Our friends over at aFe can help you out with their Stage 2 Magnum FORCE Cold Air Intake. This complete cold air intake system replaces your big, bad F250 or F350 Super Duty's stock air box, disposable paper air filter, and inlet tubing with much more efficient hardware that can get your truck some nice power and performance gains, as well as improved fuel economy all in one basic, drop-in cold air intake system. The intake can add as much as 15 horsepower and 20lb-ft of torque to your gas-powered F250 or F350's power levels, making it easier for your aggressive truck build to tow, haul, work, and play all in one complete intake system from aFe.

100% Complete Cold Air Intake System

aFe designed each of this kit's components to improve airflow efficiency over stock and get your hyper-aggressive truck build more horsepower, more torque, improved throttle response, and better fuel economy. This kit is built around one of aFe's Pro 5R oiled filters that uses five layers of oiled filtration media to improve flow while capturing more particulates than stock. The filter can even be washed and reused for the life of your truck. The filter comes with a complete heat shield mounting assembly that helps reduce filter heat soak and installs onto the bottom half of your air box. The kit comes with a complete inlet tube assembly that goes from the filter all the way to your truck's throttle body for greatly improved airflow. Each kit comes with a full set of silicone couplers, clamps, hardware, and detailed instructions.

Do I need to run higher octane fuel in my 2016 F350 with the 6.2 to get the 15 hp and 20 lb ft of torque? In other words am I going to have to run premium all the time?

To get close to aFe's quoted numbers, you'll likely have to use 91 octane fuel, though you probably still won't hit those exact numbers since aFe does their dynos in a very controlled environment. If you don't want to run 91 octane or higher, you should still see some gains with 87 or 89 octane.

Is this setup carb/emission legal in CA? Does it have the air sensor plug in?

This intake is only CARB-Approved on 2011-2014 F250 & F350 models under EO# D-550-15. The kit does have a MAF sensor plug.

To a very slight degree, assuming you're actually driving conservatively to get good fuel economy in the first place.
