These running boards are my favorite after market item I have ever purchased. Quality is awesome and only took me 3 hours to install by my self with breaks. I was afraid they couldn't handle my fat ass but they are just as solid as the factory steps. Must have on any truck.

Awesome Product
Shipped fast, good price and best of all awesome steps. LED lighting matches all my other truck LEDs. Steps deploy on opening of the doors on either side independently. Quality of the kits is second to none, installed to me and a friend 2 hours from start to finish. BUY AMERICAN!!!

AMP research power running boards from Stage 3 are excellent quality overall. We installed in about 3 hours and left the steps at factory length (as they can be trimmed) and it gave the extended cab F150 a mean and functional look. Awesome product and order process was flawless and timely.

2014 F150 FX4 4x4 Tremor Regular Cab/Short box
Amp Research boards set the standard of power board. They actually are usable steps on your truck. Not the 3 from the floor of your truck. These drop down low to really make a difference getting in and out of your truck. Installation takes a little time, but look great when complete. I cut mine to the recommend 55for the regular cab trucks. Look and work great. Highly recommended from Stage 3. Fast Free Shipping also a big plus.

2013, Ford, F150 supercrew
stage3motorsports service outstanding... had the boards super quick within 3 days. This is my second set and I love the boards but, not without issue. First one of the motors did not have tapped screw holes (weird) so no threads! fortunately I had a tap and die set so 5 min fix easy enough. Second issue just a design flaw in my opinion. the boards should go front door seam to rear door seam and they don't. instructions say to line up to front door seam which leaves a bit of missing step to the rear. not a big deal just a couple of inches more would be nice maybe about 2 or 3.

I was impressed by the quality packaging when my steps arrived. Everything was straight forward with the exception of one wire color. On the right front door wire, look for light gray located further up in the harness. It's not really white like some of the others in the area. Other than that, install was a breeze and I love the steps. Thanks to Stage 3 for outstanding customer service.

Easy to install but instructions are poorly written. Amp Research included wrong wire harness and not enough hardware. Amp shipped correct harness quickly but frustrated with poor control of ensuring right parts and all the parts are in the box. For the price wrong parts and very poor installation instructions lower the rating. good product but items above need to be resolved by Amp Research.

Customer Question What is the over ride switch add on?

Asked by: Ed - 1/13/2020
Customer Answer The AMP Override Switch allows you to manually raise and drop the steps, regardless of whether your door is open or not. It's handy for off-roading and some job site purposes, but for everyday use it's not super-necessary.

Customer Question If I have factory power running boards can I replace them with these?

Asked by: Kazoo154 - 10/14/2019
Customer Answer You technically can, but the AMP Steps won't plug directly into the stock connector, and you'd need to follow AMP's wiring instructions to get them to work.

Customer Question Are these the plug and play option?

Asked by: Gabe Bauman - 1/19/2019
Customer Answer This particular part number is not, and will require tapping into your kick panel wiring. AMP's Plug-and-Play version is here.

Customer Question What is the difference between the AMP-76141-01A and the AMP-75141-01A running boards?

Asked by: MR B - 4/6/2018
Customer Answer These AMP-75141-01A AMP Power Steps are AMP's original versions and require tapping into your truck's kick panel wiring for operation. AMP's AMP-76141-01A Plug-and-Play Running Boards come with an OBD-II plug and do not require tapping the kick panel wiring. The actual steps and the motors are exactly the same between the two kits.

Customer Question Two Questions: Are the steps height adjustable or is there just one pre-set drop? Their website says about 13" from door sill to the top of the step for the F150 which seems high for a stock truck. Does the optional over-ride switch have an "off" setting so that the steps stay retracted when you open a door for cases where you are uncertain of ground clearance or obstructions right next to the door?

Asked by: Wes - 7/10/2017
Customer Answer The steps are not adjustable in regards to their deployment height. The override switch does have an "always up" setting that keeps the steps tucked whether your doors are open or not.

Customer Question Where can I get these in a chrome or stainless option? Have they been discontinued?

Asked by: Jeremey - 6/12/2016
Customer Answer The steps themselves are not available in a chrome or polished finish, unfortunately.

Customer Question The PowerStep is on my Ford F-150 Roush raptor, and they keep shorting out. Sometimes they will work, and other times they will not. Sometimes one side will work and the other will not. Any advice?

Asked by: J - 12/13/2015
Customer Answer Double-check all wiring connections and make sure none of the motor wiring is frayed or oxidized. Also ensure that the connector near the battery is properly seated. If you're still having trouble, give us a call directly at 1-877-578-2433 for further assistance.

Customer Question I have a crewcab XLT F150 2014; will these steps reach the length of my vehicle?

Asked by: Junior - 11/8/2015
Customer Answer The steps are designed for a SuperCrew F150, and only need to be cut shorter for other cab configurations.

Customer Question Will these fit my 2015 F150 SuperCrew and do you need any special tools to install yourself or is it better to have them installed. If so does anyone in Springfield, MO install them?

Asked by: Jeremy - 9/18/2015
Customer Answer They will not. The only kit that AMP currently has released for the 2015 F150s is their 2015 F150 Plug-and-Play System, which actually features a bit easier of an installation, given that you use an OBD-II plug rather than tying in wiring into your doors. No special tools are required, though it can be a bit of a physical installation. Really, any shop with an ASE Certified technician or two can easily handle the step install.

Asked by: Kari - 6/9/2015
Customer Answer Your best bet for a shipping quote to Hawaii is to call us directly at 1-877-578-2433, as shipping rates can change daily and there's several methods we could use, depending on the timeframe you need the steps.

Customer Question Just curious what the color of the LED lights are? Are they a cool blue color or more of a warm white color?

Asked by: Brandon - 6/4/2015
Customer Answer The lights that come with the steps are actually more of a yellow-whitish color, somewhere around a 4300K color temperature, if I were to hazard to guess. The black truck in the images above was also equipped with Rigid Industries A-Series Rock Lights which have a brilliant white color.
