Had this kit installed today by the dealership I purchased my truck from which is a 2016 F150 XLT FX4. I've only driven it about 70 miles and it feels great no problems. Before install there was a 3.250 rake and after install it's down to 1 rake. It looks great and just by eye it looks leveled. I have not used the 4x4 yet so can't comment on pro's and con's in that area.

The spacers were milled precisely and fit as advertised. The box they came in labeled them 2.0 but they are definitely 2.25. I was able to unscrew the studs from the spacers by hand so I used Loctite to secure them into the spacers. The install was easy but for a few things: I found it unnecessary to remove the axle as the directions say. Instead, I removed the lower control arms bolts and swung them down. Had I not, there was absolutely no way to install the strut with the spacers and rotated 180 degrees. With the angle of the strut and the height, there just wasn't enough room. Doing it this way prevented the removal of the lower mount pins on the strut--another unnecessary step in the directions IMO. These spacers raised the front 2.25 and measures 24.5 curb height with the back slightly higher for a near level stance. It is negligible. I would highly recommend these to eliminate factory rake. Great product and they are barely visible in the strut tower.

So far so good. I haven't noticed any harshness in the front suspension. The only thing to note is that for me the true front lift was only 2' vs the advertised 2.25'. This is minor and overall I m happy with the spacers.

Looking to lift/ raise the front end of your truck without compromising your suspension geometry? Boom this ReadyLift 2.25 leveling kit is right on level for the leveling you’re looking for. I wanted to lift the front of my 2019 f150 without the worry of my cv shaft angels being too extreme with a high quality kit, and that’s exactly what you get with ReadyLift! Installation is best done for those who are mechanical savvy, and follow recommended torque specs. This kit took me roughly 1 hour with my experience as a mechanic. Highly recommend blue locktite for the top hat bolts and remember 30lbs of torque is all you need! Also HIGHLY RECOMMEND using a vacuum gun on your hubs before pulling your shaft so you do not damage your 4x4 engagement. I have a friend who installed a kit on his 2016 F150 and his cv shafts are continually engaged up to his transfer case. First pic is stock second with leveling kit, and third pic is with leveling kit, 3 inch rear blocks and 33.5’s

Customer Question Thinking of installing these on 2020 4wd with max tow. Have 2.5 inches rake from factory. Can I install these along with the eibach or billstein struts at stock level and get the 2.25 raise and still gain a firmer planted ride from the struts?

Asked by: Josh Garner - 5/2/2025
Customer Answer Yes you can run this spacer with Eibach or Bilstein struts at the stock height setting to get a better dampening shock setup on the truck. We would not recommend using any of the lift heights in combination with a strut leveling spacer.

Asked by: Bowdy Wachs - 1/20/2023

Customer Question 2018 king ranch FX 4 . I have lookers a tons of videos about leveling kits , and was going with a 2.5” kit until I seen the 2.25” kit .. and I hear the closer you get to 3” lift the more your suspension takes a toll in the long run.. so will the 2.25 be a better choice sense it’s in the middle of the 2” & 2.50” options

Asked by: Tonio - 12/21/2022
Customer Answer Any amount of front leveling throws off your suspension geometry to some extent, though over the 2" mark, your UCAs can really start contacting the OEM coilover springs, which isn't particularly great for either component, especially off-road. At 2.50" the F150s tend to sit about dead-level. At 2.25", the trucks keep a bit of rake, which is nice if you haul on occasion, though it does potentially help a bit with UCA contact issues. Frankly, if you're not going to be off-roading at all, you probably don't need to worry about aftermarket UCAs up to 2.50", but this kit is a decent compromise.

Customer Question Why isn’t this listed for the 21+ f150? Plenty have installed this level kit without issue on those.

Asked by: Jeff - 8/26/2022
Customer Answer ReadyLift has not confirmed fitment on the 2021-2022 F150s, and due to the slightly different suspension geometries of the 2021-2022 F150s, you may run into issues and those "plenty" of people jumped the gun, and I wish them luck with any warranty-related issues that may arise.

