Features Dual Filters, Heat Shield, Inlet Tubing, and Hardware

Each Magnum Force Stage 2 Cold Air Intake was designed from the ground up to maximize airflow and give your truck excellent performance for years to come. Each intake is built around a pair of aFe Pro 5R conical air filters that use an oiled, cotton-based filtration media to capture more particulates while improving airflow over stock. The filters are housed in a heat shield assembly with an upper seal that helps prevent heat soak while still allowing maximum airflow. The filters bring their air into two separate inlet tubes that feature much smoother bends than stock and are each made out out of powder coated aluminum. The Magnum Force Stage 2 Intakes each come with new couplers, band clamps, and instructions.

2017 3.5L EB F150

I originally ordered this kit with the dry filters but that wound up being back ordered so I changed to this oiled filter application. The system showed up but was short 1 of the filters. After reaching out to customer service I was asked to provide images on contents on kit and then a week later a replacement filter was sent direct from AFE. The kit does look slightly different than what is pictured - there is no balance tube that runs from the underside as displayed, rather there are two bosses on each tube that are married together with a piece of rubber hose and two clamps. Install was a bit tricky and fitment was not the best, I did spend some time adjusting and had to cut down the rubber hose between the tubes as it was too long and spreading the tubes too far apart. I have still not been able to get the filter for the driver's side intake to sit flush against the housing after repeated adjustment and there is nothing to keep the filter itself flush against the housing either (this is not a huge issue just something I noticed when installing). I did get a crankcase ventilation CEL the day after the install, even with the miter cut tube installed in the driver's side intake as per instructions. I was able to remove the CEL with Forscan and it has not since come back. There is definitely an audible difference in intake noise that is noticeable with the windows down, but I hardly notice anything in the cab with the windows up. There is little if any change in turbo noise. It is nice to hear the truck a bit more since the factory sends them out whisper quiet. Ford has a pretty good CAI from the factory, so my reason for purchasing was more so for aesthetic and sound purposes. Install was on a 2017 3.5L Ecoboost F150.

2019 Ford F-150

The fitment was not good. It was a struggle to get the proper fit including having to make a couple of modifications. Once I finished installing the unit I still felt like some of the pieces were in a slight bind. At this price point I expected a more precise fit

According to aFe this works on all versions of the 17-20 F150 3.5L ecoboost including the high output in the Raptor and Limited models.

Will this intake fit on a 2017 Ford Expedition?

Unfortunately, it will not. aFe states this intake only fits 2018-2020 Expedition models, and they do not have an equivalent for the 2017 Expeditions as of yet.

What’s the difference between this intake the the xp pro?

The XP Series has an H-pipe balance tube that spans between the two inlet tubes, which theoretically improves its efficiency over the ST series. That being said, how much of a difference that makes out in the real world is probably negligible.
