With our Big Red 6.0L rolling on a new leveling kit and larger tires, it definitely isn't as easy getting into or out of the cab. We bolted on some N-Fab side steps and added a tonneau cover to keep our gear secured and to make getting in and out of the truck effortless. We also installed a new black mesh grille for a more menacing look!
First up, we needed a tonneau cover. We frequently use all our trucks' beds, and our 6.0L wasn't going to be an exception. That being said, we needed a tonneau cover that was tough, folding, easy to use, and didn't cost us an arm and a leg. That's why we turned to the Extang Trifecta Folding Tonneau. The Trifecta drops right into the bed with no drilling and features a clean, low-profile design that helps give our big red 6.0L a sleek look. Our Super Duty came with factory running boards to make it it easier to get into and out of. Unfortunately the factory running boards look terrible so we pulled them off almost immediately and in their place we installed the far superior N-Fab Wheel-to-Wheel Nerf Bar Steps. These nerf bars have a unique dropped step design that allows for easy access into tall trucks and they have a smooth gloss black finish that matches our wheels and grille. 1999-2016 F250-F350 N-FAB Black Wheel-to-Wheel Nerf Step
The big, chrome, factory grille was not a particuarly good look on our Super Duty build, especially with smoked out lighting and black wheels. We made quick work pulling it off and throwing on a much more aggressive looking Evolution Stainless Steel Wire Mesh Grille. This 2006 F250 probably has one of the cleanest interiors of any vehicle its age. The problem is that any truck owned by Stage 3 is bound to get dirty at one point or another and we needed a way to provide a little protection for the inside of the cab.
