The Plug-And-Play Pass Through Harness provides an additional port at the connection point. This AMP Research Plug & Play Pass Through Harness will allow you to plug in a diagnostic device, or a performance tuner, into your OBD-II port in conjunction to the AMP Plug & Play module. 2015 F150 XLT Supercab 4x4

Works very nice and does what is says it will do. One slight problem on 2015 and newer. The factory OBD port assembly is wider than the one provided in this harness and will not bolt up to the factory location without a little ingenuity. Don't let this stop you from buying it. It's still a great product.

2016 Ford F-150 XLT 4x4

I'm very happy Stage3motorsports.com had this harness in stock. It plugged right in , and it did its job, and being made by amp research it's very high quality, way better than I taught it would be. People, trust me it's worth every penny, just order it, it's amazing, very simple install. Also coming from Stage3 I knew it would be of high quality, I ordered other things from these guys, everything I've gotten from them is the best of the best at very fair prices!!!

2015 Ford F150

This makes install super easy. My only complaint is that the new OBD port doesn't fit the screws on the F150. The new port mounting holes are not as wide as what is in the F150. A zip tie fixed that issue. Other than that this is a great product.

2016 F150 Super Crew Lariat FX4

This plugged into the factory OBDII port as designed but I had to fabricate a bracket to fit between the new OBDII pass thru harness and the underside of the dash. The studs in the factory location (Under dash) was wider that the harness. I am not sure if the harness was the issue or this item does not fit a 2016 F150 as indicated.

Does this allow 2015/2016 to access the step options on the OE screen? Like Ford steps do?

It does not. This pass-through harness only allows you to use AMP's plug-and-play power steps in conjunction with aftermarket tuners and monitors, and will not add OEM-style step functionality to your truck.

What do I need for a 2012 f 350 to make the plug and play work. I already have the port ODB port used?

If you have AMP's Plug-and-Play Steps, but already have the OBD-II port being used by another device, then this Pass-through harness is what you need.

I bought a set of amp steps used from a friend, so I'm not sure exactly how old that are or the actual part number. Will the plug and play harness work with any set of amp steps? I have a 2008 ford super duty 6.4 crew cab. I know the amp steps fit my truck bc they came off of a 2010 ford superduty just like mine. Also, just to be clear, the actual purpose of the plug and play harness is to be able to connect the steps directly into the trucks obd plug, so I don't have to tap into the wiring harness at each door under the door seal and then drill and run a wire to and from each door correct? Will I still have to drill or how does the harness connect to the steps? Thanks so much for your time guys. I hope my questions are not too terrible confusing! Thank you!!

This is not a Plug-and-Play Harness for older versions of AMP steps. This harness is designed for AMP's newer Plug-and-Play AMP steps to allow folks who have dashboard monitors to use their OBD-II Port for both the steps and their monitor of choice. Your steps likely need to be wired into the door wiring for proper operation. Your best bet would be to give us a call directly at 1-877-578-2433 so we can verify the part number of your steps so we can figure out what you need to do.
