The Shelby GT500's supercharged 5.4L V8 loves to breathe, and adding a high-quality set of long tube headers and a matching mid-pipe can get your awesome GT500 build big-time gains in horsepower and torque with the right custom tuning. Stainless Works' 1-7/8" Catted Long Tube Header System is the perfect choice for GT500s that want huge gains in power and performance while keeping drone and rasp down over off-road header systems. The Stainless Works Kit includes headers with massive 1-7/8" primary tubes and a 3" collector that's paired with a high-flow catted mid-pipe in your choice of an X or H-pipe configuration so you can tailor your GT500's sound just to your liking. Stainless Works manufactures their system out of high-quality 304 stainless steel, making their Catted Factory Connect System a great way to get excellent performance and reliability without breaking the bank.

304 Stainless Steel Long Tube Headers with 1-7/8" Primaries and 3" Collectors

Stainless Works Long Tube Headers were carefully designed from the ground up to provide your GT500 with greatly improved exhaust outflow and efficiency over stock, all while dropping right into place of your GT500's factory manifolds without permanent modifications. Stainless Works' long tube headers are built around huge 1-7/8" diameter primary tubes that are each carefully mandrel-bent to ensure optimal exhaust flow down to the collector assembly. The headers are held onto your GT500's exhaust ports using 3/8" thick flanges that hold them firmly in place. The primary tubes lead down to a 3" diameter collector housing that effectively combines exhaust pulses into a single stream and shuttles it all out into the mid-pipe assembly. The headers are made entirely out of 304 stainless steel and can resist corrosion and discoloration in practically any climate or application.

3" Diameter Mid-Pipe in Your Choice of an X-Pipe of H-Pipe

The Stainless Works System comes with a new shorty mid-pipe to match the long tube headers and to keep their performance gains going throughout your GT500's exhaust system. The mid-pipe is available in both a X or H configuration, both of which are available from our drop-down menu above. The X-pipe maximizes overall efficiency and gives your GT500 a vicious race car-style rasp. The H-pipe features slightly less efficient flow, but gives your GT500 a more old-school V8 rumble like the Mustangs of yesteryear. Your choice of mid-pipe will feature 3" diameter tubing that's all mandrel-bent with a true cross-over assembly to help equalize pressure and improve overall efficiency. Your mid-pipe of choice comes standard with a pair of Stainless Works high-flow catalytic converters that keep drone and rasp down while still improving exhaust flow over stock. Just like the headers, the mid-pipe is made from 304 stainless steel. The mid-pipe features Stainless Works' Factory Connect System that allows it to be used with your GT500's stock cat-back system and most other aftermarket cat-back exhaust kits.

Custom Tuning Required: this system requires custom tuning for proper function and power gains.
