Our friends over at Rough Country have an excellent way to make it all happen with this awesome 4" Suspension Lift Kit for the 2011-2014 F150s with 4WD. Each one of these kits adds up to 4" of ride height to your truck and allows you to fit on 35x12.50" tires when using at least 18" wheels with 4.50" of backspace. The Rough Country 4" Lift Kit comes with a full set of front and rear lift hardware that work together to give your truck an aggressive new stance, improved ground clearance, and one of the best looks that you'll find on the street or the trail.

Features Strut Spacers and Crossmembers with Differential Skid Plate

Each one of Rough Country's 2011-2014 F150 4" Lift Kits features strong lift components and high-quality hardware. The front ride height increase is provided by a pair of front strut spacers that install right on top of your factory struts and bolt into your F150's body mount. The strut spacers are paired with lifted knuckles with long spindles that keep your F150's factory upper control arms near OEM angles and specs. The front end lift components also include a front and rear crossmember and differential drop brackets that adjust your F150's lower control arm angles and CV angles back to OEM specs to prevent wear, keep near-OEM ride quality, and to maintain proper travel. The front lift components come with all the hardware you need to get them installed on your aggressive F150 build.

Fabricated Rear Blocks with N3 Rear Shocks

For the rear of your truck, Rough Country uses pair of specially-designed rear blocks to add ride height, and they come with a full set of installation and supporting hardware to give your 2011-2014 F150 a great ride. Each of the rear blocks are fabricated, instead of cast, and feature an anti-wrap design that helps prevent axle wrap in extreme applications or on F150's churning out more power than stock. The blocks come with longer U-bolts and install right in place of stock in a very simple, drop-in installation. Each kit comes with a pair of Rough Country's N3 rear shocks that feature a nitrogen gas-charged design with velocity-sensitive valving that gives them an excellent ride and handling in a wide variety of applications.

Fitment: 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 F150 4WD

Wheel Fitment: this kit requires at least 18" wheels with 4.50" of backspace to clear a 12.50" wide tire.

Stock 18" Wheel Note: stock 18" wheels can be used with this kit, but are limited to a maximum of an 11" wide tire.

Will I be able to use the Bilstein 5100's in the rear with this kit? I thought they would work because the rear is only being lifted 2" unless I am misunderstanding the size of the rear block. Secondly I think I will be using a 2" leaf helper spring instead of the block anyway if that would change anything. I guess while I'm here, do you see any issue with using the 5100 up front with a 2" spacer instead of the 4" and, how would that affect ride quality?

The standard Bilstein 5100 rear shocks meant for stock trucks are only rated for up to 1" of additional ride height over stock, and will not handle 2" of rear lift provided by this kit. Bilstein does have 5100s for 3-4" of lift, which would be your much better bet.

Will this kit work with 17"x8.5" Method Standards (0mm OS 4.75 BS) and 315/70/17s, I am currently running Halo lifts set @ 2.5" upfront with some trimming, and Icon UCAs, and AALs+factory block in the rear. The rear is perfect as it sits but the front is a little low. I am trying to level it off.

Unfortunately, this kit is not guaranteed to clear 17" wheels at all, regardless of offset, due to the design of the knuckles.

Will this kit work with a stage 2 Icon lift along with '17 Ford Raptor wheels with a 1.5" wheel spacer?s

It will not. You could potentially reuse the ICON 2.5 coilovers, however, you'd need to reduce their ride height to a 0" factory ride height then reuse the Rough Country Kit's front strut spacer. You will not be able to reuse the ICON rear shocks, since the Rough Country kit has too much rear lift.

Rough Country can't guarantee the fitment of 17" diameter wheels at all due to this kit's knuckle design.

2013 F150 Platinum 4x4 currently running a FabTech 6" lift with 35x12.50x20 on 20x9 with 5" backspacing. Trying to remove the lift but as everyone knows my cross member is gone. Looking to drop down to the 4" kit and want to go back to stock Platinum 20" wheel and run a 33" tire. My front wheel well has already been trimmed from the installation of the 6" lift. Will this setup work for what I am trying to do? Or should I look at another application (Rancho)?

You likely will not be able to use a lift kit from a different manufacturer. Different lift kit manufacturers have different ways they cut up the subframe in order to fit their particular crossmembers. Your only real course of action would be to use a Fabtech 4" lift, though you'd likely only need a portion of its components to get down to 4". Your best bet would be to call us directly at 623-434-5277 so we can see what specific parts you would need.

Does this lift require cutting or does it bolt on without cutting or grinding? Interested for my 2012 FX4 5.0 Supercrew and also will my factory 18s fit?

This lift kit does require subframe cutting and drilling for installation, as does essentially all true 4" and 6" suspension lift kits for the 2009-2014 F150s. If you want to avoid slicing up your truck, your best bet is to go with a 3" capable coilover and either a larger rear block or add-a-leaf kit for the rear.

I have the 4" rough country lift on my 2014 F150. I'd like to run the stock raptor wheels and tires with this lift. Do you know if this is possible and if not what would be needed to make these wheels and tires fit?

