I considered several options in gaining some front end clearance for my 285/65R20 KO2's. After much research and deliberation I nearly bought the Rancho's... Ultimately I spent a few more dollars (and a new ProComp 3 rear block) and I couldn't be more satisfied. Stage 3's customer service and product knowledge was excellent and the shocks arrived sooner than expected. Install easy with 2 people and the ride is so much nicer than factory! Less than 100 miles and the truck just soaks up the bumps! (I also installed the Fox 2.0 rears before these - incredible difference)

Very nice set of coilovers. The truck leveled out. Would be good if Fox told you how much lift the coilovers were set at when they arrive in the box. Instead of having to install, then adjust.

Great Coil Overs , and probably the best price available anywhere along with Free fast shipping is hard to beat . I replaced another Brand of coil overs that used the oem coil spring that wasn't up to par IMO with these Fox 2.0's . The body roll I hated so much is now pretty much gone thanks to the heavier 650lb Eibach coil springs and the ride is so much better than the other brand I had on the truck prior its like day and night . You can't go wrong with these Fox coil overs on an f150 they work well together , the ride is more firm than oem but still smooth when you hit bumps ... very happy with the FOX brand and Stage3 for having spectacular prices and really fast shipping ....

Overall, these are of great quality and ride nice. It's comparable to the bilstein 5100 shocks on ride quality, maybe slightly better than the 5100. The appearance is top notch. My only half complaint is that if you plan on adjusting ride height (they come preset with 2 of lift), you will need a wall mount type of spring compressor to make it work (3 arms top and bottom with narrow hooks). The coils don't have a ton of space between them so the normal loose clamps will not safely work. Just keep that in mind. Other than that, these are great coil overs!

Awesome coilovers and so glad I went with the these Fox 2.0. Bought these to level out my ecoboost and for a better ride with my 34 tires. These were really easy to install and only took about an hour. Couldn't beat Stage 3's price and had them 2 days later after ordering.

I want to start off with saying that they came in fast and on time. Stage 3 was a huge help with accommodating my requests! So far these coilovers have handled everything I have thrown at them with ease! I towed 7500 lbs across the USA with these on the front and have taken them off pavement as well and both times they performed amazingly. I am easily clearing 34" tires on stock wheels with room to spare. If you have an F150 I would recommend using Stage 3 and getting these coil overs!

Customer Question Are these springs softer or more firm than the oem spring? I have Bilstein 5100s and oem springs at 2 inches of lift. I am wanting something softer.

Asked by: Cody - 6/20/2024
Customer Answer The Eibach springs Fox uses in their coilovers will not be softer than stock springs as they still need to support the weight of the vehicle. With that being said, they were designed and tested on this kit at the 2" height, and will ride much better than trying to squeeze the factory spring with a strut assembly.

Customer Question I installed these on a factory stock 2013 FX4 4WD. The previous coil overs were factory original OEM FoMoCo (9 years old). I didn’t adjust the height of the coil overs, expecting them to add 2”. Measuring before and after, they only lifted the truck 1/2”. How can I now confirm that there were set at 2”, and if they are, what are my options now - add a 1.5” spacer? Replace these?

Asked by: PJ - 4/5/2022
Customer Answer Your best bet would be to measure the unloaded length of the springs. According to Fox, to be at a 2" ride height, the springs should measure 13.25" on a bench or on the truck with the suspension fully drooped. If they're measuring longer than that, the coilovers don't have enough preload set for a 2" ride height. If they aren't, then you can adjust the coilovers up without additional hardware. Customer Question I bought the bundle with the 2.0 coilovers and the rear shocks, after I installed them now my front end sits about .5 an inch higher and you can really feel it when sitting in the truck not to mention I drive daily on the highway (70mph) and you can feel the front catching air and trying to push the front around. My question is since they are adjustable: 1- how can I tell if they are at the 2" lift mark and 2- Is taking them off to compress spring the only way to adjust them?

Asked by: chris - 3/8/2022
Customer Answer At their 2" ride height setting out-of-the-box, there should be around 3" of thread showing under the lower adjustment collar, and the spring should measure 13.23" when unloaded on a bench. Unfortunately, the only way to adjust these coilovers is to compress the spring, loosen the collar retaining screw, and then turn the collar by hand.

Customer Question I have a 2013 F150 Raptor SVT. Are these an upgrade from the stock factory equipped FOX shocks that came on the Gen 1 Raptors? Mine are going bad and need replacing. If these wouldn't work, what Fox models/part number would you recommend?

Asked by: Aric Dierkhising - 8/22/2021
Customer Answer These shocks will not fit a 2013 Raptor. These 2.0s are only meant for standard 2009-2013 F150s. You can find our selection of aftermarket Raptor Coilovers here. If you're looking for something more cost-effective, your best bet would trying to find a set of OEM Fox 2.5 take-offs.