Asked by: Brendon - 10/25/2021
Customer Answer This leveling kit will fit on top of King's 2.5 coilovers. However, if you are going to do that, we don't recommend going beyond 3" of total front lift, and you'll need to adjust the coilovers down to stay below that ride height threshold.

Customer Question Hi, I have a 2019 f150 xlt sport. I would like to keep the factory rake of the truck as I tow quite often. With this 2.25 level up front which rear block and shock would I go with to keep the factory rake or close to it?

Asked by: Rich - 4/23/2020
Customer Answer In theory, it takes about 2.50" of front leveling to get these truck's dead-level, so to be at a factory rake with this 2.25" kit, you'll need 2.75" of rear ride height. However, you're likely not going to be able to find rear shocks that can handle that much lift outside of shocks meant for actual lift kits. The factory shocks won't be able to handle that much lift. Depending on what you're doing, you likely don't need that much rake. If you're towing and hauling, then an add-a-leaf kit would likely be more than suitable. Give us a call directly at 623-434-5277 so we can get more specific about what you're doing.

Customer Question I have a 2018 FX4 SuperCrewCab. Will the 2.25 Ready Lift 2.25" Spacer Kit fit a 275/65/r20 without any rub or trimming, modifications, etc.?

Asked by: Carter - 3/19/2020
Customer Answer That will depend somewhat on your truck's wheels, specifically their widths, offsets, and backspacing. That being said, if you're using a wheel with a positive offset (+18mm, +20mm, +25mm, etc.), you will probably clear during normal street driving. You might get some rub during turning and articulating at the same time, which will require minor amounts of trimming to alleviate.

Customer Question Will these work with a 2017 F150 with the FX4 package? I want to run a 34" tire and it says on the company site that you can run a 35" but will not work with FX4 for some reason???

Asked by: PortHuronRN - 8/30/2019
Customer Answer ReadyLift states that this spacer is too tall for an FX4, since the FX4s have slightly taller strut assemblies. In our experience, this is generally not an issue. If you're concerned, you can always go with a 2" leveling kit of some sort.

Customer Question 2018 F150 Supercrew FX4. Do I need a camber kit to align the front end after installing this kit?

Asked by: Bud - 1/22/2019

Asked by: Terry Tweedell - 1/1/2019
Customer Answer An alignment is strongly recommended after the installation of this kit, mostly to correct toe angle to avoid uneven tire wear.

Customer Question I have a 2018 Fx4 - Debating between this or the bilstein 5100s. The bilsteins would be at the highest setting as well. I’m just curious about ride quality as I’ve heard that bilsteins on the top setting are really rough. Are they rougher than a coil spacer? Im in Southern California, probably 85-90% on road.

Asked by: Thomas - 12/18/2018
Customer Answer The Bilsteins for the 2014-2018 F150s tend to have less issues with stiffness at their upper ride heights than the versions for the 2009-2013 F150s, mostly because the newer 5100 strut assemblies only level to 2.1" rather than 2.25" like the older versions. We ran the Bilsteins at their full ride height on one of our project trucks and didn't have an issue with on-road ride quality. The only real benefit of the ReadyLift kit is that it does get you closer to true "dead level", though technically, we put "dead level" at roughly 2.5" of leveling.

Customer Question What is the biggest size tire I can do with a 20x10 -24 offset fuel maverick? I would like to avoid any type of cutting to the crash bars. If there is a different offset you recommend, I am open to suggestions.

Asked by: Jr - 10/18/2018
Customer Answer With a 20x10" wheel with a -24mm offset, you're not going to have to cut the crash bars with any reasonably-sized tire. However, going bigger than a 33x11.50" or close metric equivalent will likely necessitate trimming your truck's front valance and/or the back of the front wheel well. Your best bet is to call us directly at 623-434-5277 so we can get more specific about what you're trying to do.

Customer Question I am going back and forth between the 2 or the 2.25" leveling kits. I currently have a 2015 4x4 King Ranch and just recently put 285/65/20 KO2's. My question is which would you recommend with this current setup to avoid cutting or trimming and keep level as possible? Thank you!

