The stock intake system of your 2012 to 2019 Explorer Sport's 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine works, but you can get some more power and torque out of your mighty EcoBoost engine by swapping it out with this Magnum FORCE Stage 2 intake kit from aFe. aFe's intake outflows the stock air box by up to 35%, and can get your EcoBoost-powered Explorer Sport more horsepower and more torque, all while improving fuel economy and throttle response over the stock air box, disposable paper filter, and factory inlet tubing. Each one of these kits includes a new filter, heat shield, and inlet tubing that flow air much more efficiently than stock. The aFe kit comes with everything you need to give your Explorer's intake system a nice overhaul and improving your engine's overall performance in a complete intake package that drops right into place of stock for no-hassle power and performance gains.

Each one of these Magnum FORCE Stage 2 cold air intake kits comes with all the high-quality and carefully-designed parts and components you need to squeeze out some more performance from your EcoBoost Explorer. aFe's intake is designed around one of their Pro 5R air filters that features washable oiled media and greatly outflows the stock disposable paper filter. The filter comes mounted in a full heat shield assembly with weatherstripping along its top for a clean seal against your Explorer's hood. The filter brings air into a full inlet tube assembly made from 3" diameter, mandrel-bent aluminum with a black wrinkle powder coat finish that leads all the way to your Explorer's throttle body. The system also comes with all the installation hardware and instructions you need to get the kit onto your Explorer and running at its best.

Are there parts I can order to extend the pipe to the engine using a longer rubber connector? My truck has a slightly bigger gap than the picture shows and will not connect without a different extension. Can this be done, or do I have to get that part in an auto parts store? or is this not a good fit?
