Easy to Install

This aFe kit replaces your factory air box and disposable filter with one of their large, and highly efficient Pro 5R Oiled Air Filters. This 5-1/2" diameter filter comes oiled and can be washed, re-oiled, and reused. The filter leads into a specially-designed aFe aluminum air intake tube that features an aggressive black powder-coat finish that resists heat and corrosion. aFe's kit installs easily using the supplied hardware and detailed instructions.

Gave my truck a very noticeable throttle response, nice aggressive sound, and increased the fuel mileage just a bit. Overall great product on top of great customer service!!!

2013 Ford F-150 5.0

Just added this to my 5.0 SuperCrew and the throttle response is amazing now and the sound is pretty sweet when you hit the gas nice growl to the beast!

2013 F150 XLT

Just installed the intake system, was pretty strait forward, Directions could be a little bit better, and the hoses supplied are good but the PVC hose I wished was formed as in bent to fit, I used a metal elbow to make a nice bend, also I added clamps to these hoses, maybe not needed but thats just me. No the sound is impressive and you can feel it when your full throttle in the floor of the truck. If you don't want a loud sound I would advise a different kit. Over all I love it! Tonight I'm installing the Solo Mach-x exhaust Excited!

What's the biggest difference between the AFE stage 2 CAI and the S&B CAI?

They're functionally similar, though there are some differences in overall design. The aFe Kit has an open-element filter, while the S&B uses an enclosed air box. The S&B Intake Kit uses plastic inlet tubing, while the aFe Kit uses aluminum. S&B's filter is made using a silicone base and cap, while aFe's filter has standard polyurethane.

I'm looking at the AFE Stage 2 Cold Air Intake for my 2014 F150 (5.0L with Magnaflow dual exhaust). The reason I was looking at this over other cold air intakes is they make an air intake cover for it which from what I am reading will quiet it. I had a Roush cold air intake on my 2004 F150 and it was very loud inside the cabin when I stepped on the gas. I want the performance but not the noise. My question is if I were to get this AFE set up with the air intake cover, how much different over stock is this set up? It seems if I put the cover on it's just like going back to stock. Thank you.

You'll still see an airflow increase over stock, though you won't see the same amount of responsiveness if you didn't install the lid. If you want an alternative that has fairly quiet operation, then take a look at S&B's Cold Air Intake Kit, which has a full air box assembly, but also comes with a larger duct for the lower half of the OEM air box.

is this the same intake that works with the boss 302 manifold? I have the manifold just need the intake.

This intake will not fit with the BOSS 302 Manifold. The intake included from 5-Star is from aFe, but it's a heavily modified and customized to specifically fit F150s with the Boss Manifold installed. Your best bet would be to call us directly at 1-877-578-2433 to find a solution.

The cold air intake for ford f150 shows 11-14 on the website but when my package arrived it said 11-12. Will it still be fine in my '13 f150?

Yup. It will fit just fine. There were no changes made in the intake of the 5.0L trucks between model years..

I was told when you install a cold air intake on the 5.0 they get to much air and it makes the sensor turn on fail safe mode, so does this aFe intake require a turner??

That's not entirely correct, and this particular intake will not require a tune. In fact, all of the cold air intake kits for the 5.0L F150s we carry don't require tuning. Only a few intakes for the 5.0L Mustangs require tuning to prevent lean codes and failsafe mode.

Part of the issue is that aFe won't come right and confirm because they personally haven't put one on a 2014 model as of yet. However, there weren't any changes from 2013 to 2014, so this intake will fit your truck.
