Very pleased with lift, but once alignment was done, going 55 mph, and I get on the gas, the rear end sways to the right? Anybody have any ideas what needs to be done to resolve this?

Improved the original ride, looks good and rides good. Setup on truck is 20x9 -12 Grid GD04 with 285/60/20 Firestone Transforce AT tires. Requires minimum 1/2” trimming of power running boards.

Customer Answer We can't strictly guarantee it. In theory, if you completely swap out your air suspension for a standard suspension, this kit may fit. We have not done a swap ourselves.

Customer Answer This kit will work fine with the stock wheels without spacers, you'll just be limited on tire widths when using the stock wheels, so you'll have to be careful with your tire sizing.

Customer Question Was there any need to extend the brake lines? Also, is there any need for an extended control arm to help deal with awkward suspension issues or increased wear on front end bushings or other components?

Customer Answer Extended brake lines are not required with this kit. Aftermarket control arms are generally not necessary, and very few are available for the Expeditions in the first place. Bushings may be an issue, especially on trucks that have a lot of miles on them, and especially if you're going to be putting on larger and heavier tires.

Customer Answer Unfortunately, we do not have any confirmation of any Expedition leveling kit working with the air suspension system. You may be able to delete the air system and convert to either coilovers or struts all around, but we do not know if you'd end up throwing codes or having other issues.

Customer Question A followup question to the 2013 Ford Expedition XLT rubbing question. I see it is recommended with this kit to use 33" x 11.50" tires to avoid rubbing, so will 305/55R20 tires cause rubbing?

Customer Answer That's going to entirely depend on wheel you're using, specifically its backspacing and offset. In general, with a tire that wide, you're going to see some rub and require valance trimming, if not trimming the factory power steps, depending on offsets. Customer Question How did y’all trim the Lower balance on the bumper. What tools and did you guys sand it down and repaint or leave it how it was. What tool would you recommend for accomplishing this task as well

Customer Answer We just used a Dremel and we did not end up repainting. We did try to cut at an angle to keep the unpainted and de-burred side toward the inside of the wheel well to make it less noticeable.

Customer Answer It's the same principle as any other leveling kit in that it does throw off your suspension geometry to some extent. However, in our experience, turn radius is only thrown off due to also adding larger tires, ride quality isn't usually effected unless your factory shock assemblies are fairly worn or you add LT tires, and ball joint concerns are generally overblown.

Customer Question when you say this comes will all the installation instructions, does that mean it comes with proper torque specs? I've watched the install video and some factory parts are recommended to be removed to make installation easier. Customer Answer Our 2012 Expedition Project didn't exhibit overly drastic UCA angles or abnormal driving characteristics with this kit installed. That being said, this kit does put extra stress on the UCAs due throwing off their angles, and since your truck has a decent amount of miles on it, I would recommend at least a set of new ball joints.

Customer Answer You won't be able to clear a 35" tall tire without trimming, regardless of your wheel option, especially if you with a fairly wide tire. Even then 295/70R18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers (34.3" x 11.6") we used on our 2012 Expedition rubbed on its 18x9" Wheels with an 01mm offset.

Customer Question I had my local 4x4 shop install the readylift spacers on my 2011 Expedition and the upper control arm hits the coils in the front when going over speed bumps ect. Is there a replacement UCA I need to look in to? Was this an issue you had a work around for?

Customer Answer We did not have spring contact on our 2014 Expedition Project, though we were also using the Bilstein 4600s instead of the factory strut assemblies. Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any aftermarket UCAs available for the Expeditions at this time.

Customer Question Hello there, I lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado and I have a 2005 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer 4x4 with no air suspension so I'm good to install this system; my question is do I have to change the gear radio after changing the tire size to 33s or 35s? And if I changing to 35s what wheel and tire combination will you recommend? Thank you for your help.

Customer Answer Whether you should re-gear or not really depends on what you're doing with your truck and whether or not you're prepared to sacrifice fuel economy for better acceleration and towing. Frankly, you're going to have a tough time fitting 35" tall tires with just this kit. Our 2012 Expedition project used this kit with 295/70R18s (34.3x11.6"-ish) and had a good deal of rub that could only be solved by trimming the front valance and the factory power steps. The biggest tire I would run to avoid rub and trimming issues would be a 33x11.50" or close metric equivalent, regardless of wheels. With 33", I think a custom tune would be a more cost-effective solution than a full front and rear re-gear.

Customer Answer According to ReadyLift, this kit will fit 2018 Expeditions. However, it will not fit models equipped with OEM air suspension systems, which most Platinum models actually have. You'll need to confirm whether or not your Expedition has air suspension before ordering.

Customer Question Do you have any pictures of the trimming that was required on the running boards?

Customer Answer We actually don't, because you can't really tell. We ended up removing the running borad's end caps, trimming the actual board down a smidge, and then reinstalling the end caps, so it turned out very clean. You can only tell they've been trimmed since they don't line up perfectly with the back side of the front wheel well in some of our images/videos.

Customer Question Why does the measured height of spacer is not as per description and it's lower ? Both front 3" and rear 2" are actually lower then stated in product description.

Customer Answer The spacers provide 3" of front ride height and 2" of rear ride height, but the spacers themselves are not actually 3" and 2" tall, respectively. Independent suspension system's ride heights are based on the total geometry of the mechanism, and ride height gains work in ratios with the height of the coilover assembly. Thus, it doesn't take a full 3" spacer height to get 3" of ride height.

Customer Answer We not 100% sure, honestly. We haven't had an Expedition with air suspension as of yet. There could be a difference in mount designs, and there's a possibility that removing the air suspension system would throw traction control errors without IDS/FORScan programming.

Customer Answer It really depends on the condition of your shocks and struts and what you're planning on doing with your truck. If your Expedition is still running fine and you're not going to be doing too much off-roading, then your stock shocks will likely be fine. If your Expedition already has pretty bad ride quality and/or you're going to use it as a camping/trail/hunting truck off-road, then upgrading the shock and strut assemblies is definitely a good idea.
