High-Flow Design with High-Quality Components and Hardware

S&B designs and manufacturers each of their 2011 to 2014 F150 5.0L Cold Air Intake Kits from the ground up to give your truck a lifetime of improved performance. The kit's specialized dry and disposable air filter has deep pleats and is made out of high-quality silicone that's stronger and more resilient to engine bay heat and stress than competing urethane filters. The filter comes housed in a completely new upper air box assembly that attaches to the bottom half of your stock air box and keeps the filter protected from performance-robbing heat soak. S&B's air box comes standard with a sight window to make it easy to check your filter. For the stock bottom half of the air box, S&B includes a new, larger air inlet that helps provide more air to the filter. The kit comes with a new inlet tube that's larger and smoother than stock which helps promote improved airflow all the way to your F150's throttle body. The kit is rounded out by high-quality silicone couplers, clamps, hardware, and instructions for installation.

2012 ford f-150

This is a very well designed product. Comes with all the necessary hardware ,no cutting or drilling. The installation was quick and easy,less than an hour . It makes a sound kind of nice rumble sound when you accelerate and quiets done once the engine levels off. I strongly recommend this product .

2013 F150 5.0

Dresses up the engine compartment very nicely. Easy install. Throttle response is better. Increase in power or mpg not noticeable. Disappointed in the drone and vibration it has in certain rpm ranges. I noticed the top part of the intake does not fit solidly on the lower part of the stock air box. It would rattle when I shook it. Put on a strip of stick on insulation to fill the gap. No more rattle. Will see if this helps with the vibration and drone. Only 3 stars. Sorry.

2013 Ford F150 XLT SC 5.0

The shipment arrived within 3 days of placing my order and the installation video on the site was very helpful and it's all I needed to use to get everything installed. Everything fit perfectly and looks good! The 5.0 really sounds good when getting on the throttle and I'm very happy with it. I haven't seen any improvement in MPG, but I didn't expect too. Just wanted a better air filter and much better sound when on the throttle and it does just that.

Excellent fit, look, and power gain. sounds great when you mash the gas. Took me about 30 minutes with basic hand tools to install. Could not be more pleased with it.

Are there any horsepower and torque gains with this kit?

In general, you can see about 5-10 peak horsepower with your average cold air intake with more or less similar torque. The real benefit is throttle response.

"The kit's specialized dry and disposable air filter . . . " Does the manufacturer have a recommended replacement interval for the filter?

How long the filter lasts varies pretty wildly based on your climate and how much/how often you off-road the truck. According to S&B, the filter lasts up to 30,000 miles for pure highway driving, but if you're in a dusty area or are ripping around off-road fairly often, you'll probably get less than that.

This intake does not require a custom tune, and generally doesn't require a tune revision for operation. That being said, if you feel like you need a revision after installing this intake, give us a call directly at 623-434-5277, and we'll see about getting you set up.
