As seen in the picture above, the Ford Tremor comes with 35" tires which is something that can be easily added to your truck along with some 18" wheels to really make it stand out. One example of some wheels that we have that can really give your truck an aggressive look is the Zephyr D633 wheels from Fuel. These wheels are painted matte black and provides a great combination to any black or smoked accessories and parts, if black is not your style, check out our wide selection of 18" wheels for something that is more your speed. Ford promotes that Tremor comes with the new Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires that are advertised to be a "workhorse tire for off-road terrain that still offers a quieter ride on paved roads". Although we do not have these Duratracs for sale just yet, we do have options that are equivalent like BF Goodrich KO2s, Nitto Ridge Grapplers (seen below), Toyo R/Ts, or Falken Wildpeak A/T01
The first thing that is mentioned in Ford’s press release about the “Tremor” package after the 35” tires is the ability to add an “impressive 10.8 inches of ground clearance”. One of the ways that you can do that is to add something like this 2.5" Coilover Radius Arm Suspension System from BDS. This kit is one that comes highly rated according to customers and is a little bit on the high side price-wise but the trade-off with this kit comes with radius arms and FOX 2.0 Series front and rear shocks. This system would either match or surpass the ground clearance that the Tremor gives you and adds in suspension from one of the most respected brands in the business. Check out more about these FOX shocks here. If you want to get even better performance while staying under budget, you can upgrade from the FOX 2.0s to the FOX 2.0s with remote reservoirs and still be under the cost of the overall package. The remote reservoirs help increase oil capacity for you to be able to control how much oil enters the main body depending on what sort of terrain you need to conquer in your truck. Here at Stage 3 we have the remote reservoir shocks for the front and rear of your truck for an all around performance upgrade. Also if you are planning on adding some height to your truck, be sure to look at some side steps or nerf bars so you can get into it.
The next order of businesses would be to ensure that your build can have the best towing and payload handling possible that is not going to negate your truck’s off-road capabilities. Since Ford offers the Tremor as the best “all-around” truck. An easy and inexpensive way to ensure that your truck will be able to better handle closer to your trucks stock payload would be a rear airbag system like the Big Wig Air Bag Kit from Hellwig. Hellwig created this kit to have 2800 pounds of weight on either side which prevents premature suspension wear and instability while towing. It also will not get in the way of the upgraded suspension from the kit above, and is competitively priced. This airbag system is specifically designed for 4WD trucks and ensures a more stable and controlled ride when towing or hauling.
Taking the time to add in some accessories is something else you can do with your truck to give it an aggressive look that can make it stand out. Check out our wide selection of front and rear bumpers, and other exterior upgrades here at Stage 3 Motorsports.
