Designed to the exact specifications of your Mustang, these Power Stop Cross-Drilled and Slotted Rear Rotors are a high-performance replacement for your stock OEM rotors. With much better performance than your factory rotors, you'll notice a huge improvement as these front blanks were drilled and slotted to provide enhanced stopping power in an inexpensive, easy-to-install kit. Being that these rotors are cross-drilled and slotted, each disc will quickly expunge hot gases and debris in a much more efficient manner than stock which provides for more predictable and smoother braking when you need it most. Compared to a solid-surface rotor, this PowerTech rotor doesn't allow gases released by the brake pad to create a cushion between the pad and brake rotor which can rob your system of control.

Each of the rotors' drilled holes are from careful CNC machining and lead down into the rotors vane network. The intricate drilling greatly reduces heat across the rotors' surface, keeping them up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit cooler than your stock blanks. The slot designs across the surface of each rotor clear away brake dust, gasses, and other debris away from your pads to give you more bite and consistent braking performance. The rotors have a zinc dichromate finish that's corrosion resistant and has a nice silver color that looks great behind a set of Mustang Aftermarket Wheels.

Power Stop Extreme Bedding Note: The break in procedure is critical to brake performance. The reason for a proper break in is to establish an even layer of friction material deposited on the rotors from the brake pads. It is very important that this initial layer of friction material is evenly distributed. Break in the pads as follows: 5 moderate to aggressive stops from 40 mph down to 10 mph in rapid succession without letting the brakes cool and do not come to a complete stop. Then do 5 moderate stops from 35 mph to 5 mph in rapid succession without letting the brakes cool. You should expect to smell some resin as the brakes get hot. After this is complete, drive around for as long as possible without excessively heating the brakes and without coming to a complete stop (Try for about 5 minutes at moderate speed). This is the cooling stage. It allows the heated resin in the brake pads to cool and cure. After the brakes have cooled to standard operating temperature, you may use the brakes normally.
