Add Tire Clearance without Compromising Safety and Integrity
While the 2019-2023 Ford Rangers only need a bit of lift to fit on larger tires to hit the trails, the stock intrusion bars really limit how large of a tire you can fit on and not everyone wants to just outright remove the factory crash bars. ReadyLift's High-Clearance Anti-Intrusion Beams feature a notched design that provides clearance for up to a 285/70R17 tire when paired with a suitable leveling kit and set of wheels. Despite the clearance they provide, ReadyLift's Ranger High-Clearance Intrusion Beams are built incredibly strong so that you don't have to compromise your truck's safety features while still squeezing on bigger tires. This full Ranger Intrusion Beam Kit comes with both a pair of front intrusion beams and a pair of rear intrusion beams for your Ranger's front wheel wells that install in the factory intrusion beam pockets using the factory hardware. ReadyLift's High-Clearance Intrusion Beams require cutting the stock crash bars for installation.
Extremely Strong Steel Construction with Black Powder Coat Finish
ReadyLift's Intrusion Beams are built tough and meet all of the rigorous requirements of the factory crash bars while still providing more tire clearance. ReadyLift's High-Clearance Intrusion Beams feature an all-steel construction and are both laser-cut and robotically welded to ensure a perfect fit and exceptional strength. The ReadyLift Ranger Intrusion Beams are topped off with a gloss black powder coat finish that looks great and prevents corrosion in nearly any climate or application. The ReadyLift Intrusion Beams have been verified using Finite Element Analysis to meet the specifications and durability of the factory intrusion beams. ReadyLift's Anti-Intrusion Beams slot right into the stock crash bar pockets and reuse the stock bolts. The notched design allows for the fitment of up to LT285/70R17 tires with a ReadyLift 3" leveling kit or other similar leveling system. ReadyLift includes instructions and backs the intrusion beams with a limited lifetime warranty.
Fitment:
2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 Ford Ranger
Requires trimming:
installation of ReadyLift's High-Clearance Intrusion Beams require cutting out the factory crash bars for installation.
Tire fitment:
according to ReadyLift, these crash bars will clear up to a 285/70R17 tire. However, mounting that tire on a Ranger will also require at least a 2" leveling kit and either wheel spacers or an aftermarket wheel with less backspace than stock to clear the factory knuckle.

Arrived on time and everything was as described. Thank you Stage3! The install was easy, direction were good. However, I did not need to cut out any beams! All you have to do is loosen the front bumper one side at a time. The fronts will slide right out. The rears were just as easy. Loosen the stock flares and slightly (2-3mm) bend the lower piece of thin metal that's in the way. I just tapped it with a rubber mallet. Use a little lube on the beams so they slide easy. I now have all the beams in case I want to return the truck to stock. No cutting needed!

Install was pretty straight forward, about 2 hours (cutting the factory beams out was 90% of it) 285/55/20 and plenty of clearance with 2" level.

BEEFY! If you are worried about the safety of taking out the stock bars, these things are stout! Much heavier material than stock. Easiest way to remove stock bars was to use a cut off disk to cut through the stock bars as far as possible (used a 4 1/2" grinder) and finish off with a short, high quality metal blade on a reciprocating saw, removal should take no time at all.

I’ve got plenty of room, now that I have removed the original crash bars and installed the ReadyLift ones. I took my time(2 to 3 hrs), went through 3 extra cutting blades, besides the one on saw. But everything turned out as hoped for, replaced factory 265/65/17 to 285/70/17 on factory wheels. I already had the 2.25in level and 1.25in wheel adapters.Life is good.

I have the Fox 2.0 level kit. I put 265/70R18 on Fuel 10x9 +20 offset. They were hitting the crash bars for sure... I chose the cutting route to remove the existing bars. That went as expected. I really like the new intrusion beams, especially because they slid right in and used the existing hardware (bolts). Love them. Perfect fit and clearance! No rubbing at all! Kudos to Stage 3 - they shipped the same day I ordered them!

