3" of Front Suspension for 2019-2023 Ford Rangers

While the 2019-2023 Ford Ranger is certainly capable of getting through off-road terrain, adding some leveling parts can give you a better ride and prevent damage to your midsize truck's bottom. This pair of FOX 2.0 IFP Performance Series Front Coilovers have an adjustable ride height from 0" to 3" of lift, making them an effective leveling system to stay scratch-free on rocky terrain. The coilovers come pre-set at 2" for 4WD Rangers and 2.5" for RWD Rangers out of the box to reduce rake and provide some extra tire clearance. FOX designs each of their 2.0 coilovers from the ground up to get you maximum performance, improved response, and much better articulation off road.

Built for Performance and Reliability

Each FOX 2.0 coilover is built around a tough aluminum-body, nitrogen-charged coilover shock that's wrapped with a finely-tuned spring that work together to provide excellent suspension performance off-road. While some leveling kits sacrifice ride quality for suspension, these coilovers work without compromising your truck's smooth street ride. Both the body and mounts are made with 6061-T6 aluminum to maximize heat dissipation without losing strength. The coilovers feature a 5/8" chrome-plated, heat-treated shaft with a high-flow piston design and valving that's tuned for your Ranger. The coilover has an internal reservoir design that keeps the specially formulated oil separate from the nitrogen. The 2.0 coilovers have high-quality, redundant seals that make them extremely reliable under even the most extreme conditions.

2019 Ford Ranger FX4

Very easy install and the ride is great. With the factory preset my truck still doesn’t sit quite level, gave me about 2 inches of ride height but clears 265/75r16 perfectly. Kit did not come with a adjustment wrench which it really should but I’m happy.

2019 Ford ranger

Improved ride quality, came out of box preloaded with 2” lift. When installing recommend having someone to help in stall if doing it your self.

2019 ford ranger xlt

I installed fox 2.0 struts and BDS upper control arms in one afternoon not to hard I disconnected sway bar links and lower control arm bolts and factory struts dropped right out the bottom and fox struts went right in. didn't need to remove axle nut. As far as the lift and ride quality goes I love the level look big fan. The ride quality is a huge improvement in my opinion. Factory ride in the front end was to soft had excessive bounce and nose dive when braking which made it difficult to drive aggressively. With the fox 2.0 it know had the right stiffness and the excessive bounce is gone so I can drive It with confidence. I tried the Eibach strut with factory spring in the past and it was to harsh of a ride and the fox 2.0 doesn't have that harshness. One other thing I don't think the BDS upper control arms were necessary buy I wanted to make sure that it would align properly, but I think it would have ben just fine without.

2020 Ford Ranger

I just installed the Fox 2.0 shocks with the Icon UCA's. After an alignment I drove it around for a little while, and I am completely satisfied with the handling and ride characteristics of this modification. The ride is firm without being stiff and the handling is much more responsive than the stock 'passenger car' original feel. If you do this install yourself, unbolt the axle shaft nut and the Anti-Sway bar link. Trust me. Do it. You will save yourself hours of frustration and aggravation. It took four hours on the driver's side because the CV came apart and the sway bar link ball popped out. Both required removal and bench repair to complete the install. The passenger side took one hour. Unbolt the axle nut. It goes back together a lot easier than trying to reseat the CV. My truck now rides like a truck should. It leveled out and raised the front two inches at the wheel well and three inches at the license plate.

21 RANGER XLT FX4

Fox 2.0 front coils, impressive improvement over stock. No more no nose dive during hard braking. Noticeably less body roll during hard turns. Stiff on the street, yet soaks up small bumps, ruts WAY better than stock.

I have a 2024 ford ranger would these front coilovers fit it? Not the rear just the front.

Fox has not listed these as working with the 2024 Rangers, and we have not tried to fit them ourselves. We could not guarantee you would not have any clearance issues trying to run these on a 2024 model.

Just one of lower bushing for my shock went bad. Do I have to replace the entire shock?

If just a bushing is bad, you can just replace the bushing. I would recommend reaching out to Fox or a suspension part supplier that would carry parts for shock rebuilds as they would be able to get you just the bushing if you have the tools and ability to do that.

This combination will work but will take some fine tuning of the coilover height to get it to the height you need an may require installation and removal a few times to get them dialed in.

It's not recommended. The coilovers require their springs to be compressed in order to adjust their ride height, and the springs are strong enough that we strongly recommend using a floor or wall-mounted spring compressor.

Do you think crashbar removal is necessary with the following... 2022 XLT Fx4 Fox 2.0s at preset 2" height 17x8" Wheel +25mm offset with a 265/70/17 or 275/70/17

You would likely not have to trim with either of those tire options on your choice of wheel with the Fox 2.0s, though you might see a hint of rub when turning and articulating at the same time with the 275/70R17s.

These coilovers are not confirmed to fit the Tremors. Even if they were, they would only provide .5" to 1" of ride height gain, since the Tremors already sits higher than the base Rangers.

I want to maintain some rake for when I tow or haul. What would be the best lift adjustment for that, 1"?

In general, it takes about 2.5" of front leveling to get the 4WD Rangers to a "dead-level" stance. Your adjustment is really going to depend on how much tongue weight you're running and how much sag you end up with. At 1" of ride height, you would still have at least some rake. If you are getting a lot of sag, you may want to consider some sort of rear lift or load support.

What's the max size wheel and tire package I could fit with this installed, without having to trim and have no rubbing?

That's an impossible thing to answer since the widths, offsets, and backspacing of the wheels are going to MASSIVELY determine your tire fitments, and there are a bunch of different wheel options to choose from. In general, a 32x11" tire or close metric equivalent (i.e. 275/70R17) will clear without rubbing on a lot of wheel options with the coilovers at their max ride height. Your best bet would be to call us directly at 623-434-5277 so we can get more specific about what you're looking for.

Looking through reviews and seeing a lot of heights acheived less than 3". Understanding that these are adjustable and come with 3" preset, should I be expecting actual lift to be substantially less than 3"?

According to Fox, they now have the out-of-the-box ride height set at 2" for the 4WD Rangers and 2.5" for the RWD Rangers. Ride height can be adjusted by compressing the coilover's spring, loosening the collar's retaining nut, and then adjusting the collar by hand. According to Fox, every .50" worth of collar adjustment is equal to about 1" of ride height gain.

To adjust the ride height of these coilovers, you'd have to compress the spring, unscrew the retention screw in the adjustment collar, then adjust the collar to where you want the ride height.
