I got these to replace the horrid white body Fabtech rear shocks, and I couldn't be any more pleased. The white body shocks rode absolutely terrible, but the Fox 2.0s smoothed it right out, and the truck rides like a dream now! Highly recommended for ANY 6 kit!

I have a 2014 Fx4 with RC 6'' lift. The shocks that came with the kit are very stiff and make the rear end skip over bumps in the road. The new Fox shocks installed in 1hr and made a big difference in ride. Much softer ride and I maintain road contact over the same areas I would skip over before. Now to save up for the front Fox struts to complete the setup.

Night and day difference! No more ass end vibrations at all! I 100% advise this most cost effective upgrade if done. Saving up for the coilovers now. Install time 20 minutes by myself with tires on. Put bottom in first it will be easier.

Had some blown bds shocks in the rear of my truck with a 6 inch lift had to find a replacement, fox 2.0 shocks was a natural choice well made product built super tough, definitely Improved handling in the rear very noticeable difference , very happy with the product.

The truck had a 6 suspension lift when I got it, but they did not change from the stock shocks. Dealership wanted $500 to put slightly better than stock shocks on it. This was the easiest installation. Took about 6 min per side. One thing to watch out for is they they extend with about 20 to 30 lbs of force, but I was able to re-compress them with just my hands. I recommend putting the lower bolts in first, then cut the retaining strap. All in all, great product, easy installation.

I bought these to replace the shocks that came with my lift. I wanted shocks that I could mount barrel up because it looks better sticking up above the tire. These shocks look great and the performance of them is a bonus. Straightforward and easy to install.

I removed the Rough Country shocks I bought with my lift kit, rhose shocks were shot in less than 4 months. I only went offroading 2 times and nothing crazy. O installed these amd went for a test drive and you can feel the difference by 100%, and I am not the type to exagerate.

Install was about 40 minutes total with the help of a friend. Metal roads that go through the bushings are different lengths for the top and the bottom so just be careful of that. Lube or grease did not come with my package so I used a reagular can of bearing grease I got from autozone and it worked great!

This is a great product! It is worth the investment. They provide a smooth ride and absorbs hard impacts very well. This is the best performing shock I have ever used on a 4x4 truck. Install time for 2 rear shocks was approximately 30 minutes. Very simple application

The white shocks from Pro Comp ride worse than my old 3500 diesel without a load. These Fox 2.0 gave my 6 inch Pro Comp lifted new truck the ride it should have in the rear. I wish I had the money to get coilovers in the front. However the stock black shocks with the 6 inch spacer ride tolerable. My back, kids and wife now don't complain about the bumpy ride!

Purchased the Fox 2.0 shocks to replace the Rough Country shocks that came with the 6” lift, that were overly stiff which caused the rear end to pogo down the highway, even had the rear end kick out thru a turn once after a bump... The Fox 2.0 shocks REALLY smoothed out the rear end. Install was 10 minutes. Body up looks great. I would suggest putting bottom bolt in first then cutting retention band. Very happy with the shocks, and even passengers notice the difference.

Install was super easy, took about 30mins for both sides. I have 75k miles on my truck and not sure how old the lift shocks were but it's a night and day difference now. Can't wait to order coilovers for the front!!

I can definitely tell a difference from the rough country shocks I had. You still feel bumps but not nearly has bad and much smoother of a ride. Easy install, if you have rear fender liners you will need to remove those. When installing bolt the bottom on first with the band still attached. Line up the shock to extend into the top mount. Cut the band and allow to extend, have bolt ready to install in top. Once lined up, slide the bolt through. Seriously the easiest way to install.

Fox Shocks 982-24-760 failed immediately upon purchasing truck. Dealership had distributor who installed BDS 6" Lift kit and shocks replace with Fox Shocks 982-24-760 and FAILED AGAIN. THIRD TIME: Distributor installed Fox Shocks 982-24-760 and FAILED YET A THIRD TIME. Very Disappointed.

I have a Zone 6" lift and had Bilsteins rears (w/resiviors) and my truck bounced all over the road, even over small bumps. Went with these and ride is like night and day! Performs over and above the previous shocks. Much smoother ride, by far! If you have a 6" lift, buy them, you won'y be disipointed.

I've dealt with a vibration in my truck since I bought it new. The truck came premiered by the dealer so my thoughts were they had done everything right I've blamed the tires the wheels and every other component on the truck. Finally decided to spend the money on the fox 2.0 to see if it'd help and to my surprise all the vibration is gone and my truck rides like it should I will definitely be spending the extra money for the front coil overs in the near future and stage 3 has earned my business for life thank yall

Didn't take a lot of time to install. The shocks are definitely better than most brands you can buy at a parts house. It is quite a workout to compress the shock back up if you miss your lower bracket. The ride difference is night and day difference and stage 3 is awesome.

Got these over 6 months and didn't have the time to install them. I finally installed them and they are way better than crappy Pro Comp ES9000s that came with my lift. Very happy with these going to get the spacer replaced here shortly with Fox full size coilovers.