After installing my suspension lift and 285/70’s, these were a must. Installing them was some work but no biggie. I had to cut the stock bars to get them out. The construction of these are far more robust than the OEM bars and will certainly provide the protection. Overall very pleased. Thank you Stage 3.

Removing the factory intrusion beams took some cutting with a reciprocating saw and several metal saw blades. The replacement beams went in with no trouble. I have not leveled my truck yet and I have no rubbing issues with 275 55/R20 tires with a +20 offset Fuel wheel.

Again S3M rocked the shipping! The intrusion beams are super solid, fit great and I have total confidence they will preform if needed. Install took about 2-3 hours and was pretty straight forward. Front bars I removed the panel behind the fog light and pulled back the liner. I had access to a portable bandsaw which made quick work of the old bars. On the rear I followed Ready Lift instructions, again using a bandsaw. Little more work removing the liner and plastic safety block but directions are spot on. Should have no problem fitting 285/70/17 on with 2-3in lift.

Great quality product. These will likely protect you better than stock crash bars. They are a bit challenging to install. The easiest way to remove the front crash bars is to loosen the bumper. Don't remove the bumper just loosen it. Once loosened the crash bar will just slide by no cutting needed. The rears I cut with a Sawzall. With a little bit of patience, it doesn’t take long. Now I’m ready for 285’s

For installation do you need to remove any bumpers
Asked by:
Bryce Graulich
- 4/19/2024
If trying to keep your factory intrusion beams in one piece, than you would need to remove the bumper to remove the factory beams. If you do not care to keep the factory beams usable, than you can cut the factory beams to remove them without needing to remove the bumper. Than you will be able to reinstall the smaller high clearance beams with no issues.

- 3/23/2024
If you are still rubbing on the crash bars with the 1.5" wheel spacers, putting this set of high clearance bars will definitely help alleviate that issue.

We ran a 17x9.5" wheel with a 6mm offset with 285/70r17 on our ranger. You would want something around that offset or a little more positive.

I have a 23 Ford Ranger FX4 Off Road with factory 18” wheels with an 1 1/2 front leveling kit. I’m going to install a ReadyLift High-Clearance Anti-Intrusion Beams kit and would like to know what’s the biggest tire I could use that wouldn’t rub. Thanks in advance.
Asked by:
Tom
- 7/3/2023
Factory wheels will limit you to a 275 wide tire due to clearance issues on the knuckle. If you get a wheel with less offset or run a set of wheels spacers like we did on the first tiers of build on our ranger, you can clear a 285.

Would you be able to keep the mud flaps with changing the rear crash bar? Would the 285/70 R17 still fit with the mud flaps? What back spacing would be needed? I have a 2" leveling kit with Icon 2.5's and uca's.
Asked by:
Fred
- 7/2/2023
The crash bar is not going to change the mud flap location at all so you would most likely still have some clearance issues when turning if trying to run wider 285 tires. It's not a combination we have tried so I could not guarantee you could clear it without some trial and error on your part.

Maybe a silly question but what benefit does cutting the existing bars before removing the bolts?
Asked by:
Kyle
- 5/14/2023
You will not be able to remove the bars without taking the front end apart if you just try to unbolt them due to their length. Cutting them first lets you pull the factory ones out without having to take your bumper apart. The new ones being shorter will than slide back into place and be able to be bolted in.

I have a 21 ranger with 17” wheels. I have the Fox 2.0 Kit tuned by ford performance. If I snag these low profile crash bars, what would be the largest tire I could use (no wheel spacers) while keeping my 17” wheels? Thanks!
Asked by:
Jojo
- 6/10/2022
We haven't done comprehensive fitment testing on these intrusion beams, but you can likely clear a 275/70R17. You would not be able to use a 285 wide tire on the stock wheels due to knuckle clearance issues.

Asked by:
Kent Payne

With the stock wheels and no wheel spacer, you'll be limited to a 275 wide tire. If you want to be safe, you can go with a 275/65R18. A 275/70R18 might clear with ReadyLift's crash bars, but we have not tried the combination ourselves.
