2016 Ford F150 Lariat
First of all, Stage3 is Awesome! I ordered this intake on Sunday with Free shipping. I expected it to take 5 days. I received it overnight air on Tuesday. I almost didn't buy this product fearing that since it was much cheaper than the others, it might not be a quality item. I was Wrong, this product is excellent! The ease of install and finish are perfect! I went with the closed system hoping to avoid the noise from the open filter systems. This intake is as quiet as the stock intake. This intake looks amazing and I will buy from S&B again!

2018 Ford Raptor
Took about 1 1/2. I took my time. Excellent product. Clean install with no problems at all. I would definitely recommend.

2017 F150
Easy to follow instructions and the install was very easy. The only thing left out was that there is an extension for the sensor, so don't worry its not in the same place and the existing plug doesn't reach. The extension takes care of the issue. Haven't been able to see what difference it makes yet, but I'm sure I'll get the added power they report to get.

This intake is quality made. Install went well, instructions were simple enough. In my opinion nicest looking intake and great value. I have had it well over a thousand miles since install, have not noticed any difference in mpg as my dash has the mpg display. The spool up is as quiet if not more quiet than stock. I have not noticed any power increse when accelerating, perhaps with other mods to increse hp this intake is best to take advantage of it's breathing ability over stock. It does look nice under hood and is priced fairly.

Badass looking, can actually feel my truck breathing better!! These guys were great and helped me ship to overseas address!! Am willing to spend all my money with Stage 3. Keep up the great customer service guys. DON’T do what I did and force the IAT sensor out of the tube. Take your time and be patient!!

2017 F-150 XLT
Really had to wrestle with it to get it in. Good product, sturdy, and well constructed. However, the fitment wasn't as advertised. The plexiglass window above the filter element also took quite a bit of manipulation to get it bolted on due to the holes not lining up with the intake box.

2016 F-150 2.7L EcoBoost
This intake was the best money I have spent on my truck so far! Not only did it arrive sooner than the excepted date, it came very well packed with hardware having their own bags to make things easier. Everything fit perfectly and the quality and finish is spectacular! Installation was also good and only took around an hour or so. There is a substantial difference in throttle response quickness and I have also seen a 1.4mpg increase as well! Would definitely recommend this intake to the influencer who wants to get their moneys worth.

Customer Question Does this have a hole for the MAF sensor right downstream of the new filter like the comparable Roush one does? I don't see it in any of the pictures.

Customer Answer Yep. This intake does have a provision for the factory IAT sensor. It's just relocated to the back side of the inlet tubing, due to how the split and curve are designed.

Customer Answer At most you'd probably see at most 10 to 15 peak horsepower with this intake and a retune.

Customer Question I have a 2017 f150 platinum, 3.5L Ecoboost. I purchased the CAI from stage 3 motor sports and have about 1,000 miles on the CAI. Today i got an error code P04db-Crankcase ventilation system. looking up on forums its states that its most likely from the CAI getting too much air. I see AFE has a metal rod they utilize to fix this error. By chance does S&B do the same?

Customer Answer Your first step needs to be to check all the kit's couplers and fittings and ensure proper fit and no air leaks, especially on the PCV line. If can't find anything obvious, give us a call directly at 623-434-5277 for further troubleshooting.

Customer Question How often does the filter need to be cleaned and oiled? What does one use to oil a filter like this?

Customer Answer S&B has their own Filter Cleaning Kit that comes with the correct oil. As to how often you need to maintenance the filter, it really depends on your climate, local dust levels, how you drive your truck, and how often you off-road. The filter tends to only require cleaning and maintenance when it's difficult to see the pores in the cotton media. Your best bet would be to check the filter every oil change so you can gauge how it's doing.

Customer Question Will I be able to hear those little turbos spool with this intake?

Customer Answer You're not going to really get much more of a turbo sound with an intake. You'll get some amount of an intake sucking sound (though more with one of the aFe dual-filter kits). For more turbo whine/spool, you'd need to do a set of downpipes, possibly a cat-back, and then get your truck a custom tune.

Customer Question What would be the best way to increase MPG on my 15 ecoboost with only bolt on parts to avoid waranty issues. I saw on the intakes that mpg increase is limited with ONLY cai, but what would yall recommend to add in addtion to increase MPG or most effective? Will get tuning done once warranty runs out.

Customer Answer An intake won't be of a ton of help when it comes to MPGs. In general, the best gains we've seen with an intake alone is .5 to a full MPG. The two best ways to increase MPGs without a tune is to use premium fuel and to just stay off the throttle.

Customer Answer 1). In general, basic bolt-on parts like cold air intakes won't have an effect on your vehicle's bumper-to-bumper or Powertrain Warranties. However, all warranty decisions are up to individual dealerships, so your best bet would be to talk to your service department directly. 2). Performance gains from an intake alone are fairly minimal, and you'll likely only get 10 horsepower or so at the crankshaft. 3). S&B has their own Precision II Cleaning Kit, though you could potentially use generic cleaning and oiling kits from other manufacturers, if need be.
