15-20 F150 / 19-22 Ranger Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator

I upgraded the size of my tires and needed to calibrate the speedometer, Ford does not allow the dealership to do this anymore. The Hypertech worked great. Took just a few minutes to calibrate my speedometer to match the speed accuracy on my Garmin GPS. Very easy to use, just follow the instructions on the unit. I highly recommend The Hypertech if you change your tire size on a newer F150.

It works! We put this on a 2015 Ford F-150 with 35's and got it calibrated perfectly. However, I had to put the tire size on 32.75 to get to calibrate the speedometer exactly. I'm glad this calibrator had that option to adjust by .25, most calibrators don't. Great buy!

The standard tires on the F-150 are 275/55/20 and I put 275/65/20's on which are 2 inches larger in diameter. The reviews on this site were key in 1) convincing me this is the right product, 2) how to use it easily, and 3) what adjustments to make to get the right calibration. I took the 34.1-inch diameter and subtracted the recommended 1.375 and entered 32.75 and my speedometer matches my GPS app spot on. I also plotted a mile using Google maps then drove it and odometer is spot on too. Good device to have.

Super easy to use. Plug it in, follow the directions, and done... that easy. Took about 10/15 min.

Used to correct speedometer after installing taller tires on truck. Follow prompts on the screen and you're done in maybe 10 minutes. Speedo was off at first, but after a quick call to Hypertech was told to measure outside diameter of tire minus lug height and enter that to the closest .25 inch increment of programmer. I found that to be about 1 and 3/8 inches less than the manufacturer's outside diameter measurement as provided on their website(33.2-1.375=31.825). I programmed in 31.75 and now speedometer reads virtually the same as GPS, and the drive to work from home is 22.7 miles like it was with factory tires.

Used on my 2016 F150 3.5 ecoboost.Takes a few minutes to calibrate but works great. It dialed my speed to exactly what gps says. I definitely recommend this for anyone using aftermarket tires. Mine are 35's and I put in 33 to get the exact speed. Price can't be beat!

I purchased some 34 in bfg ko2 tires and wanted proper Speedo and millage readings. My first programming attempt with actual 34.1 tire size didnt work but as others suggested I subtracted 1.375 and got a match.

Worked perfect after updating with latest Software. Tires areToyo Mt's 35x12.5x20. Rear tire diameters are 34.5 inches after measuring . Subatratred 1.375 and programmed calibator 33.25 Now truck speed matched exacly what gps says. Biggest gain for the truck I think is how the ten speed transmission performs after. . Shifts are much faster at normal driving. Before it seems like to stay at 9th gear at 70-75 mph even on a flat road after. Now it gets to 10th quick and like to stay at 10th. I highly recommend to buy this product.

I put 275/65/20’s on my truck, after reading the reviews here I followed the advise of the others and entered 32.75. The speedometer is spot on with my GPS App. Anyone needing another testimonial in favor of this product I highly recommend it. Yes there may be cheaper ways to calibrate a speedometer but this is the simplest. One piece of advice would be to go to the website and download the latest software first thing.

This Hypertech speedometer calibration device worked perfectly on my 2020 F150 5.0 liter. A few things to note...make sure your battery has a full charge before you start using this device. This is extremely important. You do not want to perform any type of re-flashing with a questionable battery. The first time you use this device, it needs to read your vehicle information. This takes a bit of time, thus one of the needs for a full battery charge. Once the initialization procedure is complete, things are pretty straightforward. Be patient, and read all of the menus the device presents you. My application was a 2020 F150 5.0 4x4 that came stock with P275/55 R20 tires. I got rid of the 20 inch wheels in exchange for aftermarket 17's with LT285/75 R17 tires, which measure about 33.8 inches in diameter. This is roughly 2 inches larger than stock in diameter. As some of the previous reviewers have stated, there may be a bit of trial and error to get things dialed in just right. Don't be surprised if the tire size you program is actually a bit smaller than the actual diameter of the tires you installed. Get yourself a quality GPS app, and compare the GPS speed data to the speedometer in your vehicle while driving. Try to find a flat, open road where you can cruise steady for the best comparison results, then adjust if necessary. For those who may be wondering....yes, this calibration device comes with a "return to stock" feature. The adjustments this device makes can be made in as low as half inch increments, so getting things dialed in shouldn't be too difficult. 5 star device, in my opinion. Does exactly what it's advertised to do. Shipping from Stage 3 Motorsports was fast, so that was a nice, added bonus.

Fast shipping and packaged well. I ordered this product because I have a lifted truck on 35" tires and my speedometer was off by 7-8 mph depending on the speed I was traveling. Since using the product, I am now 4-5 mph off. I used the programmer twice and it seems the best I can achieve right now is the 4-5 mph difference.

Warning to ranger owners, this works…but it will take you some trial and error. I have 285/70 R17s on my ranger. This should be roughly a 32.75” on the programmer. I used gps speed as well as a known mileage route to verify that it was working correctly. I had to adjust the tire sizes down to a 31.50 for the speedo and mileage to be as close as possible without under prediction. The speedo seems roughly 1/2 mph off from the speedo and a couple 10th of a mile off on a 5 mile course. It’s also worth noting that hyper tech does not list this product as compatible with a ranger on their website when I checked most recently.

I have lived with inaccurate speedometer and mileage being incorrect for 100k miles. I just put one bigger size on my truck (285/75/17) on Raptor take offs and decided to try this. It totally worked and no drama. I did have to change the sizes a couple of times to get it to match a speedometer app on my iPhone. It’s now within 1mph. You do have to drop down it size quite a bit. I stared with a measured 33.25 and ended at 32.5”. The first time is takes a little longer but the next two I did took less than 5 mins. If you cant get a tune like us California guys this is worth it. I also feel like the shifts are bettter.
