We here at Stage 3 love our lift kits, loud exhausts and meaty tires as much as the next guy, but we also love the simple mods that make big changes in a truck's utility. Our 2015 F150 got plenty of these mods to make sure we not only had a good looking truck, but a functional one as well. We threw on a BAKflip G2 Tonneau Cover, BedRug Liner, Swing Case toolbox, AMP Power Steps and much more. MORE INFO ON OUR ACCESSORY INSTALLS
Unsurprisingly, we wasted no time getting under the hood of our F150 looking for ways to crank up the power. Now, the twin turbo 3.5L EcoBoost is a solid engine in stock form, but it gets far better with the addition of custom tuning and performance modifications. Our 2015 F150 got a major wake up call with a new aFe Stage 2 Intake, aFe Intercooler, MBRP exhaust, 5-Star Custom Tune and a few other great bolt-ons. MORE INFO ON OUR ENGINE & EXHAUST UPGRADES
While exterior upgrades are all well and good, we wanted our F150 project truck to be as nice on the inside as it is on the outside. To protect our carpet from all the dirt and mud on the trails, we put down some Husky WeatherBeater Floor Mats. To give the sound system a bump in quality, we opted for a Kicker Speaker Upgrade Kit. In true Stage 3 style, this F150 has been wired front to back with fantastic lighting upgrades. We really can't help ourselves when it comes to shiny things. LED Headlights, 40" Rigid Radius LED Light Bars and KC Flex HiLites are just a few of the upgrades we've bolted on to this truck. Although it may seem a bit excessive, the night time visibility and overall style is undeniably awesome. MORE INFO ON OUR LIGHTING UPGRADES
Instead of jumping straight into a massive 6" lift right off the bat, we decided to test out a few different leveling kit options on our 2015 F150 to see what kind of stance and off road capability we could gain. The kits we tested were the Auto Spring 2" Spacers, Fox 2.0 Coilovers, Icon Stage 2 Kit, and the HaloLifts BOSS Coilovers. We also mounted up a set of 33" Pro Comp Xtreme MT2's on the factory FX4 wheel. MORE INFO ON OUR LEVELING KITS & TIRES
Our F150 project truck performed very well with the various leveling kits we tested on it, but 6" of lift was still the end goal. So sure enough, it was a Zone 6" BOSS Coilover Lift that went on next. The Zone 6" kit would provide us with the size and clearance we needed to fit our new 20x10" Fuel Maverick Wheels and 35" Nitto Trail Grappler Tires. We also grabbed BDS's Fox 2.5 Remote Reservoir Front Coilovers and 2.0 Rear Shocks to give us some added adjust-ability and off-road prowess. MORE INFO ON OUR LIFT, WHEELS & TIRES
With a trail rig as big as our 2015 F150, it's crucial to get some armor on before a boulder, large branches or narrow trail has its way with the body work. Our friends at Rogue Racing hooked us up with their Rogue Rebel Front Bumper and Rogue Revolver Rear Bumper to provide some proper off-road protection and very aggressive styling. Our 2015 F150 FX4 has had no small amount of time off the pavement. We've taken this truck through rocky Phoenix desert, snow filled woods in Flagstaff and dusty trails outside Prescott. Thankfully for you guys, we've captured all the dirt and glory for you to behold in the form of photos and videos.
