The factory Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) System is your 2011 to 2014 F150's biggest weakness, because it allows a ton of oil blow-by that then coats your intercooler and intake valves in muck causing the infamous "EcoBoost Shudder" and increased valve coking down the way. To totally rectify the problem, your EcoBoost's PCV system needs a total overhaul, and our friends over at UPR have one of the best ways on the market with this awesome Dual-Valve Catch Can with a Clean Side Separator System. UPR's complete F150 EcoBoost catch can system captures oil PCV oil vapor originating from both the driver's side and passenger's side PCV lines from the truck's heads, capturing nearly all of the oil vapor that would've ended up in your EcoBoost F150's intake system, intercooler, manifold and valves. UPR's Dual-Valve Catch Can includes a complete billet catch can replete with OEM-style connectors and fittings, as well as a specialized Clean Side Separator (CSS) that pulls oil vapors out of the passenger side PCV system. The end result is an oil-free intake stream for improved performance and engine longevity in a high-quality, 100% complete catch can package.

High-Quality Billet Aluminum Construction with Highly Efficient Internal Design

The UPR Dual-Valve Catch Can combines a specialized three-stage internal design with high-quality construction materials to provide you and your EcoBoost F150 with one of the most effective and well-made catch can systems on the market. The can's dual inlet valves bring oil into the can which is then cooled, condensed, and finally collected in the can's large reservoir. A single outlet then allows the now clean PCV air to flow back into your intake system to preserve its original functionality without oil vapor ruining your day. The Dual-Valve can comes standard with a Clean Side Separator which installs right on top of the driver's side cylinder head and acts like a catch can within a catch can system to get the small amount of oil vapor out of the passenger's side PCV and into UPR's main catch can. This version of the Dual-Valve Catch Can mounts in side your truck's engine bay, which frees up room for aftermarket intercoolers or mounting positions for aftermarket lighting. The can itself and the clean side separator unit are manufactured out of high-quality 6061 billet aluminum and come standard with cut-to-length tubing, high-quality fittings, a mount, and OE-style quick-fit connectors for an easy installation. The can features a satin finish which can be upgraded to a polished finish from our drop-down menu above.

Took about hour to install had no instructions works well mounting bracket is poor mounts on fan shroud with one bolt and sags not very secure vibrates and can move and rubs on the shroud it is also over priced for what you are getting

2011 F-150 Platinum EB

The product appears to be made of good materials. I only had three issues. The website was vague about obvious differences in the two similar catch cans.I was meaning to buy the catch can that mounted behind the grill but by accident ordered the engine bay mounted catch can. It’s more my fault but the website did play a role in me getting a catch can that I didn’t really want, and for $400 I think it could be better. The second issue I had was with shipping. I was never sent an email with tracking information and after almost a week I got worried and called. It wasn’t that big of a deal but again for $400 I feel like it shouldn’t have been something for me to worry about. The last problem I encountered was with instructions or lack there of because there weren’t any. It’s a pretty straight forward install, but I had to watch the same video 10 times to make sure it was perfect. Then after a few hundred miles and not a drop in the can I got curious and called Stage 3 who then gave me the number to UPR. Turns out I had the one way valves On the clean side going the wrong way. It seems like a good product only time will tell.

2012 Ford F150

This is absolutely the best thing I have bought for my truck. Wish I would have bought it 57k miles ago when the truck was new. It's amazing what you drain out of that can. I have drained it twice since I installed it and each time it drained an ounce or so of crap out.

2014 F150 Ecoboost

Probably the best product you could put on a ecoboost motor, when you see how much crap this thing pulls out its a wonder why there not a stock item in all turbo charged vehicles.. Install really is maybe 10 mins max even if you don't know nothing about nothing. Lou at stage3 can help out with any issues you might have he has been top quality help for me.

Product is of the highest quality. Wish more companies would put the effort into making parts like this. One of the best parts to me is the houses and the factory style connectors. Of course the can is awesome but the connectors keep the engine bay looking sharp.

2012 f150 supercrew 4x

Put one of these on about 3 years ago and love it. Like others I wished I had done this when the truck was new. You would not believe the stuff that comes out of the drain, that was going to the inter cooler and intake. If I where you this would be my first upgrade on any new truck or car.

2013 ecoboost f150

I love the design and execution of the product. I had a little bit of trouble because it looked nothing like the picture whenever I was researching it but we found out that it is a updated better location for draining. It is definitely worth the money.

I bought this (well I think it's this one. I ordered one for a 2015 and ended up exchanging it for correct one. My account only show 1st incorrect order. No info on exchange) and installed it back in 2018 on customers 07/2013 F-150 FX4 Ecoboost 3.5L. . When truck comes back in my shop for service. We never get anything out of catch can. I have verified my install via ur tube videos & instructions probably 5-6 times. I've ask customer if she is draining it. She don't even know what or where it is... Lol... I'm getting absolutely nothing out of it. I see all these people on forms.. showing how much they get. Please tell me where I went wrong. I would be happy to send you a video of my install if need be. Thanks, Robert

The two things that you'll want to check are that the check valves are facing the right directions and that the plug-and-play connectors for the PCV ports are fully seated. That's generally the most common issues. Secondly, some trucks (for whatever reason), just don't produce a lot of blow-by, and in dry climates where there's not a ton of ambient humidity. Give those fixes a shot. If you're still having issues, shoot an email over to [email protected].

I live in Michigan and it gets well below freezing. Im interested in getting a catch can, but my only question is will anything that goes into the catch can freeze? So what im asking is should i go with the engine bay mounted one or the radiator mounted one?

The contents of the can and any fluid in the lines can freeze in extreme conditions, though it all does tend to thaw out fairly quickly. The engine bay mounted version would be less prone to it, but either way, you should probably have a frequent emptying interval during the winter months.

2012 F150 3.5 EcoBoost. I've seen some reviews about problems fitting the catch can in front of the radiator and being able to close the hood, but I also would like to be able to drain the contents easily. Which mount do I go with?

The standard radiator mount is much easier to drain. Usually, folks only have issues closing the hood if they've moved the can to accommodate larger intercoolers, water-meth tanks, or both. When installed in the standard position on the radiator support using UPR's instructions, you likely won't have an issue.

Oil blow-by does come from both heads, though the amount on the driver's side is significantly less than the passenger's side. Depending on what other measures you take, you can feasibly just use a single-valve catch-can option.
