If you don't want to deal with oiled filters or risk ruining your truck's MAF sensors by over-oiling, then this version of aFe's Stage 2 EcoBoost F150 cold air intake kit is for you. This powerful intake system uses two aFe Pro Dry S conical air filters, improved inlet tubing, and high-quality hardware to give your truck improved throttle response and power by providing your truck's turbochargers with a larger volume of cooler charge air than stock. This 100% complete cold air intake kit outflows your stock system by up to 44% and lets your turbochargers breathe far more efficiently.

Quality Hardware with Easy Install

The kit easily installs using your F150 EcoBoost's lower air box housing and aFe's unique heat shield mount that keeps the dual Pro Dry S 360 degree filters safe from engine heat-soak. Both of these filters feed into a pair of equal-length inlet tubes that are far more efficient than your factory tubes and help bring a larger volume of air to your truck's turbochargers. aFe includes a full set of gear that makes this Stage 2 cold air intake system a breeze to install. Each kit comes with clamps, couplers, hardware, and detailed instructions. The Pro Dry S filters are reusable and only need to be cleaned as part of a standard maintenance cycle.

2011 Ford F-150 ecoboost

Noticeable difference in horsepower and nothing like the sound of whistling turbos. Easy do it yourself install, completed in 15-20 min. Highly recommend.

2011 Ford F-150 EcoBoost 4x4

Great part, the workmanship is awesome. It is not a cheap universal part. It is well thought out. Everything from the fittings to filter to pipe is excellent quality. Definitely is more responsive after installation. It does sound good, you hear all turbo and it breathing freely. The sound is by NO means obnoxious. Unless you are on the throttle, you can barely tell a difference. As I get older, my goal is to get some performance and add just a little bit of good sound. I feel absolutely no reason to need the cover and I personally feel the reviews of it being too loud are misplaced. I would buy again.

2011 Eco-Boost F-150 Lariat 4x4

Instalation was easy and the unit fit was excellent. Instructions were one point. I didnt have any problems with the instalation. The intake alows you to hear the turbos sucking in the air and you can hear the BOV's. WARNING! This item will make you want to install the TurboSmart BOV's. I didnt notice any power gains...I kinda think that I lost some. I also added the HeartThrob 4 exhaust right after I installed the air intake. I dont know if I needed to have my custon tune(Perf.91) rewritten. But I upgrade to the Perf.93 tune, and got all the power back and then some! The factory air box is designed very well and doesnt really need this upgrade. I wanted to hear the turbo action.

2012 F150 Lariat

Shipped the same day arrived on time. quick install took about 20 min. Took it for a spin had a quick response when i stepped on the pedal. Didn't hear any extra noise coming from the filter dispite what i read on other reviews. AWESOME... Next step the tuner

2011 F150 EcoBoost FX4

2011 F150 FX4 ecoboost. Install time 30 minutes. Makes incredible sound. Can completely hear the increased airflow getting to the turbos with an interesting turbo spool sound.

2011 F-150 XLT Ecoboost

I love it. Adds noticeable power. Turbos sound cool with this intake. Looks mean under the hood too. Install took about 20-25 minutes with basic hand tools. Great service from Stage 3 also, showed up faster than expected. Very happy all around

On my 2011 EB, I am running a DiabloSport 93 octane tune, with no bolt on, other than BOV's. Will adding the aFe Stage 2 CAI give me much of performance boost over just running with the tune?

Not a ton. You may gain 5-10 horsepower with similar torque, though throttle response will be improved to some extent.

How do i choose which intake to get? Do i go Dry or Oiled and why?

It's really just a matter of preference. According to aFe, the oiled filters flow air a bit more efficiently and make slightly more power, but the dry filters are much easier to clean and maintenance. If you live in fairly dusty areas or places that require frequent filter changes, then the dry filters are probably your best bet. If you live in more temperate areas, then the oiled filters can be a good idea.

How many layers of protection does this filter offer vs a stock filter?

I honestly couldn't tell you how many layers the Motorcraft filters have. However, Ford quotes that they have a 98.5% filtration efficiency, while the aFe Pro Dry S is quoted at 99.2%.

As much as I like and appreciate our friends over at aFe, I have no idea where they got those numbers. In our testing we found that alone, the intake won't get you all that much. You'll see a slight gain in power, throttle response, and fuel economy. With tuning (especially custom tuning), you'll see much better gains that are on par or exceed aFe's numbers.

We'll take back the intake if there's a fitment or workmanship issue under warranty with aFe. All other returns will fall under our Return Policy.
