2016 F150

Easy install, needed for towing tractor and travel trailer. I use bike pump to inflate to 30lbs while unloaded. I have a 2.5 level installed so it doesn’t take much to put me nose high. These prevent that and I recommend them

2015 F150 4x4

Initial install took a couple hours, including taking my time to route the air lines through the frame to the back license plate. After completing the install, one of the airbags was defective and would not hold air overnight. I contacted AirLift and they sent out a new airbag for free. The only bummer was needing to reinstall that same bag again 2 weeks later, but the new one installed much more quickly the second time. They work well so far with my trailer's 725# unloaded hitch weight. When aired down, they don't seem to affect the unloaded ride. So far I'm satisfied!

2016 f150

Had these installed by an airlift certified installer on my 2016 supercrew F150. They are exactly what I needed. My truck has a 2 inch level, so if I put any significant weight in the bed or towed it would sag. With these I had half a cord of wet hardwood in the back and set them at 30 psi, No sag at all. Ride remains stock at 10psi in bags.

2015 F 150

It took me about three hours because I was in no rush and took breaks. It was a simple install the hardest parts were jacking with a bottle jack and grinding down the plates as stated in the instructions. I installed them to help in the leveling of my trailer which was making the back sag a little. It only needed 30 psi to do the job but they can go up to 100 psi. I had a tough weight of 400 lbs.

installed last week and towed my small camper with it while carrying a dirt bike in the bed. I'm guessing I had 400 lbs in the bed, and a 600 lb trailer tongue weight with a weight distribution hitch. I ran 35-40 lbs in the air lift. Worked nicely.

Took about 1.5 hrs total time. It was an easy install and I like how this kit mounts with a U bracket style vs my 14 f150.

2015 f150

I had to modify how it was mount as my lift kit rear blocks would interfere with the bottom mount. Once I got that figured out it together really easy with everything I needed to complete the job. I was very happy when I was pulling my trailer with my tractor on it. It leveled the load and felt more controlled when towing. I did have one air bag damaged during shipping but they got a replacement one to me in a few days.

2017 f150

100 Psi won't level my truck with my toy hauler hooked up. I had the 5000's on my tundra and it would take around 25-30 psi to level it out with the same toy hauler that's 6000lb dry but not sure of tongue weight. The 5000's rode very rough when not hooked up so I tried these on my new truck. The 5000's you could watch the rear raise as you filled them, with these the back of the truck doesn't move. I'm sure it does a little but not anything i can see in the 20 seconds it takes to add air. I think the problem is the bags just swell outward instead of actually lifting the truck.

2017 F 150 3.5 ECO 157" WB

The air bag kit does what it says it does. I needed some suspension help to my 2017 F 150 3.5 ECO 157" WB (2/3" Levelling) to aid in towing a 6,000 LB travel trailer. Along with some fantastic new Eibach shocks. I previously levelled my truck out for better off-roading and, quite frankly, I like the look. This created some problems for towing and I hoped the 1000 LB air bags would solve my problem when I'm towing. I can report that everything (for once) went to plan. I cruise around with the recommended 5 psi with little notice of the bags. For some added bounce I was expecting, I upgraded the stock Ford shocks with the Eibach shocks through Stage 3. When towing, I have been putting 90 PSI in the bags and that has been maintaining the stance of the truck and making the front end feel more "planted" than with no 'air support." The back end is super stiff with out the trailer, but that's what you would expect, right? Installation was easy, I think it took me 2-3 hours with no issues. The quality of the parts and hardware appears to be good. I did have a leaky valve on the supply line, but I just replaced the valve it hasn't (knock on wood) leaked since. I recommend this product, and I hope this review helps you find what is right for your ride.

I have a 2016 F150 FX4 max tow package with max tongue weight rating of around 1200lbs, and max payload rating of around 2000lbs. I'm also leveled with Fox 2.0 front/rear kit. Even at max tow and/or payload, is there any reason whatsoever to upgrade to a LoadLifter (Ultimate) 5000 system over the RideControl 2000lb system? Which would you recommend and why?

For the weight you're handling, technically, no. However, the LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate kit does have the benefit of its internal jounce bumper, which lets you run the air springs without any air pressure, which helps keep ride quality near-stock when unloaded.

Will this kit work on a truck equipped with a axle flip kit to lower the truck?

Unfortunately, this kit will not fit a lowered truck, due to the fact that it installs on top of the leaf springs and mounts to the frame, which can't be done on a truck with a flip kit. Air Lift does not yet have a Slam Air System for lowered 2015-2016 F150s as of yet.

2016 FX4 SuperCrew. I also have a 2" leveling Bilstein kit and currently have 1/2" of rake. Will this kit keep my ride level when I am towing or hauling a payload? A slight rake or level ride while loaded is my priority. Thank you

As long as you're not going beyond this kit's 2,000lb weight limit, it should keep you level if not retain your current rake when your truck's loaded.

I have a 17 Limited 4x4 and tow a 9000 lb trailer. Without air springs the rear sags a few inches. So I went through a certified AirLift dealer and had two different 5000 kits installed. The first was completely unsafe. There was literally no give in the suspension. And the ride was concussion causing. I took it back in and they installed a different set of airsprings and the ride is now bearable. The truck hauls like a dream with the 5000’s. The ride is still too harsh for anyone not sitting on a foam pillow when unloaded. Considering the compressors and remote and all the wiring. Already done, would you recommend trying the 2000? My other idea is to take the airsprings out, reinstall the factory bumpers and just use the airsprings when going cross country with the tow behind.

Honestly, the RideControl Kit isn't going to ride much better when unloaded. Your plan of only installing the air springs when loaded may be your best bet as far as cost-effectiveness. Your only other potential option would be the the Timbren SES System, which rides extremely nice unloaded, but doesn't have quite the load leveling capability as a true air spring kit.

Will this kit work on a 2018 raptor?

It will not. The brackets used to mount the air springs will not clear the Raptor's rear shocks. Air Lift and Firestone will likely have Raptor-specific kits out in the very near future.