You would not be able to clear Raptor 17" wheels and stock Raptor tires with this lift kit installed. The tires are too wide for the amount of backspace that the wheels have. Secondly, this lift kit is specifically meant for 2011-2013 F150s. The version for 2014 F150s is right here.

I am looking to get this lift for my 2011 F150 FX4. I want to run stock 18 inch wheels which currently have dura trac 275/70 on them. Will this work?

I don't think that stock 18" wheels can clear the knuckle, even with a narrow tire. You would need at least a 1" spacer (though we recommend 1.50" spacers to avoid stud trimming) to clear with the factory 18s.

It will not, due to the fact that the factory Raptor wheels have too much backspacing to clear a 315 or 12.50" wide tire with this lift. To clear that wide of a tire, with those wheels and this lift, you would need wheel spacers.

On one of the questions it was asked if a 17x9 would fit with this kit and the answer given was yes depending on offset/backspacing. Could you clarify then what offset/backspacing would be required to fit a 17x9 wheel with 35x12.5 tires? I think this information would clear up a lot of people's concerns quickly if this answer is left on the item page rather then each individual having to call and ask.

Rough Country did not test 17" diameter wheels with this kit on the F150s, and don't have specific recommendations, and backspacing requirements for 17s can change depending on width, since some 17" wheels drop down to 8.5" wide. That all being said, you should be able to clear a 12.50" wide tire on a 17x9" wheel with a maximum of 5" of backspace, or on a 17x8.5" wheel with a maximum of 4.75" to 4.50" of backspace.

i want to purchase the rough country 4in lift for my 2013 f150 platinum. would i be able to fit 35x12.50 all terrain tires witht the stock rims? i dont want to put new wheels on until after the winter?

You would not. The factory wheels have too much backspace to clear a 12.50" wide tire with this lift kit. You would a wheel spacer to fit that combination in conjunction with this lift kit. We generally recommend using a 1.50" spacer to avoid having to trim your truck's studs.

Unfortunately, you will likely not clear the knuckles included in this kit with that wheel and tire combination. According to Rough Country, their kits require a maximum of 5" of backspace to clear a 35x12.50" tire on 18" wheels. Since your backspace is greater than 5", you would likely have clearance issues.

How would this kit do an a 2013 fx4 and use fox 2.0 coil-over shocks #985-02-006 on the front to replace my worn stock struts?

This kit would work just fine, though we do recommend lowering the Fox coilovers to a 0" factory ride height so you don't end up with 6" of total lift in the front of your truck and a rear rake. We'd also recommend possibly upgrading the rear shocks with BDS's Fox 2.0 Rear Shocks for 4" lifts, if you're looking for the best ride quality

They will not. The stock 20" wheels have too much backspace to fit a 12.50" wide tire. You would need wheel spacers to fit that size of tire, or you would need to jump down to a much narrower tire.

Will Fox 2.0 coilovers work with this lift? Will the 2.0 rear shocks work, or would I NEED to get the 4" 2.0 rear shocks?

The Fox coilovers will fit with this kit if and only if you use them in conjunction with the kit's strut spacers. They will not work in a standalone application, as they're not long enough. Standard stock-replacement Fox 2.0s will not work with this kit, and you'll need BDS's Fox 2.0 Shocks for 4" Lift Kits.

I have a set of bmf novakane wheels with 295/60/20 terra grapples. Wheels are 20x9 with zero offset. I'm guessing backspace is roughly 4.5. This lift should be ok for that set up right?

Yep, you should be fine with that setup. The wheels have enough backspace, and the tires are 33.9" x 11.6", which is below Rough Country's maximum recommended combination.

Is it possible to have a 4" lift with 37" tires?

Not with just the lift kit alone. To clear 37" tires with a 4" lift kit, you'd also need fenders with more clearance, an aftermarket front bumper with more clearance, wheels with the correct amount of backspacing, and even then you may need to do some trimming, depending on the width of the tire and what wheels you choose.

I have a 2012 F150 Fx4. I am Currently looking at getting this lift with a set of "F150 & Super Duty 35x12.5R20 Fuel Gripper MT Tire" along with "2004-2015 F150 Fuel Krank 20x12" D517 Wheel (6x135mm/-44mm Offset) Black Milled", all from your site. my question would be would these all match up correctly or have I done my research wrong? also what would be the biggest best fitting tire for a 2" lift if I were to keep what I already have.

That combination should work, given the high negative offset of the wheels you have in mind. The biggest tire you can fit with a 2" leveling kit depends on the wheel, but you can generally fit a 33" tall tire, with the width depending on the wheel's backspacing and offset.

The manufacturer claims a max of 5.5" backspace, however in the fitment notes is states the 20" factory FX4 rims can be used. I measured these to be about 6.5" backspace. Will a 20x9 wheel with 5.75" backspace and 295/60R20 tires work with this kit?

The kit requires a 5.50" backspace or less when using 35x12.50" tires, but can feasibly fit 20" FX4 wheels, fit the tires involved stay fairly narrow. As far as your 295/60R20sw on a 5.75" backspace wheel, you'd likely be fine, given that the tire width in your case is around 11.6". However, since that is a borderline backspace, you may see some amount of rub or contact when turning, especially if you choose a tire with fairly aggressive tread.