Asked by: Beto Vargas - 9/27/2018
Customer Answer To properly clear tires that tall, you'll likely need as much leveling as you can get. That being said, you final choice of leveling kit is really going to depend on how much rake you want (if any at all). If you're looking to keep some rake for towing, then your best bet would be a 2" kit. If you want to be closer to dead-level, then the 2.25" kit or a 2.5" kit is your better bet.

Customer Question What's the biggest size tire you can fit on a 2015 FX4 with this 2.25" Spacer in a stock 18" Wheel??

Asked by: Daniel Brown - 9/20/2018
Customer Answer If you want to avoid all possible rubbing and crash bar issues, the biggest tire we generally recommend is a 33x11.50" or close metric equivalent. That being said, you can typically go a little taller on the factory wheels and not see rub during street driving. A 285/70R18, 305/65R18, or possibly a 295/70R18 on the outside shouldn't rub during normal street driving, though you might see a smidge of rub when articulating and turning at the same time.

Customer Question I have a new stock '18 F150 Lariat FX4. Besides the obvious, price and 2.25 versus 2.1 ride height increase, what is the difference in this and the Bilstein 5100's? Based on your knowledge is one going to ride different than the other? If so, in what way? Would you recommend one over the over to achieve a nearly level ride?

Asked by: steveav8r - 8/28/2018
Customer Answer The ReadyLift 2.25" Leveling Kit won't provide you with any sort of ride, handling, or off-road performance. They are purely for adding ride height. The Bilstein 5100s provide improved ride quality, on-road handling, and off-road performance. If getting a leveled stance is your only goal, then ReadyLift's spacer kit or a 2.5" leveling kit of some sort would be your better option, though you won't see any suspension performance or ride quality improvement.

Customer Question ReadyLift says this kit is not to be used on FX4, they recommend the 1.5 inch kit. I have already purchased this kit, is it safe to use?

Asked by: Steve - 6/1/2018
Customer Answer We're honestly not sure what they're on about. Any leveling kit that adds 2" or more ride height runs the risk of giving you UCA contact with your spring, regardless of submodel. As long as you're not really beating your truck off-road, you should be fine. If you are concerned, you could always add an aftermarket UCA or go with another kit.

Asked by: scott - 5/7/2018
Customer Answer You would not need a rear block to get a level stance. In general, it takes a 2.5" leveling kit to get the 2015-2018 (both 4WD & RWD) to get a dead-level stance. Tire are going to depend on whether you're willing to trim and how far you want the tires to stick out from the wheel well. A 305/55R20 would probably be the biggest tire I'd try to squeeze in there, and you might see some amount of rub due to the wheel's backspace. A 295/60R20 could work, though still might see a smidge of rub. A 285/60R20 or 275/60R20 should clear without issues.

Asked by: Tobin - 12/13/2016
Customer Answer In general, we usually recommend sticking with a 33x11.50" or close metric equivalent if you want to avoid trimming all together. If you're okay with minor valance trimming, you could probably do larger 33" sizes, like a 305/55r20.

Customer Question My trucks (2016 F150s) are driven around the farm (relatively flat south east coast terrain) and on the highway. With the installation of the Ready Lift 2.25" leveling kit, do you also recommend the installation of aftermarket uniball UCAs, or is this overkill for the type of service described? The UCAs are currently stock. Also, is it correct that the installation of aftermarket UCAs will NOT restore the factory CV joint angles once a leveling kit is installed? Thanks!

Asked by: RNC - 11/16/2016
Customer Answer Aftermarket uniball UCAs aren't required for leveling kits unless you're really beating your trucks around off-road over fairly rough surfaces that require full and/or violent articulation on a regular basis. You are correct about uniball UCAs. They do nothing to correct UCA, CV, tie rod, or LCA angles. They simply allow for some extra travel over the stock UCAs, since their uniball joint doesn't bind like a standard balljoint, and there's also less of a chance of UCA spring contact at leveled heights with aftermarket upper control arms.

Asked by: Nate - 6/1/2016
Customer Answer There's not a difference in overall rake between the SuperCrew and SuperCab trucks. It can seem like it, especially when looking at SuperCrew Cab truck with a 6.5ft bed, just because those trucks are longer, but the amount of rake is not any different.
