F250 super duty
Just picked up product today box looked like it came out of a garbage bin. Box was patched up with packing tape and holes everywhere. And whats worst is small parts were lose and missing. Very dissapointing as Stage 3 dosen't ship to Canada so I drove 2hrs to my destination to get it!

2.5-3hrs to install. I watched a few videos prior to gain confidence. Very, very nice and very classy. Few notes though, make sure to route cables through proper hole to take them behind the fender liner on both sides (video looks like they dropped straight down), make sure you notice the black stripe on one of the purple wires before you hook to OBDII connector.

Did not take long to put on, very nice high quality boards. Keeps the no running board look, tucks up nice under the rockers. Keeps those great SD looks and functions flawlessly. Quite a bit faster operating than factor Ford boards.

Awesome looking steps and super easy install time compared to the 2011-16 Superduties. Shipping was quick and can't beat the pricing. Having the factory bolts to hang these steps made the wiring the hardest part. Even then, just make sure to run the wiring where it needs to go and then secure it in place. I highly recommend this product.

These steps are amazing. I purchased and received them in short order from Stage 3, and I watched their installation video prior to doing the install. Their video was very helpful. Install time took me about two and a half hours, taking my time and measuring things multiple times. I had one issue with a cross threaded bolt hole on the bracket, which was factory cross threaded. The instructions for the override switch from AMP are not very clear, but easy enough to figure out if you have done the normal install on the steps themselves.

Customer Question I have a 2018 F250 Lariat with existing power steps. I like that these deploy more than stock. Can these be installed using factory wiring?

Customer Answer Not without custom work and wiring, which we can provide no guidance on. Your best bet would be a standard setup with the included OBD-II plug.

Customer Question 2019 F350 crew cab can they be made to open when the rear doors open . I have kids I drop off at school and I don’t get out.

Customer Answer These steps will drop when either the front or rear doors open. The front doors do not have to be open for the steps to drop.

Customer Answer It will not fit with a step already installed. The arms and motors require the pinch weld locations to be clear.

Customer Question I have a super cab, any advice as far as trimming without it looking bad?

Customer Answer The steps themselves are aluminum and cut fairly easily, so you can technically cut them nearly anything. That being said, ideally, you'll have access to a table saw with a good metal-cutting blade to get the cleanest and straightest cut. However, we've had guys cut them with everything from reciprocating saws to hack saws with success. It really depends on your tool access versus how much misery you're willing to endure.

Customer Question Do these power steps hang lower than the normal running boards that came on my Super Duty?

Customer Answer These power steps drop significantly lower than the factory Super Duty steps when the doors open. However, with the doors closed, the steps tuck up more flush and higher than the factory steps.

Customer Answer You would need AMP's Pass-Through harness, which has been confirmed to work on the 2017-2018 Super Dutys, according to AMP.

Customer Question I know these are intended for crew cabs. But how long are the actual step boards? Will they fit a super cab and just be a bit long and extend and the extra length will just act as a step for to bed? Are there any plans for a super cab specific model?

Customer Answer Out of the box, the steps are designed to fit SuperCrew models. However, they can fit SuperCab and Regular Cab models by trimming the running boards themselves, which is less difficult than it sounds. You would not be able to install them on a SuperCab truck untrimmed, since the board would protrude into the front wheel well.

Customer Question Is there an added cost for the Pass-thru OBD-II plug? If so how much? I ask because I have an Edge Insight that must be plugged in to the OBD II port as well.

Customer Answer AMP's Pass-Through Harness is not included as a standard part of this PowerStep part number. The Pass-Through Harness is available separately here.
