Speedometer Info: Changing your Mustang's gear ratio will throw off your speedometer calibration. An SCT Handheld Tuner can correct this.

Pinion Bearing:In 2010, Ford changed the rear pinion bearing in their 8.8 rear end. This means, the rear pinion bearing include in this install kit will NOT work with your 2010+ Mustang. The correct rear pinion bearing is Ford Part #9L3Z-4630-A and can be order through your local auto supply store.

Yep. The IRS Cobras still have a Ford 8.8" rear end and can take the gears and install kit.

does tis fit a 2007 Roush?

The kit technically will, however, most Roush Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3 Mustangs came from Roush with either 3.73 or 4.10 gears, so you should double-check before ordering.

everything I heard from inquiries has me convinced that this setup is ideal for the 4.6 with auto trans otherwise stock. Your opinion please?

It really depends on what your doing, but for most folks trying to squeeze out some extra acceleration from the automatic Mustangs, these gears are a good bet, especially if you're languishing with 3.27s or 3.33s. Still, your car will take a fuel economy hit and will be shifting a lot in traffic, so it's not all roses. However, the off-the-line performance is usually worth it for most people. That being said, 3.73s are also not a terrible choice, and you'll take less of a fuel economy and drivability hit.

Hello, curious if you can help me, I'm changing from 3.55LS to 4.10 gears in my 2002 f150 xlt 4.6, I know I need these gears to change the rear end but it is a 4wd and I'm not sure what to do in the front? If you had the parts Id get them

Motive's 4.10 8.8" IFS Gears are here, and you will need them for installation on your truck's front end.

I have a 2010 f150 4x4 with what appears to be an 8.8 inch rear end. (10 bolts on cover) is there any reason this kit won't fit my truck? Why is it that I don't see any 8.8 gears listed for my year and model?

Most 2010 F150s came with a 9.75" rear end, especially if they were 4WD. However, it is possible that some 4.2L V6 and 4.6L V8 F150s for that year came with 8.8" rear ends. Your best bet would be to give us a call directly at 1-877-578-2433 so we can verify your rear end and drive ratio.

Okay. I have no idea what size rear end I have. It's a completely stock 94 3.8 5 speed. Will this work in my rear end?

Older V6 Mustangs came from the factory with 7.5" rear ends, and if your Mustang is still equipped with one, then this kit will not work. You'll need to verify your Mustang's rear end before ordering.

Yep. This kit will work on the 1999-2004 SVT Cobras with an IRS.

They can. However, 1996 F150s with 4WD could come with either an 8.8" or 9.75" rear differential, and this kit only fits 8.8" rear ends. You'll need to verify your F150's rear end before ordering.
