AMP Form & Function

The BedXTender HD Max features a U-shape design for maximum cargo capacity to keep the gear in your 2019-2023 Ford Ranger secure. It provides the extra clearance needed when used with some tonneau cover rails. Flip it out with the tailgate open to gain nearly two feet of cargo area. Flip it inside and close the tailgate to keep tools and smaller cargo contained in the truck bed. Installation is simple with the kit's included bolt-on bracket; drilling is not required.

Ranger 2021 with Extang Exceed tonneau cover. Will the extender fit and flip properly?

The AMP Bed Extender will install just fine. I'm not 100% sure about clearance when flipping it back and forth, however. The Extang Exceed's rails sit inboard of the bed rails a good bit, which could case an issue. At worst, you'd probably have to detach the BedExtender in order to turn it around. Unfortunately, we haven't tried the combo, and it's hard to say for sure.

When they did my spray and liner they did actually cover all the bolt holes much to my dismay. Is there a way to install this or do I have to figure out some way to get those threads cleaned out?

I don’t want to drill holes in my 2021 Ford Ranger XLT, so I want to double check that no drilling is required for the install of the HD Max and that the brackets fit on the existing holes on the truck.

The mounting brackets install into holes that are already in the bed, and this kit does not require drilling. That being said, if you have a thick bed liner that covers those holes, you may have to do a smidge of drilling just to uncover them.

I have a 2021 Ranger with a spray in bedliner, will the screws work without any modifications?

As long as whoever did your spray-in did not cover the holes they install into, you should not have an issue. The screws are long enough to still work with the vast majority of spray-in bed liners.

Neither AMP nor ourselves have confirmed fitment on the 2021 Rangers. That being said, not much changed on the 2021 Rangers, so there is likely not an issue.

Good Morning, do you happen to know if this mounting plate will work on a 2019 Ford Ranger Raptor (European Spec). It's built in a different factory than the North American Ranger, so I am not sure if the pre-tapped mounting threads will be present on the European Ranger. Thanks, Jordan

Unfortunately, neither ourselves nor AMP have had an EUDM Ranger to test-fit. That being said, if your truck has the necessary holes for this BedXtender and you can thread an M6 bolt into them, then this kit should fit just fine on your truck.
