Typically we would consider tonneau covers an "accessory," but in the case of this F250 build, we're installing and testing so many different versions we had to create an entire category for it! We've already tested the Extang Solid Fold 2.0, the Undercover Flex and a few others, so jump in and read our thoughts on these tonneaus as we put them to work on our 2017 Super Duty build.

Extang Solid Fold 2.0 Tonneau Cover (6.9 ft Bed)

The first tonneau cover we tested on our 2017 F250 was the Extang Solid Fold 2.0. This tri-fold hard cover was a great way to protect our tools and gear against rough weather conditions and prying eyes. It's also extremely tough since it's made from ultra-strong yet lightweight TPO dent-resistant panels as well as a super dependable hinge design that allows it to be entirely self-contained. Unfortunately, we no longer carry this specific tonneau cover from Extang, but we have a variety of of similar Tonneau Covers to protect anything you load up in your truck bed.

Undercover Flex Tri-Fold Cover (6.9 ft Bed)

The next tonneau to go on our Super Duty was Undercover's Flex Tri-Fold Tonneau. The Flex Tonneau Cover has an extremely low-profile design that sits almost perfectly flush with your Super Duty's bed. When fully open, the tonneau is held up by both a built-in prop rod and buckle straps to keep it firmly in place allowing full access to the truck's bed. The Flex Tonneau Cover was easy to install using a simple clamp and rail system and required absolutely no drilling, cutting, or other permanent modifications. BAKFlip G2 Hard-Folding Tonneau Cover (6.9 ft Bed)

If you've seen our other project truck builds you'll know that we are big fans of BAKFlips' hard folding covers so we made sure to get one installed on this F250. This G2 Tonneau Cover features BAKFlip's unique flip-up design that makes it easy to move out of your way when you need to get into the bed of your truck. Even more convenient is the cover's ability to flip its cab section in the opposite direction while the rest of the assembly stays in place. This eliminates the need to completely unroll the cover to access your gear. This cover is an excellent, durable tonneau option for any Super Duty build. Thule 500XT Xsporter Pro Adjustable Rack

Even though it's not a tonneau cover, our next step in customizing our F250's bed was to install this new Thule 500XT Xsporter Pro Adjustable Rack System. This light weight and durable aluminum rack simply clamps onto the truck bed and can be height adjusted for any application. while ours remains empty at the moment, I assure you we'll have it loaded up soon enough. This Thule rack can handle up to 450lbs of load and comes with installation instructions and hardware. However, as our inventory changes, we have unfortunately discontinued this specific rack, but we have a wide selection of Truck Racks.
