Do the xl extreme come with the dual motors on each step?

Looking at the installation instructions from AMP, this part number comes with 2 motors, so it would be a single motor on each side.

had these installed but when the boards retract up the arms are hitting the frame on both the driver and passenger side. any suggestions? are there any adjustments i can make? thanks for the help

Your best bet would be to double-check the alignment of the mounting brackets and the arms relative to the frame rails. If you don't see anything odd there, make sure that the U-nuts used for the pinch weld mounts are fully seated or superfluous due to your truck already having U-nuts installed from other running boards. If neither of these things are an issue, give us a call directly at 623-434-5277 for further troubleshooting.

Is dis plug-and-play or have to wire up ?

The System is mostly plug and play. Minor amounts of splicing and crimping are required for the LED lights included in the kit, but the steps, motors, and main OBD-II wiring are all plug-and-play.

I understand that these can't replace the factory power running boards, but do these work are rock rails when retracted? Any recommendations on power running boards that work as rock rails as well?

While this kit's rail is actually pretty stout, the steps themselves are made out of aluminum, and it's likely that you'd end up tearing them up if you were to use the system as a true rock-rail. Unfortunately, there's not really an alternative when it comes to rock guards with a powered step function.

can this running board be used with first running board to help give a better drop to get in f150? to make it easy to get in because I have bad knees

If you mean in conjunction with the factory running boards, then no, unfortunately. The AMP steps require the use of the factory step mounts and the area where they tuck against the sides of the body interfere with the placement of the factory steps. Give us a call directly at 1-877-578-2433 so we can get more specific with what you need and find you a middle ground between the AMP steps and the factory steps.