Valving is very strong and a good firm ride. I like that. Not thrilled about the fact the bushings were a two piece design though. I was would rather have a solid one piece. The reason for purchasing these shocks was because the top bushings fell out and there was a lot of rattling noises when driving. We will see how long these last!!

These shocks ride great over the stock shocks you usually get with any basic 6inch lift. However if you are truly looking for the best ride possible, I would recommend the fox rear shocks with the remote reservoirs. They are a bit more expensive but definitely worth it. Overall I've been happy with these fox 2.0 shocks. A definite must, for any lifted truck

Customer Answer These are designed to replace shocks on 6" suspension lifts which on most kits is a 4-5" block. Using them on a block that measures 6.25" would definitely have them at max extension and wouldn't be ideal.

Customer Answer Since the Fox 2.0s are a monotube shock, orientation doesn't technically matter. We generally recommend a body-up, shaft-down orientation.

Customer Answer This shock should work with a 4" rear block and add-a-leaf combo, though it will be pretty maxed out at that point. BDS does not offer a full drop-in reservoir shock. We do have a semi-universal Fox 2.0 Reservoir Shock with sleeves that will work.

Customer Answer 1). If your shocks are the issue, then this shock can help. However, you should look at other potential issues such as a bad pinion bearing, carrier bearing (if your truck has a two-piece driveshaft), possible IWE or wheel hub/bearing issue, CVs, etc. 2). This shock can handle towing applications just fine, and will likely help you loaded handling, if anything.

Customer Answer There would be a difference, but it wouldn't be dramatic if you've just installed the BDS lift with a set of NX2s. One the NX2s start to wear a bit, you'll start to see more of a difference in performance, and that would be a much better time to upgrade.

Customer Answer A 6.5" rear block is likely a bit too tall for these shocks. Dropping down to a maximum of a 6" block should be fine, though going down to a 5" to 5.5" rear block would definitely be more ideal.

Customer Answer As long as the lift has a 4" or 5" rear block, this shock should work just fine. I'm not sure what the older MaxTrac 6" lifts used now that MaxTrac only offers either a 4.5" or 7" spindle lift for the 2017 F150s.

Customer Answer You'd probably be better off with this shock for 6" lifts. The shocks for 4" lifts are really designed for 2-3" of net ride height over stock, while the shocks for 6" lifts are designed for 4-5" net ride height over stock. The Rough Country 4" lifts come with 2" stacker rear blocks as standard, which you then added 1.5" worth of add-a-leaf to, so you're at 3.5"-ish of net lift after the add-a-leaf break-in.

Customer Answer The install can be done with the truck on the ground. However, it is a bit easier to get the shock into position with the truck in the air, since you don't have to compress the shock as much to line it up with the mounts.

Customer Answer This shock is designed for 4-5" rear blocks. The BDS shock for 4" lifts is designed for 2-4" rear blocks. Your choice is really going to depend on what size block/add-a-leaf combination your lift kit is using.

Customer Answer They can be rebuilt by either sending them to BDS, or by purchasing a rebuild kit and having it done at a local off-road shop. Your best bet would be to call us directly at 623-434-5277 to go over your options or see if we can do any troubleshooting before you commit to a rebuild.

Customer Answer That's really going to depend on size rear block/leaf spring combination is being used in the rear, since most lift height sizes are only based on the front lift. As long as your truck is using a 5" block or a 5" block with a 1.5" add-a-leaf without any issues. If you're not sure about your F150's rear setup, give us a call directly at 623-434-5277.

Customer Answer Technically speaking, a better choice for a 4" lift kit would be BDS's Fox 2.0 Shock for 4" Lifts. However, because you're running a 1.5" add-a-leaf in conjunction with your lift, this version for 6" lifts may be your better bet, assuming your lift kit came with either 4" block or 2" stacked block.

Customer Question I currently have these shocks with a 4" rear block and want to go down to a 3". Is it ok to run these shocks temporarily until I can get the shorter shocks or will it compromise my ride? Thanks.

Customer Answer I personally wouldn't run these shocks with a 3" block. At that low of height you're really pushing down into their valving, and you'd likely damage them before you can sell them off. Your ride likely wouldn't be overly compromised. If you're dropping down to a 3" block, you could feasibly just use your factory shocks in the interim or the shocks that came with your lift.

Customer Answer If you have an older 2004-2008 F150 with a BDS 8" lift, then this shock will work just fine. If you have a newer 2009-2014 F150, then the shock would also work with most 8" lift applications, as long as it's not a long-travel system.

Customer Answer You'd be fine with that setup, especially if you're at 6" of lift, since there's really not much of an alternative. Just keep in mind that this shock is for F150s with 6" lift kit with 4" to 5" rear blocks. If you're at factory ride height or have up to a 3" block in the rear, you should take a look at the standard stock replacement Fox 2.0 shocks or the F150Lifts BOSS rear shocks.

Customer Answer This shock will fit 2008 F150s if and only if they're equipped with a 6" Lift Kit, RWD trucks included. Unfortunately, BDS does not make a 6" lifted front coilover for the 2004 to 2008 RWD F150s at this time.
