The aFe Rapid Induction Cold Air Intake System features a Pro Dry S 7" conical Filter consisting of three layers of oil-free synthetic media and requires no oil during maintenance to provide maximum convenience, this specialized filter is layered to filter out contaminants while breathing in a larger volume of cold air straight to your engine. The innovative layering provides great filtration efficiency and dust holding capacity and is best suited for street and light off-road use.
Pro DRY S filters are easily recharged with aFe's POWER CLEANER.
Top Mounted Heat Shield Design and Dyno-Tuned Intake Tube
The solid 18 gauge steel wrinkle-black powder-coated heat shield will snap to the top of the lower half of the factory airbox making this a hassle-free install when utilizing factory mounting locations. The computer-designed dyno-tuned intake tube achieves maximum power gains while maintaining an exact fit. The high-quality XLPE material is heat soak resistant and extremely durable.
This cold air intake system replaces the factory upper intake box, and all hardware and components are included for a hassle-free installation. This kit utilizes high-quality stainless steel clamps and a silicone coupler.

I debated on which intake to get for months, finally picked up the AFE Pro Dry S. Everyone told me about AFE’s quality and I have to say it’s amazing! After the intake install, I can finally hear turbo noises. No need to a loud BOV as I can hear it just fine. The power gains are good for the Colorado elevation. Really helped with the MPG and power. My complaints. It’s not a full intake system. There’s the plastic still connected to the turbo and there’s not a cover that comes with the system for the filter housing. By the time you purchase the additional scoop and filter cover, you might as well have bought another complete intake. Recommended if you’re just looking for straight power. If you plan to hit some backroads, maybe save up for something different.

The intake has an pen top, though it does come with a seal for keeping it semi-enclosed against the hood liner.
