As an XL packaged work truck, our F150 didn't come with much in the way of accessories or upgrades. To spruce up our workhorse's appearance we bolted on a black mesh grille and then moved around back to install a new Truxedo Duece 2 cover and TonneauMate toolbox for better utility! Read below to get all the details on these accessories.
2.0mm Mesh Packaged Grille with Shell
The stock grille of our 2011 XL Work truck had been beat, which was a shame, because if it was in good shape, it would've fit right in with our styling theme. Unfortunately, it was dented, cracked, missing its badge, and had broken badge mounts. To replace the grille, we got ourselves a 2.0mm Mesh Packaged Grille with Shell. This awesome grille kit drops right into place without any cutting, and includes both a mesh inner grille, and a gloss black shell that gives it a great look.
TruXedo Deuce 2 Tonneau Cover
A Stage 3 truck doesn't stay un-tonneau'd for long, and it was high time we got a tonneau cover installed on our old Workhorse. We wanted the most utility possible while keeping a clean look, and the tonneau cover that fit the bill was the TruXedo Deuce 2 Tonneau Cover. The Deuce 2 is a roll-up tonneau cover that is also capable of folding roughly in half from the cab back, allowing you easy access to the front of your bed or to an under-tonneau toolbox. We took full advantage of the Deuce 2's functionality to also install a TruXedo TonneauMate Toolbox, which fit perfectly under the folding section of Deuce 2 and gave us easy access to tools and recovery gear. This was, by far and away, one of the handiest and utilitarian tonneau and toolbox setups that we've ever put on a truck.
