to be true, it rocks. The price is right and performance is stellar. Great looking kit for the truck too, I get a lot of head turning from the look and sound. Super easy to install, and if you ever run into an issue call Stage3 and ask for Lou. There is no other place to buy performance parts, especially if you care about great customer service and guys who love to answer questions.

First things first, this exhaust is amazing. I love the sound. The harder you step on the gas pedal the louder it is. The 4 exhaust tip is beautiful and huge, as big as a diesel tip but I like that. As far as gas mileage goes I really cant say yet, it has not went down or up. You will find yourself getting on it more just to hear the awesome sound it makes. The shop installed it in a little over an hour and said it was the easiest aftermarket exhaust they have ever installed. One note to make is you loose the flex pipe part of the stock exhaust so only time will tell how it holds up going over bumps. No drone to speak of at 65 or 70 unless you are going up hills. You can definitely tell this exhaust adds horsepower, super fast taking off and really surprised me how much better the truck performs now. I highly recommend this exhaust, you wont be disappointed.

So after reading all the reviews about this exhaust system I decided to buy it. I am a novice and though I did enough research online but only after installing this system I found out more information. What is Drone? Trust me when I say this you cannot appreciate that sound on any online videos. The exhaust is music to my ears the way it sounds but when you are accelerating say 0 to 45 normally in the city the sound you hear inside the cabin will give you headaches. This sound was not there at highway speeds cruising. So I will have to give this system 4 stars only because many people mention minimal drone. I did get another FTE 30 inch resonator and muffler (another 130 dollars) installed in the place of the muffler that comes with this system and now it is amazing. I had this installed at a local shop and they said it was very easy to install and took about an hour so that is what they charged me for it. Any mechanic that says it takes more than that is not telling the truth and just overcharging you.

Great exhaust, Quick delivery. Nice sound but nothing crazy. Maybe helped the mpg just slightly. Took me about 3 hours to take old exhaust off and put this one on. It's well made, clamps are not so good as others have stated but was able to work with them. Wife has not complained yet when riding around with me, turn up the radio because it has a growl. Makes me feel at least 10 years younger riding around with this exhaust.

Install time was about 2 hours on a lift. The fit is sub par. The resonator delete pipe did not want to seal when the pipe was square to the frame. I had to rotate until it was not square to the frame and then it allowed it to seal when tightening the clamp down. The finish looks nice.Everything is polished stainless. The sound is horrible I want a return. This exhaust made my $50,000 truck sound like a $1500 1999 Grand Am with an exhaust leak. This exhaust sounds like complete crap! I ordered and installed these upgrades on my truck and was not really happy with the results. I loss 1.5-2.0mpg and noticed little less power from starting stop (0-45). I emailed tech support 2 days ago and ask if this was normal. I did not get a response so I decided to call in. Spoke with Mark and ask him if these results are expected. What he told me is that results could vary on these Ecoboosts but these upgrades doesn't necessarily mean an additional 32hp from the CAI and 32hp from the catback even though its in the descriptions. Descriptions is very misleading. The catback description By ditching your restrictive factory stock exhaust and replacing it with aFe's Cat-Back Exhaust, you'll see astonishing gains of 32 horsepower and 29lbs. x ft. torque. The CAI description The aFe Stage 2 cold air intake kit can add up to 32 horsepower and 35 lb-ft of torque onto your trucks output. CAN being the operative word for the CAI. Bottom line, he said you don't see these results unless you get the engine tuned. So now I have to buy a tuner for another $400+. Customer Question Will this fit the 2014 tremor?

Now when driving in the city anywhere from 20 to 40 mph and giving it gas there is much more than expected cabin noise? Is this what drone is? When cruising at a steady speed it sounds great. Answer provided by: Jason@Stage3 (7/25/2016)

Customer Question Hi, I purchased this system for my 2013 f150 limited ecoboost from you and went for inspection and the truck failed. The emission part failed due to the O2 and heated O2 Sensors not ready. I returned the tune back to stock and did many drive cycles and it's still not ready. Did you think the exhaust is causing the problem because the resonator was removed or maybe it may be something else. Have you heard of any issues from anyone about this exhaust? Any info would be helpful to resolve this matter. Thanks Dave.