Customer Question I have a 2.5in autospring thinking of changing to 2in coilovers. What size tire is recommended with a 17x9 -12 offset? Note: currently have 33.5x11.5 and they rub front and back at full turn. 13 f150 4x4

Asked by: Michigan - 4/29/2021
Customer Answer We generally recommend using no larger than a 33x11.50", especially with your current offset and backspacing. Even then, you may still see some rub with certain tires that are slightly taller or wider than their section widths and base diameters indicate. Unfortunately, a 17x9" wheel with -12mm offset pushes the tire out to where its apex and the curve of the wheel well don't tend to get along.

Customer Question If I add this to my 6.5” McGaughys lift and I set it to 2”, it would raise my truck to technically a 8.5” lift?

Asked by: AustinGuidry - 11/1/2020
Customer Answer Technically, yes, but you introduce other problems and you may end up over-stretching brake lines, throwing off your suspension geometry, possibly needing driveshaft spacers, and other problems. We haven't tried it ourselves, so we can't say for certain what potential issues you may run into.

Customer Question Is it possible to use a 2" level spacer and run these on the 0" setting for a softer ride? Or do I have to do away with the spacer and set these to 2" max height?

Asked by: Wyoming - 9/24/2020
Customer Answer There's no reason why you can't. The only real issue is that the 2.0s are kind of a pain to adjust, but if you do want the softest ride quality possible, then keeping preload off the spring is the way to do it.

Customer Question I ordered a Rough Country 4 inch lift and want to upgrade the shocks & coil overs. Will these work with my 4 inch lift ? 2013 fwd fx4

Asked by: Ethanol - 9/8/2020
Customer Answer You can technically use these coilovers in conjunction with a 4" lift kit's strut spacers. However, we strongly recommend setting the coilovers to a 0" factory ride height before installing them with Rough Country's spacers. However, you cannot use these coilovers as a standalone replacement, since they are not long enough to work with a 4" lift on their own.

Customer Question Will these for on a 2 wheel drive f150

Asked by: Tj - 5/18/2020

Asked by: 2010f150 - 1/9/2020
Customer Answer Technically, yes. You just have to keep in mind that the coilovers usually come out of the box at 2" of ride height, so you'd have to reduce their ride height to get where you want. We also can't guarantee what kind of ride quality you'll get out of the combination.

Customer Question Are these compatible to use with my BDS 4” lift with rear Fox shocks to upgrade my front OEM coilovers and struts?

Asked by: JMPSCREW4WD - 1/27/2019
Customer Answer As long as you reuse your BDS strut spacers with these coilovers, they will work. However, we do recommend taking the Fox 2.0s down to a 0" factory ride height before install. Standard Fox 2.0s will not work with a BDS 4" Lift Kit. You will need the BDS Fox 2.0s for 4" Lift Kits.

Customer Question I'm going to install these with a 4" rough country lift. I'm going to just adjust them down to factory height with the RC spacer. I don't know how far down to adjust them. Any idea how many turns it will take? I REALLY don't want to take these back off the truck to readjust. Thanks!

Asked by: Jonathon Sturm - 10/24/2018
Customer Answer According to Fox, every two complete 360° turns of the lower adjustment collar get your a 1/4" change in ride height. In theory, you'd need about 16 turns of the collar to get to a 0" factory ride height if the coilovers come at their standard 2" of leveling out of the box.

Customer Question Which one will you recommend for little to no amount of off road these or the halo boss trail and what are their differences?

Asked by: Oscar - 6/18/2018
Customer Answer If you're not doing much off-roading, then the real question is how much ride height you're looking to gain. If you're good with just two inches worth of leveling, then the Fox coilovers will be adequate. If you're looking to get more than 2" of ride height, then you should probably go with the Halo Lifts Boss Coilovers. That all being said, if you're not doing much (if any) off-roading, then you may want to go with a leveled strut assembly like the Bilstein 5100s or the Eibach Pro-Truck Sport Kit.

Customer Question I'd read on some of other posted FAQ's that the 4WD version would fit the 2WD models and provide slightly more lift over stock. If that's the case with these would I be able to clear 285/75r17's on a 2011 SCrew XLT?

Asked by: Chris - 6/9/2018
Customer Answer The 4WD version does provide slightly more lift on RWD trucks then what they're technically rated for. Depending on your wheels, you'll likely clear that particular tire with either the RWD or 4WD variants of these coilovers.

Customer Question I have a 2009 f150 FX4, with a 6" rough country suspension lift. I recently bought a 2" level to go ontop of the coil spacer that was already on due to the rough country lift, and camburg UCA's. When everything was assembled, the camburg UCA was rubbing on 6" coilspacer. Will these coilovers fix my problem?

Asked by: Ryan - 5/11/2017
Customer Answer Probably not. The issue is that you're essentially throwing of the suspension geometry with the leveling kit, causing your UCA angles to be out of spec, which would happen with any leveling system installed in conjunction with the Rough Country Kit, whether it's coilovers or a spacer. The only way coilovers would help is if the UCA's are only rubbing on the part of the strut spacer where it flanges out to meet the actual coilover. Removing the spacer and installing the coilovers might move that meeting point back to where it should be allowing the UCAs to avoid hitting. However, we can't strictly guarantee that.

