Large-Diameter Shock Body with Piggyback Reservoir

Each one of ICON's 2.5 VS Series Rear Shocks was designed from the ground up to give your 2004-2026 F150 improved response and greatly reduce fade over stock and more standard IFP replacement shocks. Each 2.5 VS Series shock has a massive 2.5" diameter body that's made out of high-quality aluminum which greatly improves heat dissipation over standard steel shocks. The large diameter of the shocks allows for a large oil capacity that's made even greater by the VS Series Piggyback reservoirs which further improve heat dissipation and resistance. These shocks are perfect for applications and situations with extreme and consistent articulation of your truck's rear suspension and won't let you down in the most extreme applications. The shocks bolt-on right in place of stock and come with hardware and instructions.

Will not fit F150s with CCD: these shocks will not fit or function on F150s with Ford's optional Continuous Control Damping (CCD) system. Please verify whether or not your F150 is equipped with CCD before ordering.

2011 f150 3.5

These do not fit if you have Firestone Air bags. The piggy back will hit the mounting bracket for the air bags. I found out the hard way. For a few hundred more dollars and a few more hours of work Icon does offer custom hoses to be made to retro fit this rear piggy back set up into a remote reservoir set up. I went this rout. After going through this i may have chosen King or Fox 2.5 piggy backs for the rear as their reservoir rides much higher and looks like it would have cleared the mounting hardware for the air bags. Shocks do ride nice. I previously had Bilstein 5100's and those were fine. I guess with air bags you wont notice to much of a performance difference when spending money on fancy shocks. I plan on getting Dever rear spring in the coming months.

Will the reservoir interfere with a wheel well liner?

That somewhat depends on the wheel well liner. I don't believe there's issues with OEM wheel well liners or similar designs that stay fairly high. These shocks can come into contact with Husky's wheel liners, but that can usually be resolved with fairly minor trimming.

About how much rear lift can these handle?

According to ICON, these shocks can handle up to 2" of rear lift.

I have Fox 2.0's on my rear right now and Icon 2.5's up front. When going 35+ on close washboard my rear and starts getting tossed while the front pushes right through. I want my rears to be able to handle it better, so my question is, will these take fast washboard on roads a lot better than the fox, or is it something that can't be helped?

Some of that rear instability is going to depend on the rest of your rear suspension setup to some extent. Larger rear blocks tend to exacerbate axle wrap, to some extent, so if you're lifting with a block, you may want to consider getting add-a-leafs instead. That being said, a set of 2.5 rear shocks can help, especially if the roads your driving are really rough.

I am looking for a rear sock with reservoir to improve my 5" rough country lift on my 2015 f150. Is this shock going to fit the 5" lift? If not, is there a good rear shock to replace the OEM shock that comes with the lift kit?

This shock will not be long enough to adequately handle a 5" lift kit. You may want to consider BDS's Fox 2.0 Rear Shock for 6" Lift Kits, Fox 2.0 Remote Reservoir Shock for 6" Lift Kits, or Fox's 2.0 Remote Reservoir with CD Adjuster for 6" Lift Kits, all of which should be able to work with your 5" Lift kit without any issues.
