That's why our friends over at Magnaflow Exhaust have come up with this 48-State Legal Passenger's Side Catalytic Converter Assembly. This OE-replacement converter kit comes with an EPA-approved, 48-state legal catalytic converter that's pre-installed in a complete tubing assembly that includes a flange for your truck's factory manifolds, oxygen sensor bungs in the OEM locations, and an outlet tube that hooks up perfectly with the rest of your truck's Y-pipe assembly. The Magnaflow Direct Fit Catalytic Converter Assembly is an excellent way to get your truck back on the road and passing emissions in 48 States without breaking your bank.

2.5" Diameter, 409 Stainless Steel System with 48-State Legal Catalytic Converter

As their name implies, the Magnaflow Direct-Fit Federal Catalytic Converter Assembly drops right into place of your F150 5.0L's stock passenger's side catalytic converter piping, and requires no other modifications. Both the upstream and downstream oxygen sensor bungs are in the stock locations, allowing you to reuse the factory O2 sensors without the need for extensions or wiring. The Direct Fit Assembly uses 2.5" diameter tubing that matches the stock Y-pipe diameter to maintain factory performance and flow. The catalytic converter used in the Direct Fit System is a 48-State Legal, EPA-Approved cat that doesn't require tuning and will eliminate CELs and engine codes caused by clogged or failing stock catalytic converters. The entire system is made out of 409 stainless steel that can resist corrosion and discoloration in most climates and applications.

Passenger's Side Only: this Direct Fit Assembly only includes the Passenger's Side converter and piping. A version for the driver's side is also available.

48-State Legal: this converter assembly is 48-State Legal and is EPA Certified for use on public roads. However, this converter assembly is not CARB-Approved and is not legal for street use in California, New York, or other areas that have adopted CARB emissions requirements.

great fit, decent shipping times, no check engine lights, used with new oem o2 sensors. my only complaint is one of the o2 bungs was giving me issues and needed to be chased because of weld spatter. overall good quality and fit like oem.

2013 F150

Fit and finish top notch. Cat significantly smaller than factory. Diagnostic run due to problem on driver side showed this side barely got it done (see review for driver side version of this).

Is this EPA approved for California?

It is not. This particular kit has a Magnaflow "Federal" series catalytic converter that's not CARB-approved. Magnaflow does have CARB-approved converters for the 2011-2014 F150 5.0Ls. Give us a call directly at 623-434-5277 or email us at [email protected].

Will this be compatible with a 2011-2014 F150 Roush Side-Exit Cat-Back? How about headers? Will I need OEM headers or is there an aftermarket headers that will be compatible with it?

This assembly will fit with any cat-back that bolts on to the stock Y-pipe, including the Roush Side-Exit system. This assembly will fit with the stock exhaust manifolds and aftermarket shorty headers. Long tube headers will not work with this part number.
