2017 F350
I purchased these for my leveled 2017 F350 that came with the standard (non-fx4) shocks and no other upgrades such as the snow ploaw package or HD springs. My goal was to improve ride quality for daily driving as well as increase ride quality while driving off-road through pot holes and such. After install, I have noticed almost NO improvement in ride quality over OEM shocks and have been very dissapointed. I can't say for sure if it's the Fox shocks themselves or the valving that BDS has done to them? All I can tell is that the shocks have not improved the ride to any noticeable extent. Another issue I have is that these shocks nearly bottom out with normal rough driving on paved roads. I used a tight zip-tie attatched to the shaft to monitor the compression stroke and have noticed the shock nearly bottoms out with on-road potholes and leaves about 3/8 stroke remaining and this is just street driving. I have not figured out how to address this as of yet and I can conclude that when taken off road these will bottom out frequently with my vehicle. FWIW I have 1k miles on these and installed them two weeks ago with no extra payload present. Good luck.

I have a 2017 f350,FX4, with Rancho shocks. I installed a Rough Country 2 leveling kit. The ride was a little jarring on bumps and rough roads. After doing some research, I purchased the Fox 2.0 front shocks from Stage 3 Motor Sports. It took me about 30 min./ shock to install. I didn't even have to remove the tires. The ride is awesome. A definite improvement and they look great. I will be getting a set for the rear.

Replaced broken Rancho 9000’s ( less than a year old) with these Fox shocks and fixed all issues. Doesn’t throw the truck in the other lane when it hits a pot hole. Ride is smooth off road too! Handles real good pulling a trailer or ripping down the dirt roads. Good product. Will be getting more for the rest of our F350’s.

I have been running Fox Shocks on my trucks for a while now, and really like them. The new Super Duty’s are big, heavy trucks. These Fox shocks are the perfect upgrade for the anemic stock shocks that Ford puts on these from the factory.

My truck has 32,000 miles on it and I never liked the ride. These shocks, plus the rears, improved the ride dramatically. Amazing really. I would also like to thank Mark, with Stage3. There was a mix up in shipping and I was shorted a shock right before I was leaving on a trip. This was during COVID and right before Christmas. Mark had the shock to me in 24 hours, when it should have been impossible. Great business and great people.

Install was super easy. I decided to muscle them into position which wasn't too hard. Much improved over the stock Rancho shocks. Much better quality than OEM shocks.

Customer Question What's the difference between these BDS tuned shocks to the $339 shocks from Fox/ non BDS? how much different is the tuning and which would you recommend? Thanks

Asked by: carlos andrade - 9/24/2020
Customer Answer The only slight difference between the two is sizing and stroke, which is why they have marginally different ride height ratings. Other than that, they're essentially the same shock.

Customer Question Will these work with a 2.5 inch leveled f250?

Asked by: Kevin - 6/15/2020
Customer Answer This shock is only rated for 2" of lift. Your better bet would be the Fox 2.0s for 2-3.5" of Leveling.

Customer Question Will these work if my truck is stock height? Would these be suitable for mostly highway and city driving?

Asked by: Mike - 2/13/2018
Customer Answer Yep. These shocks are designed for Super Dutys at 0" (stock ride height) to 2" worth of leveling. The Fox 2.0 shocks ride extremely well on the street and highway, despite their off-road pedigree.

Customer Question Will these shocks work on a stock 2 wheel drive 2018 super duty super cab 6.2 gas?

Asked by: Woody Harnell - 2/12/2018
Customer Answer These shocks are specifically designed for a 4WD truck. While you can bolt them up to an RWD Super Duty, we can't guarantee how well they'll perform or ride.

Customer Question HI, Will those shocks fit 2017 F250 after I do 2.5" leveling kit? Please let me know, thanks.

Asked by: kris - 9/25/2017
Customer Answer These shocks are the same ones that BDS uses for the 2" leveling kit, and should be able to handle a 2.5" leveling kit without any issues.

Customer Question Will these work with a Readylift 2.5 being out of spec by a half inch?

Asked by: Ryan - 8/31/2017
Customer Answer Keep in mind that the ReadyLift kit comes with shock extensions, and as long as you use these shocks with the included extensions, you shouldn't have a problem.

Customer Question I got a pro Comp 3 and a half inch leveling kit on my truck Will these shocks work with the added 3 and a half inches up front and will the rears work as well?

Asked by: Zack - 8/5/2017
Customer Answer These shocks will only work at 0-2" of ride height. If you're adding 3.5" of lift to your F150's front end, you'll need BDS's Fox 2.0s for 4" Lifts.

Answer provided by: Jason@Stage3 (8/8/2017)

Customer Question Are these suitable for both gas and diesel trucks? With the diesel trucks being heavier up front, I wasn't sure if these are valved differently than what one would want for a 6.2 gas truck application.

Asked by: Mark - 6/29/2017
Customer Answer According to BDS, these shocks will work for both diesel and gasoline-powered trucks. In general, 2.0s have enough leeway in their valving for multiple applications.
