Our good friends over at aFe have brought their Bladerunner Intercooler series over to the EcoBoost F150s at long last. aFe has long been one of the leaders in EcoBoost F150 performance parts development, thanks mainly to their Stage 2 Cold Air Intake and their unique Bladerunner Charge Pipe. While they've kind of been beaten to the punch in the intercooler department by Wagner and ATP, the aFe Bladerunner intercooler is still an excellent option for your truck, especially if you're still looking for a way to defeat the dreaded condensation issues that has been the bane of the EcoBoost trucks since they first rolled off the line. The aFe Bladerunner intercooler has a high-quality design and is over 95% efficient to give your EcoBoost V6 cooler IATs and better airflow for some excellent power gains, especially after tuning and other modifications.
The aFe Bladerunner Intercooler features an aluminum bar-plate design with a massive 3" core that cools in bound charge air much more efficiently than stock while also improving airflow for excellent performance and power gains. Each of these awesome intercoolers come standard with a bypass flange that can accept the electronic blow-off valve of 2013 and 2014 EcoBoost F150s, but also comes with a block-off plate for 2011 and 2012 F150s. The Bladerunner Intercooler has TIG-welded aluminum end tanks that are fitted with specially-designed Multi-directional vanes that help to evenly direct air across the entire core. The Bladerunner intercooler has up to 20% improved airflow over stock all while lowering IATs. Not to mention, the Bladerunner Intercooler even comes with a 1/8" NPT breather port that drains moisture out of the intercooler to help alleviate the infamous condensation issues. The port can also be blocked off with a plug if you're already running around with catch cans or other upgrades that deal with the issue.