Asked by: Dave - 2/11/2016
Customer Answer A cat-back kit will not cause you to fail inspection or cause O2 readiness issues, as they come after the sensors. However, aftermarket downpipes and tuning that shuts off the O2 sensors can absolutely cause those issues. If you don't have an aftermarket downpipe or tuning for one, you likely just have a bad oxygen sensor, which isn't totally unheard of, but fairly rare. Give us a call directly at 1-877-578-2433, if you need further troubleshooting.

Customer Question Is this the best exhaust sound for the 3.5 ecoboost ford 2012 ?

Asked by: Robert brest - 9/15/2015
Customer Answer "Best" is a subjective term, especially when it comes to exhaust kits and sound preferences. This kit does offer a good balance of price, quality, and sound; though it is a bit on the aggressive side of the spectrum with some amount of noticeable drone. Your best bet would be to give us a call directly at 1-877-578-2433 so we can get more specific with what sound you want for your truck.

Answer provided by: Jason@Stage3 (7/17/2015)

Customer Question I have a 2014 f-150 ecoboost and I was looking at the 3.5" and 4" AFE exhausts. Is it true that with the 4" exhaust you may not have enough back pressure and will potentially lose some low end torque, especially when towing? If that is not the case when added alone, could this potentially happen if you add in an exhaust, throttle body space, down pipes, and exhaust? I spoke to an AFE tech support representative and that is what he was explaining to me. I want to make sure that is the correct information. Thanks

Asked by: Texas210 - 6/26/2015
Customer Answer You can lose a noticeable amount of low-end torque with a 4" cat-back, though what you get in return is high-end horsepower. After adding on bolt-ons and custom tuning (especially custom tuning with downpipes), the effects are largely mitigated due to the overall increased power output the hardware and tuning can provide.

Customer Question I'm going back and forth between a 3in and a 4in exhaust system. Will I lose low end torque if I go with a 4in system like this one? What are the pros and cons of a 4in vs a 3in and vice versa?

Asked by: Sky - 5/21/2015
Customer Answer You can lose some low-end torque with a 4" kit, though its usually at the exchange of gaining some high-end horsepower. It's still a relatively minor change and tough to even measure from truck-to-truck. 4" kits do tend to have a little deeper of a sound than 3" kits though 3" kits tend stay less raspy, especially if you add downpipes later, but that can also vary pretty significantly brand-to-brand and between designs.

Asked by: Larry - 2/10/2015
Customer Answer Horsepower and torque gains with a cat-back system alone are pretty minimal on the EcoBoost F150s. You may see 5-10 peak power at the crank, but you're not going to notice a massive difference when driving around.

Customer Question I've been comparing the AFE to the heartthrob for sometime now and it's a tough decision. How do the 2 compare for power improvements? Also how do they compare for sound? Does the AFE have any drone, even at low speeds and rpm's?

Asked by: Derek - 10/24/2014
Customer Answer Any power difference between the two will be exceedingly minimal, to the point where it probably isn't even measurable. The Heart Throb kit is much quieter than the aFe and has a very mellow sound with practically no drone. The aFe kit is a bit more aggressive and has some very light drone at higher speeds, but nothing overly unbearable. Low speeds and idle, there's zilch.

Asked by: jessome/12-ecoboost - 4/28/2014
Customer Answer This cat-back (and any cat-back really), won't have much of an effect at all on fuel mileage on their own. If you are pressing a little harder on the pedal to hear the thing, then you will absolutely lose fuel economy, but the kit itself won't.

Asked by: Dave Mello - 4/16/2014
Customer Answer It has slightly more cabin noise than the Corsa, just because that this kit deletes the factory resonator while the Corsa preserves it. Still, it's definitely not overpowering by any means. To get a version with a black tip, just select "Black" from the "Tip Options" drop-down menu.
