Customer Question Are these shocks similar in performance to the OE rear shocks on Gen 1 Raptor? They look alike externally. Also, is the nub on the bottom of the reservoir a Schrader valve for nitrogen charge?

Customer Answer They're similar in design, though the original Raptor 2.5s do have more travel and are longer to handle the Raptor's different rear end setup. Overall off-road performance, general handling, and ride quality are pretty similar, if you're comparing a new set of Raptor 2.5s with these F150 Fox 2.5s.

Customer Question Are these rebuildable like the ford raptor svt shocks?? And does this apply to all fox shocks? 2.0??

Customer Answer Both the Fox 2.0s and the Fox 2.5s are rebuildable, though you'll have to get them rebuilt by Fox or a Fox-authorized suspension shop.

Customer Question These say they can handle 2" of lift in the rear. Then it also states that they can handle up to a 3" block in the rear. So technically, will these work with the BDS 4" coilover kit that comes with a 3" rear block?

Customer Answer BDS's 4" Suspension Lift Kits almost always come with a 4" rear block, which would add 2.5" of net lift to the rear of your truck and is too much for these shocks to technically handle. If you do get your BDS kit customized to either come with a 3" rear block or a 2" rear block and a 1.5" add-a-leaf, then you could potentially use these rear shocks.

Customer Answer There's no reason why you couldn't. Your rear suspension would just out-perform your front, but you wouldn't have any issues.

Customer Question Will these shocks accommodate a 1 1/2 add a leaf lift along with increasing the rear blocks to the 2.5" blocks feom the factory 1.5" blocks? That would be 2.5" of total lift. I noticed that the BDS lift kit that uses a 4" rear block has a fox shock option, so I assume fox has rear shocks that can handle 2.5-4" of lift.

Customer Answer According to Fox, these shocks can only handle up to a 1.5" lift. Fox does not currently make a 2.5 rear shock that can handle what's equivalent to a 4" lift kit. Currently, the only shock option that could handle that height is the BDS Fox 2.0 Rear shock for 4" Lift Kits.

Customer Question How do these compare against The FOX 2.0 IFP shocks? Why the massive price difference? I am debating which ones to put on my '15 F-150 4x4. Thanks

Customer Answer The 2.5 Factory Series Shocks are designed for off-road performance, rather than being a balanced performance shock like the standard Fox 2.0s. The 2.5s (as their name implies) are 2.5" in diameter, have more aggressive valving, and have a built-in piggyback reservoir that all kick up their price over the 2.0s. As far as ride goes, the 2.5s will likely be fairly stiff on road while being much more capable off-road than the standard 2.0s. The Fox 2.0s have a nice on-road ride and offer a huge improvement in ride quality while having very good off-road performance, though not as good as the Fox 2.5s.

Customer Question Will this 2.5 fox factory series affect to much my f150 when I am using it for a normal day at the city street. Is going to affected in a positive or negative ways ?

Customer Answer 2.5 shocks and coilovers tend to stiffen up your on-road ride by a good margin in exchange for pretty awesome off-road performance. If you want to maintain a good street ride while still getting improved handling performance both on and off road, you should take a look at either the Fox 2.0 rear shocks or the F150Lifts BOSS Rear Shocks.

Customer Question Are these available for 6" lifts? If so, what's the lead time & price difference?

Customer Answer We do not currently have a fitment confirmation on Fox 2.5 Piggybacks for 6" lift kits. We do, however, have a confirmation for Fox 2.0s with Remote Reservoirs for 6" Lifts, if you wanted to go an alternative route.
