The stock fog lights and their halogen reflector design is a pretty standard, ho-hum affair that does its job, but isn't all that impressive. Morimoto's XB LED Projector Fog Lights, on the other hand, give your 2015 to 2020 F150 or 2017 to 2022 Super Duty a tremendous level of light output and a hyper-aggressive look all in a drop-in package. Morimoto's XB LEDs drop right into place of your F150's or Super Duty's factory fog lights and together generate up to 2400 raw lumens of light that's harnessed by specially-designed projector lenses to give you and your F150 or Super Duty a crisp cutoff and clear beam path that greatly improves your F150's visibility at night and in inclement weather.

Durable and Reliable Construction with a Drop-In Installation

Each set of Morimoto XB LED Fog Lights is an easy drop-in replacement for stock that doesn't require any permanent modifications, drilling, or wiring. The Morimoto XB Fog Lights are built around a trio of Phillips Luxeon-T LEDs in each light with a 5500K color temperature that produce 1200 raw lumens of light per side. All of that light is harnessed by Morimoto's Kuria Projector Optics into a crisp and clear beam with a definitive cutoff that makes your truck's fog lights much more effective than stock. Perfect fit and really high quality. The black housing matches great to my sport edition black headlights and the light quality and pattern provide tons of crisp white light. They took maybe half hour to install and a few good videos online to help with questions.

Install was easy, stage 3 was great to work with. The light output is horribly low.... pointless to have them IMO. Rating is based of the light out as it was a waste of money as far as that goes.

2016 F-150 Platinum

These are ok, but would not buy them again. Install is NOT as easy as the video portrays. OEM lights were a bear to remove. Morimoto lights are NOT plug & play. You have to install the wires into the female wire housing and they do not fit correctly or easily. It was difficult to get them wired. .... not a "quality" product or worth $200. Recommend you consider replacement bulbs and using your oem housing.

The two main reasons I like these lights is that they look oem and go great with the Anzo headlights. The light output is just enough that it doesn't blind on coming traffic and have a very nice cutoff.

Install was a breeze. Maybe 30 minutes max. Apprearance wise they look great but out put/performance is not worth the $200. Definitely a 6500K color comparison.

2018 F150

The fog light swap is pretty straight forward. Removing the factory fog lights was somewhat difficult, but still doable with minimal tools and a little improvising (if you don't have a thin enough pry tool). It was foggy the very night I installed these lights so I took them out for a test. I was extremely underwhelmed with how bright they were. I love the way the beam pattern has that top cutoff line, but they just need to be brighter to have any real effect. I have had these now for 3 months and I wish I bought something that was brighter. That being said, they are much nicer and they are brighter than the factory fog lights on the 2018 F150 XLT. If you're only reason for buying these is for the look, then you will be pleased with these. If you are looking for something that has a practical use, unfortunately these are not what you want. For the record, I wanted to like these lights and still want to like them, but at the end of the day they just aren't bright enough. Note: I do not have the yellow film on them and they are aimed properly.

Installation was much easier than I anticipated. A couple posts had me worried. Long skinny flathead and the old fog lights pop right out. Took less then an hour taking my time. Awesome lights, nice clean cutoff and great match to OEM LED headlights. More functional than the stock halogens. I have no regrets...worth every penny.

Excellent and quick upgrade

The Morimoto lights were an excellent upgrade. The spread and brightness are much greater than the OEM fog lights. Their dark appearance when switched off complements the ANZO black headlights and the Magnetic color of my truck. Installation was fairly simple. Be sure to pull out the bulb and remove the adjusting screw from the back before popping out the stock lights (which I did sliding plastic trim removal tools down both sides). I only use my fog lights when there is actual fog. I anticipate they'll work very well based on the cutoff and spread, but haven't had an opportunity to confirm yet. I'll update my rating if I'm mistaken about my expectations. Overall, I highly recommend the Morimoto fog lights.

These things are great and really are better than stock fogs, it projects a nice clean bright cut off line. These took me about 30 to 45 minutes to put in. I used a flathead driver to pop them out the front. They go really well with the anzo switch back headlights or ford oem LED lights too.

These took no time to install like 15 minutes, just got to make sure you check the wires before you insert them into the harness clip, light output is great compared to the sad factory halogens. I wished they would sell ones that have a yellow led light since these don't match my 6500k HID Headlights, but thats ok these look great.

