Less Restrictive Than Stock For Greater Performance

Upgrade from the stock intake on your 2017-2019 F250 or F350 6.7L with this open air intake from S&B. This intake is less restrictive than stock thanks to an innovative design. S&B created this intake to basically swap the location of the air intake and battery which allows the intake to be directly in line with the front air inlet. In order to make the swap quickly and easily they include a brand new battery tray as part of purchase. Part of it's construction also includes minimal bends getting to the turbo inlet that results in a lot less restriction than stock. This system also comes with what S&B advertises as their "biggest filter ever" to help protect their engine. This particular part number includes their Dry Cleanable filter that sits in a black powder coated steel cage which provides an extra layer of protection.

Easy Installation And Maintenance Process

As part of the design, the intake tube features a 6in x5.5in tube inlet that is much larger than the 4in inlet that is on the OEM intake tube. As part of the installation process, S&B also includes an innovative insert that helps to work with the MAF sensor parameters of a stock truck. S&B also wants to make it clear that "Removing this insert will cause your truck to drive poorly and possibly display a check engine light, as it will no longer conform to the stock calibration’s desired MAF readings". They also include a black zinc plated support bracket to stabilize the intake tube and filter assembly inside the engine bay. The support bracket contains a grommet which accepts a prong at the bottom of the tube, eliminating the need for hardware and allows for quick and easy filter maintenance.
