Improved Rear Suspension Performance and Articulation

The F150's factory rear shocks really can't handle performance off-road applications, especially on trucks with front leveling kits or other hardware. Heavy articulation and long wheel travel push them beyond their valving and can cause problems. This pair of FOX 2.0 aluminum-body rear shocks will replace your 2009 to 2018 F150's rear shocks and make your rear suspension just as ready for the trail as your truck's front end. Each of these 2.0 FOX shocks can easily handle an extra 1" of lift on your truck's rear and were carefully designed to improve articulation, wheel travel, and heat dissipation which makes them one of the best and least-expensive off-road shocks out there.

Aluminum Shocks with Specialized Piston and Valving

Each shock features a body and mounts that are made from 6061-T6 billet aluminum to dissipate heat much more efficiently than standard steel shock absorbers. This helps keep fade minimal under heavy articulation. The shocks both have a high-flow Internal Floating Piston (IFP) design built inside a chrome-plated and heat-treated steel shaft with specially tuned valving that gives them impressive performance and response. They also have high-quality redundant seals that help improve reliability in aggressive applications and off-road driving. The shock installs directly in place of your stock shock making for simple installation.

Drivetrain Fitment: This pair of FOX Shocks will only fit 2009-2018 Ford F150 2WD trucks. A set of shocks for four wheel drive F150s is also available.

2016 Ford Fi50 XLT 2WD

I did the installation at home. I compressed the shock by hand by putting one end on the floor and putting my weight on the other end. I used a piece of scrap strapping material to hold it from expanding. The strapping needs to be wide enough to not slip off the curved ends of the shock. I placed timber blocks under the trailer hitch and adjusted the axle up or down with a floor jack as necessary to match the length of the compressed shock, doing one side at a time. I like the new ride much better than the stock shocks. It is a firmer ride when not loaded and all of the slop and sway is gone when hauling a load.

Huge difference after 30 minutes installed!! No more bounce and dog shaking off water ride. Saving up for the front Fox 2.0s!! Which I will get through STAGE3!

2016 F150 2wd Supercrew

These are what the truck should have come with! They keep the rear planted and even with a 4 inch flip kit I no longer hit the bump stops. Great shocks!

2017 F150 supercrew 2wd

The install took about 45 minutes. The hardest part of the installation was compressing the shocks to get them in the mounting bracket. The ride quality is 100% better than stock and the rearend doesn't get out of shape on washboard roads. These shocks are a must not only for the ride but also safety.

F150

Upgraded to these from the shocks the previous owner of my truck had put on. I believe the last set were Reflex shocks and they bounced the rear end of the truck all over the road when going over bumps. Would definitely recommend if you are willing to spend a little more getting these. The ride is harder but they provide a much more planted feel to your trucks handling.

2011. Ford, F150 3.5l

Great shocks. Much higher quality than the OE Monroe units. A little stiff at lower speeds but great for cruising. Feels like you're flying.

2015 Ford F150 SuperCrew 4X4

Removed the lift blocks and use the 2WD version on my 4WD truck. The ride improvement was immediately noticeable both on and off road, less bounce and smoother ride. First rear shocks I've ever use on any of my trucks that made a difference for both on and off road. Just wish Fox had a strut replacement version for the front.

Fox has discontinued this particular part number and has updated these shocks with fitments for both 4WD and RWD F150s.