Customer Question If you stacked this with a 6" rough country lift still using the 6" spacer, what kind of ride quality are you going to notice? Stiffer, softer? advantages over disadvantages? And how will this affect on road driving as well as off road driving? as this is my daily but also a weekend warrior.

Asked by: Wyatt - 4/27/2017
Customer Answer We can't strictly guarantee anything, but in theory, you would see just about all of the ride quality changes that you would if you were installing the kit on a bone-stock truck. While there would be a mild increase in stiffness, you would get more control, less roll, and improved rebound and compression over bumps. Still, one of the biggest improvements you can make to a Rough Country lift kit would be a set of BDS's Fox 2.0 Rear shocks to replace Rough Country's more basic shocks.

Asked by: 2013 4x4 Lariat - 2/1/2017
Customer Answer There really aren't increments. The coilover body is threaded, so they're adjustable anywhere from 2" of ride height to a 0" stock ride height. Out of the box, they are set at a full 2" of height.

Customer Question Will the coilover kits put as much stress and wear on your front end as a regular spacer leveling kit or are they better?

Asked by: Cory - 10/28/2016
Customer Answer Both spacers and coilovers will still throw off your front suspension geometry, leading to slightly more stress and wear (though likely not enough for you to have an issue with your truck). Coilovers will just get you better ride quality and significantly better off-road performance. Spacer kits are just less expensive.

Asked by: Bruce - 3/7/2016
Customer Answer You may seem some slight rub, but without knowing your wheel widths, it's tough to say. You can use the Fox coilovers to go slightly higher, and while they would throw off your CV, UCA, and LCA angles to some degree, they wouldn't be overly "messed up" to suffer damage or terrible ride quality. Honestly, your best bet would be to call us directly at 1-877-578-2433 so we can get more specific with what you have and your current clearances.

Customer Question I own a 2011 f150 ecoboost fx4 with a 4" Rough country lift. Would these be able to replace the stock strut assembly? also would you be able to have them at their 2" height without putting UCA in a bind?

Asked by: 2011ECOBOOST - 12/16/2015
Customer Answer You could use these coilovers to replace your factory struts, as long as you kept the Rough Country Strut Spacer that comes with the lift kit. Using the coilovers at their full 2" of leveling height will throw off your UCA angles to some degree, but no more than they would on a stock F150 without a lift kit. Your only real issue will be that you'll end up with a nose-high stance, though that can be corrected with a larger rear block or an add-a-leaf kit.

Customer Answer They will not. You would need to reuse the spacer for these to fit, as they're designed as OE strut replacements. If you're looking for a full-length solution, you'd need the BDS/Fox 6" Lift Coilover Kit.

Customer Question I have a 2013 with a 6 inch Fabtech basic lift. Would I be able to throw these on and crank them up the 2" to get 8 inches of lift in the front? As you did on your project truck with the BOSS coil overs. Thank You.

Asked by: Jarrod - 12/20/2014
Customer Answer I'm pretty sure that you could, though Fabtech's kits actually put their spacer in the lower strut mount on the LCA, rather than the upper mount like with the Zone kit we used on our own project truck. Secondly, you'll get some rearward rake if you do go up the full 2", unless you add lift in the rear.

Customer Question I have a 2013 f150 ecoboost with a rough country 6 inch lift. can Fox 2.0 coilovers be used in place of the factory shocks ? The 6 inch lift kit kept them in with spacers on top...

Asked by: Chris 2013 f150 - 5/28/2014
Customer Answer Yes, you can use these coilovers, but you would need to make sure that they're set at a 0", stock ride height.

Customer Question Are these height adjustable with the shocks and wheels on the truck, or do the wheels or shocks have to be removed to adjust them?

Asked by: Kevin - 4/19/2014
Customer Answer According to FOX's install guide, you don't need to remove the wheels, but you do have to jack the truck up. That being said, if you have larger wheel/tire combinations than stock, you might have trouble getting a good angle (or even just getting to) the adjustment collar.

Customer Question How will these hold up in the winter with salted roads? I live in NH and need something that will last with all the chemicals they put down on the roads in the colder months.

Asked by: Mike - 4/18/2014
Customer Answer They'll actually do pretty well. Everything is anodized and/or powder coated to resist corrosion. The only thing you'll need to watch out for is getting nicks and dings that get through. All in all, you shouldn't have a problem.

Customer Question I have a 2 inch leveling kit installed on my 2013 Ecoboost already. Will these shocks still work with the leveling kit? And give me a total of 4 inch of lift in the front?

Asked by: Toby Cunningham - 4/5/2014
Customer Answer Depending on the leveling kit, it may be possible. That being said we STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. Lifting the front end of the truck like that will seriously throw off your UCA and CV angles, not to mention neither the Fox Shocks or leveling kit are designed to perform like that so you could easily run into problems. Your truck's drivability and suspension performance would suffer immensely. If you want four inches of ride height, you are much better off with a complete lift kit.