Great upgrade over stock. The stock halogen fogs are basically worthless, these are along the lines of what should ship stock on the vehicle. Great match in light output and color temp to my stock headlights. Light output is excellent. Don't listen to the reviewers who say it's not enough, it's a huge difference over stock. Easy to install, and I finally have usable fogs.

Fog lamps were awkward to install due to the tight fit. Not hard just awkward. Once in they look great. Following the install video helped out alot and answered the question of which wire goes in which push in slot for the connectors. The pattern of the light is excellent. Very pleased.

Received order quickly, but was missing the plastic connectors for the wires. I called and explained to 2 different people. A week later I received ONE connector. Instead of calling I replied to the email sent, letting me know my connector(s) were on the way. Had to wait another week for the second one. After 3 weeks of looking at the lights I was able to install--Lights are good replacement for the off yellow fog lights, compared to the LED headlights. Not sure where the quality control failed for the connectors not in the box.

Just an note on the Morimoto LED fog lights. Install time approximately 45 minutes. Wish I would have found these sooner. I drive to West Texas for work (806 miles) and when working days, I dry it at night. The factory fog lights in no way compare to these LED replacement lights. Much brighter on the road, not up in the air in oncoming traffic eyes. Clean, crisp and match the Factory LED lights. Would definitely recommend

These lights work very well and they add to my blacked out front end. Just as a reminder they must be aimed correctly it in order to be more efficient. They really light up the road in front of the garage and add to the MoriMoto XB headlight package.

Really happy with these fog lights. Installation was a cinch - really nice beam pattern and great look. The light ads a great wide beam pattern that is uniform and adds to visibility significantly when driving in snow. I added a yellow Lamin-X film which also was incredibly easy. I recommend testing polarity before clipping the wire prongs into the housing, and mark the wall in front of your truck with some masking tape at your stock beam height so you can appropriately adjust after installation as well. I wish they'd come with screw inserts for the adjustment screw so I didn't have to transfer the ones off the stock units, however those were pretty quick and easy to pop out - was just afraid I'd break one. Definitely recommend these as a replacement and big upgrade to look and usefulness of your fogs!

I find I'm a bit torn with these. Last night after installing them under my stock halogens I was pretty pleased seeing them as a good upgrade from the stock fogs. Quality seems top notch but the need to place the clip for the plug together seemed unneeded given the price. I've had a heck of a time keeping the left from popping out and can't seem to get the prongs to seat properly. Something I can fix, but came off like something I would see with a cheaper set. After installing the Morimoto Hybrid Headlights to complete the set, I'd say these don't add too much additional light. They look great and did make a huge difference from stock, I just don't know that they are needed now that I have a proper headlight. I can justify them seeing the impact they made with my halogens but if I had braved the 20 degrees and installed both the same day I think I would have been a bit disappointed.

Removal of OEM factory housing fog light was moderate. Youtube how to do as the attachment points are very tight in the removal process(25 minutes). Install was super easy just be sure to check that the correct housing goes into the correct side. These LED fog lights are extremely bright and you will be happy. Color is closer to a 6000k than the advertised 5500k.

Will these mount in an aftermarket tube bumper (N-Fab MRDS)?

They will not. These fog lights reuse the stock fog light buckets for mounting, and they can't really be mounted on their own on an aftermarket bumper without modifications.

The fog lights reuse the stock adjustment screw, allowing for some up and down aiming, though with a proper install, not much adjustment should be needed.

The bulb output does not match my putco silver lux pro LED bulbs 6500K. What bulb type should I purchase to replace the bulb in these fog lights?

These LED fog lights do not use a traditional bulb that can be replaced. Their LED is built into the integrated LED board, and there is no way to replace it in the same manner as a traditional fog light bulb.

Unfortunately, Morimoto does not offer these fog lights with yellow or amber LEDs. However, Morimoto does offer these fog lights with yellow LaminX film as an add-on option.

Can you purchase replacement LED’s if they go out?

These lights don't use a traditional bulb. The LEDs are in a board that's built into the light assembly itself, and aren't user-replaceable.

The pictures of the lights shows that the connectors are not attached. Are they attached when you buy them or are they not included?

These fog lights come with pins as part of the harness and a connector assembly, but they will not be pre-assembled. The issue is that Ford (for whatever reason) does not have consistent pinning for the polarities of the stock fogs, which means Morimoto can't provide a preassembled connector.
