Customer Question Does Rough Country specify why these will only fit V10 gas and 6.7l Diesel models? Is it just because of the spring rate being heavier? Weight on the 6.2l/7.3l motors is within 100lbs of the V10 and as far as I know Ford doesnt have separate part numbers for their own replacement parts, just the different spring rates (some are even offered on both engines). For background Im adding a Ranch hand full replacement bumper (~350lbs) to my '21 F250 with a 7.3l and want to go with a slightly heavier spring to offset the weight and level it out a little without going with a ful 2.5-3" suspension system (which seems to be the only option for the new trucks if you dont want to run a spacer).

Customer Answer It's my understanding that it is purely a weight issue, and that the 6.2L and 7.3L trucks will get significantly more ride height out of these springs than what they're rated for. Granted, that may not be a bad thing, depending on what you're going for, especially if you're adding a hefty bumper, but we cannot guarantee you what kind of ride height you'll end up with.

Customer Question I understand these springs will not completely level a 17’ pick up, but my question is, do these springs actually give the 1.5” of extra clearance up front to a 17’ Super Duty? Thanks

Customer Answer These springs add up to 1.5" of ride height. Exact ride height varies on a lot of factors, including mods that add front weight (i.e. winch mounts, front bumpers, etc.), wear and tear on your stock suspension (which may actually cause you to ride higher), and other factors.

Customer Question When using this spring, how do you recenter the axle to its original location?

Customer Answer In general, a 1.5" level will not generally shift your axle position overly much. However, you could use a track bar bracket or an adjustable track bar to completely re-center your front axle.

Customer Question I have a 2018 F350 with a Fisher 8'6" snow plow, will these spring be able to hold the plow? The plow weighs just under 1000 pounds

Customer Answer They'll be able to hold the plow, but you likely won't get much of a ride height gain, due to the extra weight of the plow package, much less the plow, which will get in the way of your tire clearance. You'd probably want to pick a different leveling kit if you want to maintain a consistent ride height. Give us a call directly at 623-434-5277 to find a leveling kit that will work with your truck.

Customer Answer These springs will not make your truck "dead-level", and you should still have some rake.

Customer Answer According to Rough Country, these springs have a 1830lb weight rating each, a 495lb-in spring rate, and are 20-11/16" long.

Customer Question will these springs offset the front tires? Would you recommend a track bar relocation bracket? Any additional parts need to complete the kit?

Customer Answer Technically speaking, any amount of front leveling throws off axle position to some extent, though at only 1.5" of leveling, it would be extremely slight. If it does bother you, you can always get a track bar bracket or adjustable track bar, but one is not strictly required.
