I bought this item from stage3 and love it. The sound is deep and powerful. I would give it a 9 out of 10 only bc the black tips have this tiny screw to hold it onto the pipe. It's not a secure as it could be using clamps. The muffler shop recommended two little spot welds to really make it secure.

THE SOUND IS AWESOME! THE SOUND INSIDE THE TRUCK IS AMAZING AS WELL! I was not disappointed one bit. So far, I am not regretting my purchase one bit! My only complaint is the bolts that come on the tips! I would recommend getting new bolts or having them wielded on! I would recommend this exhaust kit to anyone that wants a loud and aggressive exhaust!

This exhaust is mean! Insanely loud so definitely not for the faint, but the loud is beautiful. Everything bolted on as it was supposed to, just a straightforward swap. Only complaint was the included clamps. They dont tighten worth a damn, so I went to the hardware store ans bought some better rated ones. If your looking for the loudest and meanest sounding cat-back, then this is for you!

Customer Question I don't want the black tips but I see Flowmaster makes polished tips. It is OEM part number 15363, Exhaust Tip - 3.50 in. Rolled Angle Polished SS Fits 3.00 in. Tubing - clamp on. Would this work in place of the black tips?

Asked by: Matthew - 2/1/2021
Customer Answer In theory, any 3" inlet polished tip would work on this kit, though you would need to purchase them separately. This kit is only available with Black Tips out of the box.

Customer Question Does this system use the pre-existing sensors? I would not like a check engine light.

Asked by: Megatron - 7/30/2019
Customer Answer F150 cat-back systems do not have any sensors. You will not throw a CEL by installing a cat-back system alone.

Customer Question Will this fit on a 2013 F-150 single cab

Asked by: Dalton - 6/13/2019
Customer Answer It will. This kit will fit a standard cab/regular cab F150 with an 8ft bed without needing any trimming. However, a standard cab 6.5ft bed truck will require trimming of the kit's inlet pipe for proper fitment.

Customer Question Do these only come with black tips or can you get chrome tips as an option? If, not can you opt to not have tips included with this setup?

Asked by: Paul - 10/17/2017
Customer Answer Unfortunately, the Outlaw system is only available with black tips as standard. Other exhaust tips much be purchased separately. You can find our selection of tips here.

Customer Question Is this exhaust system Weld on or clamp? What about the Borla Atak Welders or clamp?

Asked by: DAVID - 2/13/2017
Customer Answer Neither the Outlaw system nor the Borla ATAK Kit require welding. Both are clamp-on systems.

Customer Question Does this exhaust rumble when being still because I want a really loud one inside the cab and outside but in some vids it shows the Borla ATAK being still no rev and it's quite I was wondering if this one is loud when not rev?

Asked by: Eric - 12/26/2016
Customer Answer The Outlaw kit has a pretty noticeable sound while at idle. However, it's still not super-loud, due to the fact that the F150s have a pretty low forced idle, and there's not really a cat-back out there that's going to be really loud solely at idle.

Customer Question I have a 2013 f150 with a 6.2 . I want the flowmaster outlaw kit. I know that it will not fit by reading some of the questions asked on here. You say the inlet pipe is too small for the 6.2 f150. Are you referring to the connection where the resonator attaches? If so would it be possible to cut my stock resonator and weld it to the flowmaster kit? Is the pipe the same diameter ? Any help would be greatly appreciated , thanks .

Asked by: Matt - 2/29/2016
Customer Answer That's basically correct. The flange connection for the mid-pipe necks down to fit the factory mid-pipes of the 5.0L, 5.4L, and 4.6L V8 trucks, which are all smaller than the 6.2L V8s. See this image here for reference. While I'm not certain if chopping off the resonator connection and welding it to the Outlaw kit would work, the Outlaw's inlet tubing is 3" in diameter after it necks up from the flange, and the Outlaw kit will require trimming to fit on wheelbases smaller than 163". It would be fairly trivial for a decent exhaust shop to trim the inlet tubing down to length by cutting off the flange, and then putting in one that would fit your 6.2L's mid-pipe.

Customer Question How is it that this system is cross compatible between the 5.4 and 5.0 but yet a 5.0 exhaust wont work with a 5.4? does it come with multiple front pipes that connect to the y pipe and you just use the one for your engine or is it something else? if it does include multiple front pipes, is it possible to just order the one for the 5.4?

Asked by: c - 2/23/2016
Customer Answer Flowmaster uses a mid-pipe connection flange that allows the system to be installed on both the 2009-2010 F150 5.4L and 4.6Ls, as well as the 2011-2014 F150 5.0Ls.

Customer Question I have a 2011 Ford F-150 Ecoboost. I was told that this kit would work on my truck. Will I get the same sound as the 2015 outlaw kit for the 2015 F150 Ecoboost truck?

Asked by: Braden - 2/11/2016
Customer Answer It will fit, and it will have a similar sound to the Outlaw system available for the 2015-2016 F150s. However, this kit is extremely aggressive and does have a high pitch and good amount of drone on the EcoBoost F150s, and is not one that is generally recommended for those trucks. Still, this is probably one of the most aggressive and loudest kits available, and if that's what you're going for, then all the power to you. Regardless, I would strongly suggest a different option, depending on the sound you want.

Asked by: Nick - 2/4/2016
Customer Answer Yep. This cat-back kit will fit 2009-2010 F150s with a 5.4L V8, as well as a 4.6L V8.

Customer Question I have a 2013 F-150 Supercrew FX4 6.2L V8, I'm wondering will this exhaust work for my truck? Thank you.

Asked by: Ryan - 8/26/2015
Customer Answer The kit will not bolt-on out of the box to the F150's with the 6.2L V8s. You would need an exhaust shop to modify the tubing that attaches to the mid-pipe (and possibly other custom modifications) to get it to fit.

Customer Question I'm planning on either getting these or the Borla Ataks very soon, but I can't really decide which to go with. I understand that these have more drone than the Borla's do, but is it unbearable? Also, which of these two exhausts has the deeper sound?

Asked by: Ross - 12/16/2014
Customer Answer It's bearable, if you're used to loud V8s. I wasn't a huge fan of cruising around with this kit on it, but a couple of the other guys in the office loved it. The Borla has a lower pitch and a deeper sound (not by much), but the volume on the Outlaw kit is much louder.

Customer Question Will this item fit on a 2014 F-150 FX4 with a 6.2L?

Asked by: William Edwards - 10/31/2014
Customer Answer This kit will not fit F150s with a 6.2L, according to Flowmaster. The flange diameter of the inlet tube is too small for the 6.2L F150's mid-pipe. That being said, a competent exhaust shop could probably modify this kit to fit your truck, if you're dead-set on getting it.

Customer Question Is the 2012 f150 flowmaster outlaw cat back exhaust system, straight piped? Is it a legal muffler?

Asked by: Dust - 7/10/2014
Customer Answer The kit is street-legal for emissions purposes. If your city, county, province, or whatever else has strict noise ordinances, you may have some problems.
